I'm here - silently reading as usual.
To be honest with you; the quality of writing around here as gone downhill unbelievably and unfortunately I think that's aided in the cease of many writers and users coming back :(

That's true. The quality of the writing on here has gone to shit. So bland with overused plots. That's one of the reasons why I write on other writing websites as well. Maybe new writers who join the website and flip it around and make it a better community.

I'm still around.......but not as much. It just feels like this community has died. The writing is all the same or its all like u now like this which u now is unbearible 2 read. (that was purposefully bad) At this point when I post things I post them on here and on 1DFF.com because that's still a pretty strong community (I haven't gotten much out of wattpad) I'm trying to keep this alive but it's just kind of dying. (plus the crowd on this site is getting younger and younger and younger)

Yeah, I totally agree with you. It's dying down. And the crowd is getting younger and younger, filled with unbearable writing that makes me cringe.
It's kind of sad. There were so, so many talented writers and amazing concepts on here and now I can barely go through a page of stories without cringing. Both you and @broadway.bound have written some absolutely amazing work @One Direction 1O1 please don't give up. I swear; write and people will read xo

Thank you, babes. I appreciate it. And it's true; there's a lot of cringe worthy stories on here. I hope the site will pick itsself up and become what it used to be again. By the way, love the username and profile pic; Harley Quinn is my fav female villain, and DC comic book character! She's awesome!

thank you! i was tossing up between her and catwoman. i have a guilty pleasure for any form of female villain.
ITS DEAD! Last week it was alive, but now.. its dead. This morning I logged on to check my alerts. I looked at the recent updated stories.. and it was the same ones from like two days ago. Well all I can say is that either a lot of people are enjoying their summer (or their school; depending on their location in the world) or everyone's just dissappeared!

Haha yes, I agree with you. I bet people have just disappeared, because I'm able to have an incredible summer while still writing and reading. But also maybe because of school. Idk. I just wish people were more active on here.
OMG I could not agree more. This place hasn't had any good stories since early last year. I remember all of the old stories and how everyone connected and the writing was incredible. I guess now those amazing authors have gotten older and moved on so all the stories you see now are from a few people that have millions of stories. And they suck. Sometimes I wish we could all go back to 2012 when the fandom was alive. Rip fanfic
I should also add that most of the plots are about getting adopted or being bffls with one direction or 5sos and then falling in love with all of them. If anyone could be as good as Talk Durty To Me or Stay With Me then maybe this place could turn around.
Agreed. Most of the themes and plots are the same thing just reguritated and spat back out in the same way the author before had created.

I agree. Fanfiction just isn't what it used to be anymore. It's hard to find good fanfics out there now of days.
Am I the only one that feels like this website has turned into a ghost town? I just feel like hardly anyone gets on here anyone, reads new stories, writes new stories, chats and makes new friends. I remember when I first came onto this website a while back, it was so friendly and lively. I know there is awesome people on here that keep the website active, but most have disappeared in my eyes.
