Fanfiction Help

So I don't like to talk shit on her, really. Because there normally isn't much to say. I don't bad mouth people's stories, and I don't get into arguments on here. But there is ONE thing that is really getting on my nerves.

Story Reviewers/Critiques who have no fucking idea what they're talking about. I'm subscribed to probably twenty review pages because I like to see what other people look for in stories to give me a better idea on how to review. If any of you have gotten a review from me, you'll notice that I take a lot of time to review a story and I won't just say 'spelling/grammar errors and basic storyline', like I'll spend an hour explaining something and trying to properly and carefully critique. I know that people spend hours writing a chapter and if I'm going to have a review page, I should put the same amount of effort into a review. I also WON'T post a review until I've taken all of the time to do it (aka I won't half ass it). Some OTHER reviewers on the other hand, do not.

First off, if you're going to count errors (spelling/grammar) and you misspell FIFTEEN WORDS IN YOUR REVIEW, delete your review page.

And I'm not saying that people who are writing a story and have trouble with spelling should stop writing... But if you're going to make an entire page dedicated to pretty much beta-ing someone else's story, you should probably know your shit. If you don't understand proper dialogue/description proportioning, don't review. If you can't properly write dialogue, don't review. If you can't spell Niall or Zayn's name, PLEASE DON'T REVIEW!

If you want to accuse someone of screwing up dialogue, SHOW them what to do/what not to do.

AND DON'T GIVE SOMEONE INCORRECT GRAMMAR ADVICE!!! I can't tell you how mad I get when I see someone properly writing dialogue and someone saying "It's supposed to be a period, not a coma." It literally makes me want to pull my hair out! Or correcting incorrect dialogue to even LESS correct dialogue!

Honestly, I think that this site should have an entire section for reviewers that the owners chose. Like wouldn't it be cool if you could just hit a button and someone would get a notification that your story wanted to be reviewed? Someone who actually puts time into their reviews and can give you great criticism (AND BETA'S! WE NEED BETA'S!) I've been like, dreaming about it lately lol.

I understand that reviewing stories can be fun and gives you a chance to tell people what you think of their stories (or just to be a bitch, if you're like that), but for some people, this is an outlet for their life and it makes them happy. If you aren't going to take it seriously, or give each story the time it deserves, don't do it! Don't bash a story and not explain WHY it 'doesn't make sense' or if you think the storyline is boring and overused, give ideas on how to spice it up! They're asking for an opinion, don't just give a number and one sentence and move on, it's not fair... and honestly, I don't even bother trusting reviews that don't explain. If you're really desperate for the attention from authors and having someone give a shit what you think, write 'need stories to read' in the forums and trust me, people will ask you to read their stories!

I'll probably remember more things that anger me and add to this as my little vent sheet but I'm going to end it here for now lol

PS: I'm not talking about every review page on here, at all. It's only one or two and they've just been driving me MAD!
