To Help Thy Directioners (Reviews and More)

Now I love Japan culture, I love manga, I love anime, I love drawing that way, and I learned a lot on how to do stories through that, which I later helped people with on hatena for the ds, which I wish would hurry up already!

Anyways, you HAVE to have a character that people like right away, with some flaw that they can fix over the story line. That's the main thing when it comes to mangas and animes, easy examples are Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, they all had to get past their weak points to move on in the story and be more loved than before.

A good example of someone doing great character development on this site, would have to be Niallsnandos with her story Why Won't You Catch Me? Her main character was depressed and had no real great traits to her, in all honesty I didn't really like her and found her to be annoying, but Niallsnandos wrote so well that she made the character grow on you. Later, *no spoilers so don't worry* she developed her character, she overcame most of her flaw and you ended up falling in love with the character.

That’s your main goal, your character can’t be such a huge loving character at first, they need their flaws and weak points so they can grow and develop throughout the entire story, making the reader connect better, because if they are just perfect without fixing anything; no one is going to connect to your character and no one will enjoy the story as much as they should.

You just need some point in your story, which is usually the climax of the story, in which your character realizes her/his issues or whatever it is and changes at that moment, hitting the climax ride of suspense for your readers.

Develop those characters, don’t leave them the same old same old throughout the entire story, let me say that will be boring!
