Unexpected Nightmare

Harrys Pov

I tried to stay as focused as possible as we did our sound check but the problem was I had no idea where Cassie was and if she was alright. Her bandmate and best friend assured me that Cassie would call as soon as she returned. She figured she went to visit some of her family with her friend since they were in there hometown. I knew all of this could very well be true but still I felt like something was up.
Finally after 7hrs of worrying my phone lit up with her picture.
“Cassie where have you been I have been worried sick”
“Yeah sorry about that I was with a friend” she said very short and cold
“Oh well why haven’t I met this friend” I questioned concerned she was hiding something
“You know Harry you don’t need to know everything about me. You ever think I don’t want you to meet him. It really isn’t any of your business” There it was the side of her I hated. It was how she got when she was hurting. I only hoped that I wasn’t the one who hurt her.
“Cassie love what’s wrong”
“You are Harry. I gotta go I’m tired. Maybe I will call you later I don’t know yet”
Then the line went dead. No I love yous or miss yous like normal. Just cold Cassie. According to her I was the problem but what could I have done. Unless this guy was someone she had feelings for and I being her boyfriend left her unavailable. We always said that if we had felt something for someone else we would tell each other. None of this made sense yet everyone else thought I was overthinking and crazy and maybe they were right. So I decided to just forget about and hope that in time she would tell me what exactly was bothering her. For now I had to get ready for our 5th international tour that began in less than an hour.
“Hey Lou?” I asked my close friend and hair and makeup artist “Cass has been acting weird all day. She went out with this guy from back home and then when she called she was very rude and short with me. You being a girl and all what does that mean”
“Well she either likes this guy and you are in the way or she’s just got a lot on her plate right now and she took it out on you because she knows you can take it. Given how crazy about you she is go with the second. We all know there is no one else she wants to be with. So don’t stress.”
She was right beside a few minor arguments everything between the two of us was perfect. I knew that she got cranky sometimes so it never bothered me when she would snap at me. I should treat this no different. I smiled and went to meet the boys for our pre show ritual.
