I met Liam before school, I spent the whole morning mentally preparing myself for today.

"Look we don't need to tell anyone" Liam shrugged.

"That's not fair, it will calm down eventually" I tried to reassure him.

"But at least give it time for Harry to move on?" he asked.

The thought of Harry moving on pained me and I know it shouldn't.

"I suppose, so you want to keep us a secret?" I asked hurt.

"No I don't, but Harry is my best friend I can't hurt him" he frowned.

I nodded "Okay".

He kissed me before we got out of the car, I avoided the stares by walking straight into school with Liam behind me.

"This is stupid" I said agitated. "Now we can't be seen together? Last time everyone checked we were friends?" I asked.

"I'm sorry I've never been in a situation like this before".

I sighed "I'll see you later" I waved at him before walking off to class.

I had Miss Levi first lesson, I sat in my normal seat quietly getting on with my work. Miss Levi commented on my behavior a few times saying I was like a 'new person' whatever that means. I watched Harry flirt with pretty much every girl, is he doing that deliberately? I tried my best to ignore it, I made myself busy so there was no chance of our eyes accidentally meeting.

"Kate can I speak to you" Miss Levi asked aloud.

"Sure" I said bluntly.

"What is going on with you?" she asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You're acting strange" she shrugged.

"I thought you'd be pleased, I'm getting on with my work that's all" I tried to make her go away.

"I am pleased something doesn't seem right, oh well never mind" she gave me a slight smile before walking off. Since when did she care about my work?

"Harry stop it" Ashley shrieked making it clear to everyone in the room.

I rolled my eyes how can someone be so desperate for attention? I looked at her in disgust, so pathetic.

"Have you got a problem?" she looked at me coldly.

"No problem, just observing" I smiled.

"Well if you take a picture it lasts longer" she mocked.

"Wow Ash, are we in year 7 again?" I joked.

"You think you're funny but you're not" she said spitefully.

"Oh I know I'm funny, I don't need some Barbie telling me different" I smiled.

"You're just jealous I actually look like one, whereas you..." she looked me up and down. "I don't even know what you look like" she said appalled.

"That's enough" Harry whispered to her.

"You're still defending her? After everything she's done to you" she laughed.

"She hasn't done anything" he shrugged whilst looking at me apologetically.

"Yeah right that's why I caught her sneaking a kiss off Liam this morning" she rolled her eyes.

I froze stunned, what a fucking bitch. He looked at me sadness filled his eyes along with anger. Our eyes locked on one another's until we were interrupted by Miss Levi.

"Don't distract Kate she's been doing good this lesson" she ordered.

I withdrew my eyes from his and stared down at a blank piece of paper in front of me. I continued this until the lesson ended. After lesson Harry pulled me aside.

"So how long has this been going on?" he asked disgusted.

"It's none of your business" I said coldly.

He laughed "Was this your plan all along use me to get close to him?"

"You really are full of shit, if you honestly think that then you don't know me" I half shouted.

"Maybe I don't" he said bluntly.

"You know what, you had your chance Harry. You are the one who ended things remember? You are the one who stopped us at the park, you are the one who doesn't want us to be together, what the fuck do you want from me?" I spat through my teeth.

"Absolutely nothing" he said coldly.

A lump formed in my throat, I nodded before storming past him.

"Wait" he called after me.

"Fuck you" I said faintly before disappearing from his view.

I found Liam in the hallway I didn't care about anyone at that moment, I dropped my bags on the floor and wrapped my arms around him kissing him on the lips. He returned the kiss tightening his grip around me. I heard gasps, whispers, nasty comments from all around me and I didn't care.

"I thought we were keeping it secret?" he asked pulling away.

"I guess I don't care anymore, let people think what they want I'm not hiding anything" I said confidently.

At that moment Harry decided to push past us making us clear of his presence, I rolled my eyes at his attempt to be dramatic.

"I should talk to him" Liam looked over at him.

"I think you should leave him to calm down" I said.

"Yeah okay" he smiled. "I have to go I'll see you later" he kissed me before walking in the opposite direction to Harry.

I noticed Louise looking at me in shock, oh shit. I tried to smile at her, I watched tears fill her eyes before running off. I ran after her into the girls bathroom.

"Louise?" I asked.

"Go away" she shouted.

"It's not what you think" I pleaded.

"So you and Liam aren't together?"

"Okay it is what you think, Liam and I are complicated".

"You have Harry why do you need him too, is one not enough?" she said coldly.

"Louise don't act like you know about my life. There is nothing going on with Harry and me, I like Liam" I said.

"You can't just pick and choose whenever you feel like it, people have feelings" she whined.

I huffed "I know, but you don't know the full story Lou".

"Only friends have the right to call me that" she glared at me before walking out the bathroom.
I kicked the bin over in frustration. Why do I feel the need to constantly make everyone feel like shit? I have brought this on myself. I heard shouting in the hall way, I opened the door a little bit so I could see who it was. I saw Harry shouting at his phone.

"You are not allowed in my life, you are not allowed anywhere near me" he shouted. "I don't give a fucking shit, I hate you" he spat through his teeth. "I hope you rot in hell" he roared before cutting whoever it was off.

I wanted to go check on him see if he's alright, but I know he will shut me away. We aren't exactly on good terms at the moment. I closed the door and sunk to the floor, I prepared myself for the rest of the day and decided to pull myself together get up off the floor.

I endured the rest of the day with great difficulty, but I survived and that's the main thing. I kept my distance from everyone even Liam. He sat with the rest of One Direction at lunch, I sat by myself on a table where no-one bothered to notice. Liam called me a few times but I ignored them. A few minutes left of lunch Liam spotted me, he looked at me confused before approaching me.

"You okay?" he frowned.

As much as I tried to hold it together I finally broke. I burst into tears, he sat down and pulled me close to him. I hugged him tightly not allowing anyone to see my face. I finally lifted my head so I could look at him. He moved my hair away from my face with his hand.

"I don't think I can do this" I said.

"Yes you can, you are the strongest person I have ever met" he said with confidence.

"It's just an act Liam" I frowned.

He shook his head "No one can pretend that, not even you" he smiled. "Come on" he stood up holding out his hand.

I placed my hand in his as we walked together through the school. He took me back to his afterwards, we lay on his bed in silence, he held me close to him as I leant my head on his body.
