“Guys like you they just... They don’t fall for girls like me” she said after a moment of silence
“What do you mean girls like you?”

I cringed hearing her refer to herself like that.

Then she let me have it. She told me her whole life story about her abusive bipolar mother and being raped by her fathers best friend to dropping out of school to be with a boy who abused her then left her with nothing for a man. How she tried to commit suicide on more than one occasion and how music is the only thing that saved her life. I just wanted to hold her.
