Unexpected Nightmare

Harry’s Pov
Have you ever thought to yourself that maybe if I just show up things will be different? I knew she was acting weird and I thought well maybe if I just showed up she would be so happy that she would just forget whatever she was battling with. So that’s what I did. After two weeks of not hearing from her and I will admit countless nights crying over it I decided that for our first couple travel days I would go see her. I packed light because it was only 3 days and hopped on a plain to Chicago. Kinda of fitting seeing as that is where I surprised her the first time and made her mine.
When I got there I ran into Melanie. Usually she was more than happy to see me. With her and Liam being together the four of us spent a lot of time together. This time though she was as shocked as ever.
“Hazz I don’t think this is such a great Idea”
“She is my girlfriend. I am sure she will be more than happy to see me.”
“No please. For your own good do not go up there. She wants to be left alone”
A knot formed in my stomach and I felt my heart drop.
“Why not Melanie” I questioned not sure if I even wanted to know the answer
“She is with someone”
My knees buckled but I still stood strong. “She is with someone” the words rang over and over in my head. I found my courage and walked upstairs to her dressing room anyway. I just walked in not bothering to knock. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting to see but I knew this wasn’t it. The man before me had to be at least in his late 30’s. He was clean cut with eyes as green as mine. His brown short buzz cut had patches of grey. He was what I imagined her type was like before she met me. But I also remembered what she said about older guys always seemed to destroy her. He was very handsome and I suddenly felt self-conscious. He was built more that I was and had a gold necklace with a pair of boxing gloves. While a boxer myself I had no chance in hell of taking him. There he stood in nothing but a towel and no sight of Cassie anywhere.
“So the elusive boyfriend finally makes an appearance.” He said raising a drink to his lips and there on his finger was a wedding ring.
“Who are you?” I asked trying to hide the fact that I was trembling.
“Name is Kyle. I am Well I am a friend of Cassie’s let’s just leave it at that”
“Where is she?” I only wanted short and simple answers but this guy looked like he was having too much fun for that
“Oh she is just getting out of the shower she will be out in a sec”
As if on cue she emerged fully dressed (Thank god) drying her hair.
“Kyle I think it’s time we...” she stopped mid-sentence as she saw me “Harry” She squealed her face lighting up and running to my arms. I wanted so bad to hold her to kiss her but my heart was beyond broken. When I didn’t return her hug she stepped back realizing what I had just walked in on.
