I have a plan. We should research through all of the good ole stories from back in the day and try to find the authors somewhere on the internet where they are active. Then, we need to message them and tell them about all of the distruction that has been done to this site. Hopefully they'll come back. Lol this is crazy but we could try
This is the site where i started. I still look back and come here but i'm very active on Wattpad lately. But i think it's sad that like nobody comes here anymore. It used to be so much fun! A lot of people, writers and readers. I really miss it. It once was like a really tight family and now like a few persons in a town left. That's what it feels like. I really miss it... x
Ha ya'll should see the bring me the horizon site. There's hardly any activity there. When I updated Love Bites there the other day (Friday maybe?) it stayed in the front page till last night since nobody updates. It's pretty tragic compared to this.

OmiGod it's so dead lol I mean the black veil brides site is way more active (but since I grew out of them I don't spend a lot of time there) but BMTH is all but dead. I think 1D is just going through a slow phase :P it happens with any site.
I agree with all of this. Especially with the people getting younger and younger. Like, damn. You can tell some of them are new to the fandom, because they're just so...innocent. I mean, it's almost like you lose your innocence when you enter this fandom because you start growing with the band. And I can't tell you how many girls my age sing 1Ds "sexual" songs without even knowing what the words mean! Like, for fucks sake, I joined this fandom to get away from you and you just follow me and act like you know what's going on. Then judge me. Thank you.
And fan fictions? Don't even get me started. We're back to the cliches again, and the grammar and punctuation is absolute shit in 90% of stories. It's makes me think, "Have you ever read any actual book?" I mean, I understand if English ain't your first language and you mess up (I took Frech so I understand how hard it is), but if you were born and raised in a country where English is spoken and/or its first language in your house, here's my plea to you.
"PLEASE GO BUY A DICTIONARY!"
Like, seriously? If these fanfic swerve food sources, we'd be dead within a month.
Rant over. Conclusion: Some people need to buy a dictionary, grow the fuck up and start coming up with better ideas because your really starting to piss me off.

Agreed! I left because the grammar and construct of people's stories on here as a majority were dragging me down (no pun intended!)
I just don't understand how anyone can benefit as a writer when:
a) most stories that are well written don't get a look at or any kind of comment/push to continue &
b) half the stuff on here is just recycled garbage.

He'll half the stories I've started were done just so I could say "I can do that and I can do that BETTER". Which is why I have the cliche vampire fic and high school au and two band fics.
The grammar ruins a lot but sometimes people not knowing their shit and bull shitting stuff makes it just as bad. As someone who smokes weed, parties, and has depression I can tell you 98% of fics talking about it don't even portray any of that accurately . It's retarded. A lot of authors act like you can go to a house party in stripper heels, slit your wrists in the bathroom, and everything will be okay after you retch and pass out which is nowhere close to what it's like in real life .-.
We need to find a way to hack into the website and just get rid of all the stupid ass stories and try to rebuilt this nation to how it was before the newbies.
