Dreaming Of You // If I'm Still Dreaming - Comments, page 46
God! What an ending! Ijm on the edge between dream and reality in this one. It was just so Jeanne but one can argue that Harry's affections for her may have played an important factor in capturing Jeanne's personality if it did end up as a dream after all. Harry, in my opinion, is walking a fine line between 'crazy in love' and 'dangerously in love' and Jeanne on the otherhand is playing her cards between 'enigmatic temptress' and 'aloof player'. They are both right in the middle of two extremes and I fear that it will be sooner rather than later that they will tip the edge and harm each other in a more permanent sense. Cute Niall is always a plus, I have always thought that between the 5 of them, Niall has that boyish charm that has the potential to be interpreted as adorable or alluring. Can't wait on the Louis bit you have in the works, I'm having a very hard time having a read on him to be honest. I can sense his loyalty and love for El but every time it comes up there is also that noticeable interest in Jeanne that might or might not be more than a friend helping another friend to get a girl. Louis is a bit too invested on Jeanne but his affections are unmistakeable which makes it a bit of a difficulty to see just what is going on in his mind and what it is he is planning.
As for books, you know Doctor Zhivago? That's a pleasant surprise! I am a part of a Lit Club way back when and majority of my friends are bookworms as well but it is rare for me to meet someone who knows and has read a work by Boris Pasternak. In my experience there will be that one book that you love to read again and again,just to feel the emotions once more and Pasternak accomplished that with his writing. Have you ever read something that you acknowledge is a good book but at the same time dislike it as well? I got that feeling with Wuthering Heights. What was the first book you ever read? I can't remember if The Little Prince or How To Kill A Mockingbird was my first. What is your take on mainstream modern literature? Quite frankly, the last book I have read and quite enjoyed that fits that genre is the Harry Potter series . As for the puppy, I'm getting there, I have raken some of the resppnsibilities in taking care of Wolfram and it helps that he actually likes my company. I'm still not over that fear yet but I'm pretty sure I will get past it soon.
Can't wait for what you have in store for us in that unexpected chapter! Excited to read more from you soon!
Ug, you always leave me wanting more! I can for sure see t being a dream, but also Louis pulling a stunt and letting Jeanne into Harry's room. Maybe it was her way of sayin goodbye...hopefully not.
Poor Niall, I think he tries to be helpful but he can be quite clueless, I could see their "conference" with Zayn as the mediator.
As always, LOVE IT!
Ah, Harry is such a mess! Nice to see him struggle.
But I really, really don't want to think that was a dream! I never dreamed so realistically and detailed so it just has to be true. Right? D: Basically Harry just has to smell the sheets to find out :D
Will you be able to update the next couple of weeks? (The question which I've been dreading to ask for weeks because I'm afraid of the answer)
Anyways, things are getting tensed up and the big bang can't be too far. Ever since chapter 51 my happy dances have more or less become outburst of screaming in a high pitched voice through the flat. Roomies hate me.
Thank you so much for making this happen, there's not much in this world that makes me turn into a sobbing teenager and I love every second of it <3 xxx
@Love_Life
Well, writer's block happens, and personally I never manage it the same way. Sometimes I need to get away from the story, other times I need a bit of Tumblr ;) You know I'm with you a hundred percent, dear :) I'll be patiently waiting! Loved your new story!!! <3 xx
@not_any_maryjane
In glad you got your problems solved. And yeah, I don't know… I keep trying to update… I have for Keeping Isabelle and Just Peachy [a new story of mine] so many times. I've been debating if I should take a break or not. I can't seem to sort out any ideas… writers block, eh? Fun.
@Love_Life
Oh, babe, thanks to you to for everything, especially for every minute invested in this story. You need to keep on writing. I'm waiting on your updates, you know? I'm already subscribed to that story even though I haven't found the time to read it. We had an incident together with someone who stole our stories and put it in Movellas, solved now :D Thank you for your suggestion. I love you, boo! <3 xx
@not_any_maryjane
Not even writing and you're literate. [I don't know if I used that correctly.] Thank you for writing, I absolutely adore the story.
Stockholm Syndrome (a link to a story I'm sure you'll love as much as I do)
@EleanorRigby
Well, I bet you remember what Pat told him about them. They're pretty much the same ;) I do work a lot and I'm so excited for you to get to see the whole picture together. My heart literally bursts in anticipation xD I think I'll hide for a week! <3 xx
@TheTroubledNeophyte
Well, there's a no-quote in 'Pride And Prejudice' film, "We all are fools in love." Yes, he is a fool, she is a fool, no one is intended to be perfect because even the most wonderful people have flaws and do wrong sometimes. Harry is struggling with himself, Jeanne is, well, Jeanne is Jeanne, and they make mistakes, and then try to mend it and so on. Story of life :D We'll get to see Jeanne in all her humanity, because she has one, at its proper time. We talked about this moment a while ago. This is what I had in mind back then. It wasn't meant to be conventional because their bond is far from conventional, so Jeanne meeting everyone was going to be bumpy. Let's see how things evolve from now on. The issue between Louis and Jeanne will be addressed soon enough, but before we have a few more important things to tell [wiggling eyebrows.]
And as for my favourite novel, I have two, and then two more. 'In Search Of Lost Time' and 'Doctor Zhivago,' as you well know, mentioned in this story and quite important to the plot. And then tightly followed by 'Anna Karenina' and 'Pride And Prejudice.' My favourite novel when I was 17 was 'The Sorrows Of Young Werther,' by Goethe, also influencing this story. This is the only thing Jeanne got from me, bookish girl. It doesn't surprise me than the readers of this story are mostly bookish girls too :D I love 'Les Miserables' so much, as having part of my childhood in Paris. Kids get to read it very early there, even before than 'Don Quixote' in Spain. It's part of the French way of thinking :)
I'm so glad to have you as a reader and as a friend, dear. Thank you for your support. You help me think a lot, and that helps me with my writing. This is so much work, almost 60 chapters of a twisted story. So thank you, again, for reading it and for your enthusiasm too. You have to update your story! I want to read more. And open up that giant heart you have to that puppy! <3 xx
@Love_Life
Thank you, babe! It was pretty rough on Harry, I know. I've been spoiling him too much, now I feed him to the wolves xD Almost mandatory!
Thank you for being so lovely and sticking with me for so, so long, dear. It means the world to me! Love you, babe <3 xx
@Morgan_Who
Yes! Harry and his short temper! xD Poor guy! He was so surprised and confused it was impossible for him to react in any other way. The next chapters are going to be a wild ride for him, but maybe he'll get to learn a thing or two out of it ;)
Thanks to you for being so amazing, my dear! You've been by my side and commented in every single chapter so I think I'm lost for words to express my gratitude! Stay lovely, my dear! Lots of love to you <3 xx
@xRockMex
This story is going to twist and turn so much before the end you won't practically remember the 'just friend' ;) It has definitely more to do about Jeanne deflecting Harry's advances under inappropriate circumstances. The guy is so besotted he doesn't seem able to realise there's a whole world around them... Thank you for trusting my judgement in this. As a reader I know who tempting is to think we know better than the author. I hope when the end comes you could get to say 'this was the only way possible.' If you don't, it'll be my bad.
Thank you for being so caring and for your constant support. You make me work harder, and you know, you gave me one key to the end, so, you are part of this story for eternity :) Oh, my God, I'm so overwhelmed by everything! Hope everything turned out OK today ;) Lots of love, my dear <3 xx
@not_any_maryjane
That cat incarnates me reading this whole story :D
Jeanne is everything that Harry ever was. Maybe he sees how it was for those girls in his past when he told them he didn't do relationships or broke up with them after a few months. But I still feel his hurt somehow :D Perhaps because I get Jeanne as little as he does. I don't know.
But I'm definitely excited for the answers the next chapters hold... Even if there are new questions coming up.
I appreciate your work and have lots of respect for you. Not only for being the creative genius you are but also for having the power to finish this until the bitter ending. You deserve every single vote and subscriber to this story and even more! xxx
@EleanorRigby
Come on, you can't be serious! Team Harry again, and right now? We need to fix your dose of sweets, babe xD The topic of the house... Yes, it will come up quite soon. But let me tell you. He went there at his own risk, knowing she didn't do relationships :P Of course, the guy thinks so highly of himself he thinks he can make any girl fall for him and change everything, well, yeah, maybe not ;D I bet I got you nervous!
Thank you, my dear, for being so loving, caring and clever! This with you had become complete. This story wouldn't be the same without you. I told you, you make me work even harder ;) I promise next chapter is going to be surreal as you have never read before. Bring on the cat! <3 xx
@KAOT
Yes, the realisation that she was there was extreme for him, and put him between a rock and a hard place, and then everything that happened after that was the cherry on the top. Next chapter is going to be surreal xD I love your theory and it surprise a bit me because I thought you were on Team Eleanor, thinking Jeanne is a man-eater! Did I got it wrong or did you change your mind? Because @EleanorRigby comes and goes as she's so random––love you, babe!
Thank you for being so supportive, my dear. It means a lot coming from you, because you are such an amazing, bold writer! <3 xx
@afriendofjenny
My dear friend! I remember well that message you sent me once telling me something like 'I wonder what is Louis' role on this story.' You've been mistrusting him for so long, and now this! When things get messy, Harry automatically starts to resent him... Aren't we being unfair to him? Explanations and everything will come very soon.
Thank you for being there for so long. You have helped me a lot with this story even if you don't get to see it :) I wish you could be able to write your story calmly and to get more updates, but I know it gets difficult sometimes. You write beautifully because you have a beautiful soul <3 xx Thank you for everything <3 xx
@softballchick79
Yeah, a lot of frustration on this chapter. But from where I've been developing the character, in love, yes, but a bit obsessed too, it was impossible for him to react in any other way, although they were in public and he behaved quite well for his angriness. And Jeanne doesn't enjoy to be patronised... So it was a recipe for disaster xD People freak out too much when mess arrives but they don't enjoy bed of roses either so, it was time. They have issues. You are Team Jeanne! Pull yourself together! This is the war of genders! :P
Thank you for being there for me, my friend. I appreciate it very much because you know you mean a lot to me. You are amazing in every sense! xx
This chapter reminded me of this thing I read : "People tend to do stupid things when they are in love". I liked the fact that Jeanne verbally admitted that she was in the wrong it sort of balanced the two of rhem in a way that she is not totally perfect like Harry portrays her as but she also has.those flaws that might hinder their budding relationship. Harry also showed thar Jeanne is right, he IS young and he has to mature a bit and not growl like an intimidated puppy whenever he thinks that someone is enroaching on his territory. I'm a bit curious about Louis' and Jeanne's interaction though, will that be touched in the next chapter?Niall and Jeanne finally met! And I agree that chin of Niall's is one of his most attractive facial features.
As for the puppy, I'm trying to spend time with the little guy but I'm still not there yet, my fear still gets the better of me. It is nice to know that you are a big reader yourself! I love Don Quixote because I had the chance to look through the eyes of an unconventional lead with unconventional views of his surroundings. What is your favourite novel? Mine varies from time to time but one that always comes up is Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, I find the character growth in that novel to be one of the best ever wrtiiten by man. Eponine's and Jean's character development is not to be scoffed at. I'm glad you mentioned some fics in your story since it expanded my reading! Thanks for that! :-)
Left hangin' again.....
and yes, we all know you, the moment we believe it was real, he'll know it was a dream....
love it!
