Have you forgotten?

A few hours later


Rafaela's P.O.V.


I was ready to go. Zayn had disappeared somewhere, leaving me alone in his house. I spotted a yellow sticky note over the living room coffee table. I took it in my hand and read it:

"Rafaela, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to ruin our friendship. I hope you can forgive me, I promise this won't happen again."

I turned it around in my hand and saw there written:

"P.S. I must be already at the party by the time you read this. I left with friends, so you could have my car for the night. XX Zayn"

I put the note in my pocket and looked at the clock. It was time for me to go. I took my purse and left.

I was at the party in no time. I was wearing a night red dress, black heels, matching purse and had my hair straightened. I had created a smoky eye shadow and deep red lipstick. When I entered the place, the music blasted through my ears into my whole body. I left the gift I had gotten for Harry on the table like all other guests and went to find someone I know.

I finally spotted Niall in the kitchen, eating a sandwich next to the fridge.

"Hello Ni, what's up?", I asked but he only stared at me, his mouth agape and still full of an unchewed bite of his sandwich. Maybe he didn't hear me from the too loud music.



Niall's P.O.V.


"Hello Niall, what's up?", I heard a beautiful female voice say. I looked away from my meal and followed the sound of the voice with my eyes. Then I froze. I couldn't even move a muscle, in fear that this might be a dream and she could disappear. I didn't even blink an eye. The world had stopped and I was in heaven. A hand touching my shoulder snapped me out of this trance. She was telling me something but I couldn't make it out because of the loud music.

"Sorry, love, it's too loud in here, let's go upstairs for a bit.", I said close to her ear and she nodded in agreement. I held her softly by her arm and led her through the crowd of famous actresses, singers and models. They were all looking captivatingly beautiful but none of them could compare to her.

"I asked where are the other boys.", she said after we got upstairs. The music was still loud but we could hear each other at least.

"Oh, Liam and Sophi will be a bit late, Zayn was here somewhere with Perrie, Louis and Eleanor are in the backyard and Harry went to say hi to Kendall. Since then I haven't seen him.", I said, noticing light hurt in her eyes. It disappeared after a moment.

"Well, Niall, do you want to dance?", she asked, taking my hand and dragging me down the stairs, not even waiting for me to answer. We mixed with the crowd and danced to the music, we were having our fun. Then "All about us" by He Is We started playing and she looked me in the eyes. I bowed down and extended my hand towards her.

"May I have this dance, Miss Diamonds?", I asked and she swiftly put her hand in mine and said "With pleasure, Mr. Horan." and in one gentle movement I pulled her body to mine. She widened her eyes, grinning. She put her hands on my shoulder and we started dancing. Her eyes showed this hurt feeling again. She was looking into space over my shoulder. When the dance turned me in her position, I saw the reason her eyes were like this. Harry was dancing with Kendall, in a very inappropriate way. His hands were too low down her waist. I thought he was in love with Rafaela, I guess not. But she is. She loves him more than she is showing.
