Old Friend
Summary
This is my life now. I work in a pub in Holmes Chapel which my parents owned. Sadly my mum passed away a few years ago.
I always worked in the pub but when my mum died I decided to help my dad more and after I graduated I worked there fulltime. I love my job.
I live in a house with three of my best friends, Laura, Julie and Janet.
I met them because they often came to the pub.
Before I met them I had a best friend, Harry. We met when we were little and grew up together. Since I was an only child I spent a lot of time with him and his family.
We did more together as we grew older. We went to the same school and studied, went out to see a movie or played music together. We both played the guitar. We wrote songs together.
One day this all changed. Harry got a girlfriend, Danielle. She was nice but every time I wanted to spend time with Harry, she was there too. I also had a little crush on him but I got over that when I met Eric.
I met Eric at high school and had a great time. But after our graduation he broke up with me because he was in love with someone else. I had a hard time, but Harry was there for me.
That summer everything changed. Harry and I grew away from each other. He really wanted to do something with his music and he did audition for the X-Factor. He moved away to London. We did talk from time to time on the phone. But that didn’t last long. My life at that moment was normal. My parents, a job and a home and lots of other friends.
