Have you forgotten?

Rafaela's P.O.V.


It was around 3 pm and I and Zayn were bored to death.

„What shall we do now, Zayn?“, I whined from my spot on the couch, flipping through different TV channels.

„I got no idea. What do you want to do?“, he asked, resting his head in his palm. I stared over the tattoos over the back of his hand. If they were on another boy, they would look odd, but on Zayn they fit perfectly well. „What are you staring at, Love?“, he asked, snapping me out of my daydream.

„I was looking at your tattoos. They look very good.“, I said.

„Thanks.“, he said.

„Did it hurt a lot when you took them?“, I asked, now taking his hand in mine to examine the beautiful patterns over his skin. I heard his breath hitch for a second, so I looked up at him. His gaze was frozen over me. His lips slightly parted, heavy, but silent breaths escaping from them.

My hand lingered on his and my gaze met his. He looked like he was in another dimension and only his body was here. I got lost in his brown warm eyes and didn't feel him lean in until his free hand cupped my cheek. I didn't dare to move even though his lips were an inch apart from mine. He stayed there as if asking me for permission.

„Zayn, what are you doing?“, I heard my voice half whispering. His eyes came back to normal and he pulled away, turning his head in the opposite direction.

„I am very sorry, Rafaela.“, I heard him saying and then he caught his head in his hands.

„It's ok, Love. But you were about to make a mistake. You're engaged.“, I said and left the room.
