For What It's Worth
Summary
About 21 years ago Ruby Colette Sheeran was adopted out of a little foster home that was about to be torn down. She was only 4 months old when she was adopted by her sweet mother Imogen. Her mother told her that she heard crying coming from the inside of a decrepit orphanage that was due to be torn down the next week. She found this little bundle on the ground freezing to death with only a small little rag for warmth. Imogen looked into the most stunning blue eyes and they would glint a vibrant hint of red from an angle. She took the little one home and Ed was attached to the small girls side immediately. The family adopted her and gave her a name fitting for her looks and personality.
When Ruby turned 18 though she lost her brother when he became famous. He grew distant and wasn't home a lot. Ruby felt she lost a big part of her in the world, with little friends and not much to do. She became troubled and wasn't herself anymore.
When Ed returns home to check on his family long overdue after three years almost he comes home to find she no longer lives there and is having trouble keeping a stable life to support herself on. He brings some friends with him.
What happens when he sees how she is? How will he fix it? Will someone be able to fix broken Ruby after three long years of solitude and loneliness? Will she reject the help or yearn for it? Will she finally be fixed? Is she worth it???
* For clarification- I am aware that Ed has an older brother named Matthew. He will not be in this story sadly. Neither will he live in the same places or be famous at the same time he was in real life. Some details have been changed for story purposes*

(23) Ed has been busy the last three years with his fame. He was so busy he forgot about someone who played a big role in his life. What happens when he returns? "Eddie is that you?"
Jennette Cornwell (Jeenie)
Jeenie is Ruby's one and ONLY "friend". All Jeenie sticks around for is the parties, clothes and hot guys. Does she actually care for Ruby or would she feed her to the sharks in a moments notice? "C'mon Col! Let's go get us some hot ass guys. And some drinks."
One Direction
Big Boy Band that Ed became great friends with during the last three years. They're his mates and they'll be there for him through thick and thin. Trouble is... How thick can they stand?
