Let's Pretend It's Love - Comments, page 4
@CrumpetsAndTea
You're welcome! I really hope you are able to update soon. I can't stand Pres and Harry to be in bad terms. :(
@MelissaStylesInStyle
Ah yes, I agree with everything you've said. Presley's made a big mess of things. Let's hope she fixes them. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
Oh, me feels! This was so sad. I definitely understand Jessa and I can't say I wouldn't react the same way. Really it is Presley's fault because she riled her up about approaching Harry damn well knowing that she was "playing house" with him.
The Harry part, though... Geez. Pres really fucked up. She is so stubborn and needs to realize that she loves Harry back. Especially before he moves on. I mean, he has put up with so many of her rejections he's bound to get tired.

I've always strived to stay our of friendship dramas. They can get super tricky. Harry is always super genuine but Presley's got a lot to work out for herself. I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks so much for always reading and reviewing!!
Friendship dramas... I've been witness to many of these but never experienced one on this scale myself. I think both Presley and Jessa could've handled things better, they were both in the wrong but hopefully, things will come around better soon. As for Harry, I know he's telling the truth and Presley's just afraid of love. That's how I see it anyway, I could be wrong. It's great to see an update though and I thoroughly enjoyed it :) Good luck with writing your term paper xx
I've had this story bookmarked for a while now but due to the amount of stories I read, I hadn't had a chance to start it. Oh boy do I not regret starting this yesterday. I'm completely in love with this story. Everything about Harry is so perfect and I'm so anxious to know what happens.
@ELS1206
Thank you and I couldn't agree more!
Harry put for way too much of himself for Presley to think he's just playing with her feelings. The tables have turned and now she's confused. Harry's probably thinking it's best if he takes a step back to give Presley time to think about things. We shall see how things pan out between Jessa and Presley. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!!
Loved the update, and I completely agree with some of the other comments.
I think that Presley definitely has feelings for Harry, and she was hurt and upset when he didn't call or go running back to her. However; I think his feelings are entirely genuine and he doesn't want to give up on the idea of their relationship just yet, but is hoping that she will come to her senses.
I'm hoping that Jess and Presley will be able to work it out. It will take time and working together will definitely be awkward.
@mellifluousvibes
First can I say that I love you so much for this review? I have read it at least a million times and it's honestly the best thing that's happened to me all day!
Don't you just love that grand, glorious moments in romantic comedies in which something causes the heroine to break down, have a huge epiphany and finally come to her senses and realize just how madly in love she is with the lead guy? Well, this is probably part one of that massive epiphany for Presley. The Proposal is such a good movie by the way. Lol! Petunia? Did I have a typo somewhere??
Are you hiding inside my brain because you pretty much just perfectly analyzed everything the way I intended it to be perceived. Harry's gotten wind of Presley's little games and the ball is no longer in her court, it's in his now, which has Presley a bit confused. You're right, her defensiveness gives herself away a bit showing that she cares at least an ounce. I mean why else would she be so upset with Harry and assume he was only using her as a booty-call? Just admit it Presley, you care.
I don't know about you but I'm kind of proud of my little bub Harry for at least waking up and smelling the coffee. From the very beginning everything has been unfairly one-sided and it's time for Harry to step back and Presley to step up if she really wants him.
We shall find out what's in the black box ;)
Lol! "equivalent to bathing in the waters of hell" I'm going to have to use that one sometime. But honestly, the struggle just got real for Presley at work. I have throughly enjoyed reading your review and hearing your ideas! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!!
Mother of God. I guess it was about time that Jessa found out...but, dear lord, she owns the shop that Presley works at and everything. I'm just praying that this point in the story is like in The Proposal, where all hell breaks loose, and Sandra Bullock (Presley) finally reveals the truth, only for the grandma's words of wisdom (Petunia or their dad, probably) to let her realize just how in love with....the other main character (Harry)....she is. Now, for the Q&A:
2. I think she already developed feelings, but as the past chapters have shown, she isn't ready to face them. As for her other feelings, Presley may be angry because she got used to-for a lack of better words-fucking with Harry's emotions, and having him always be the one to come back. Now, since the tables are turned, she begins to suspect other motives for his actions.
3. Lovely pun xD But like I said above, I suspect that she already cares-if her defensive nature throughout the book hasnt shown that yet. If anything, the sex just makes her more aware of her actions.
4. I feel like Harry is finally realizing the distinct pattern, where he's always the one to put in the actual effort for their relationship. The fact that she left in the morning only worked to cement that in his mind. However, I wouldn't say that he's fed up-it's more like he's tired of putting so much in, only for her to pull away and hurt him that much more.
5. Oooooh, that black box *smirk* I honestly have no idea-but it'll 5000000% probably be something that's so sentimental it will make both Presley and all the readers cry in anguish (including me *tear*)
6. I see much pain and anger in the future. Work is going to be the equivalent of bathing in the waters of hell. Hopefully, though, they'll be able to sort it out before the book ends. I already have a few theories of where it could go :)
Presley definitely could have handled the situation differently. Especially since she knew how Jessa felt about Harry. Probably should have talked to her about it a long time ago. Maybe it would have been easier on Jessa if she heard it from Presley directly rather than having to see them together.
I think Jessa did act a little harsh when she fired Presley. I know they are friends, but not the most professional thing to do when she's trying to run a business. Obviously they are angry, but it doesn't really seem like a good enough reason to fire her.
The fact that she was upset with Jess probably played a role in how she acted towards Harry. Hopefully she realizes her mistake. Not sure how she can say no when Harry's standing in front of her saying that he wants to love her. I think he will be back. Still don't think he's ready to give up on her completely.
