All I ever wanted

Lucy's p.o.v

4/4 of One Direction plus El and I were hanging out in mine and Harry's hotel room just chilling. The boys were playing Fifa pretty loud and Eleanor and I were discussing her pregnancy when there was a knock on the door. ''I'll get it, Niall's probably ordered room service again'' I giggled and headed for the door. I flung the door open and my jaw just dropped. No other than my former best friend Tess Parker stood in front of me, giving me a half smile. Her hair was lighter and her skin was tanned. She looked just like a typical Cali girl, like the ones we used to make fun of. ''Who is it?'' I heard Harry yell from the couch and then I just panicked. ''Niall can not see you'' I clenched my jaw, suddenly pissed at this bitch. How can she just show up here after six months?
''Can I come in?'' Tess asked and I mentally face palmed, and by the sudden silence in the room I figured they heard her. Before I knew it both Niall and Harry came up to the door and I could just feel Niall tense from where he stood behind me. ''Hey Ni'' Tess smiled at him, ''I'm gonna..'' Niall mumbled and pressed himself past Tess and left. ''We'll go check on him'' Liam said and walked out with Lou and El following him. ''What are you doing here, Tess?'' I crossed my arms ''you don't think I'm not gonna show up when my best friend goes through something like this?'' she said sounding a little hurt, but I ignored it. This isn't about her. ''Okay, but where were you when Zayn left? Where were you when Sophia dumped Liam? Where were you the DAY Tyler died? Huh?'' Harry held my hand as I felt the tears stream down my face. ''You left, Tess. You weren't there for your friends when they needed you so why are you here now? Never mind, I'm gonna check on Niall'' I said and as the others I walked pass Tess and out in the hallway leaving Harry to deal with her. I tried to wipe away the tears before knocking on Niall's door but they just wouldn't stop falling. Liam opened the door and immediately pulled me in for a hug. He closed the door before hugging me tighter as I wet down his shirt with my tears. Niall sat on the couch playing Fifa, just like he did a couple of minutes ago in another hotel room. I sat down beside him and just looked at him, his face was tensed but softened when he paused the game to look at me. He didn't say anything he just pulled me in for a hug.

I had decided to put everything aside tonight and deal with it tomorrow. The boys were having a concert tonight and El and I were coming to watch it. It was just El and I left since the boys had left for rehearsals hours ago. I didn't ask Harry what he did with Tess because I didn't care, not today anyway. ''Can I wear this? Will people think I'm pregnant?'' Eleanor asked and showed me her outfit. She was barely showing so it didn't really matter. ''No it's perfect. Can I wear this? Or does it scream I'm depressed help me?'' I chuckled ''it does, get some color in your outfit and you're fine. Oh and you're not wearing Converse, get in some heels'' that's something I loved about Eleanor, she was always honest. Even if it could hurt you, but she only wanted what's best for you. ''This better?'' ''you look hot, let's go''.


The concert had started and Eleanor and I were standing beside the stage getting a great view of the boys. They were killing it but Niall seemed so off it worried me. Little Things started playing and I could just tell Niall was upset. It came to the part of his solo and his voice cracked. ''He's crying'' El said and I nodded. Liam stepped down a few steps on the little staircase they both were sitting on and checked if Niall was okay. My heart melted when he put his arm around Niall as they sang 'I'm here for you'. I looked at Harry who immediately made eye contact with me and smiled, I smiled back at him and blew him a kiss. Eleanor and I took a couple of fans who were stood front row before heading backstage when the concert ended.

''I need you to tell me what happened between the two of you'' I said when I walked in to Niall's dressing room. He was sitting on a couch just staring at nothing. I sat down beside him and put my hand on his, deciding to put aside my feelings regarding this whole thing and just listen to him. ''Niall I'm your best friend. I want to help you'' he just shook his head at me ''I don't wanna put my shit on you when you're going through a rough time'' he whispered. I grabbed his face forcing him to look at me ''just because I'm going through stuff doesn't mean the world stops for everyone else. Damn it Niall I care about you, please tell me what happened'' he blinked a few times before letting out a sigh and turned away. ''She cheated on me'' his voice cracked and I could see that he tried his best not to cry. I nodded slowly, cursing in my head at Tess. How could she do that to him? Sweet, innocent Niall. He deserved this the least. ''It was easier not to tell you guys about what happened since she left. I figured no one would ever know I was cheated on. Cause' how pathetic is that? Niall Horan got fucking cheated on. They say when you're famous you can have anyone you want, but it doesn't matter when the one you want don't want you back. I tried to suppress my feelings, I tried to forget her. That's when I met Steph. Steph was all about fun, there was nothing serious about her and that relationship didn't come with responsibility. I needed that to forget. And I did. I did so well, Luce. I was doing good, even when I dumped her. I was good. Until Tess showed up before. Every little thought and feeling just came crawling back when I saw her'' he wiped away a few tears ''do you still love her?'' I asked ''I think a part of me always will. But I'm just not over the fact that she hurt be so bad y'know?''.

Now you know a little more about what happened with Niall and Tess. In the next chapter Niall's anger will take over and he will confront Tess.

Btw this is the performance I was writing about. Obviously Zayn's in it, but not in my story so just try ignore that part :)
