Chapter one

Niall's Point of View

We sit side by side on the seats of the Ellen DeGeneres show, laughing at an inappropriate joke shared between us boys and Ellen.

Once we've finally controlled ourselves, Ellen begins to ask us questions about our love life; What Fun.

"So boys, the fans always like a love update. Is everyone here single?" We all reply with a simple yes and she turns to look at the camera,"Girls, I think you know what that means." She winks, laughing then turning back to us.

"But, No, seriously guys. I think we'd all like to know what each of you like in a girl but we only have time for one. Any volunteers?" We exchange glances but no one steps up."I guess i'll just choose the one that's been single the longest; Niall?"

My heart stops. What could she possibly ask me?

"Niall, are you currently crushing on anyone?"

Yes.

"No." I reply with a simple smile. She nods, returning the smile.

"Well that's all for this week, folks. Tune in next week for my guest Bruno Mars who will also be performing Treasure!" The crowd cheers,"One more time for One Direction!" Screams from everyone are thrown at us boys.

We thank Ellen for having us and return to our van. I sigh as I take the window seat with Harry and Zayn beside me, while Liam and Louis sit behind us.

"You alright,mate?" Harry asks as Zayn shuts the door beside him.

I shake my head,"No."

"I'm sure one day you'll be able to say you're together."

"I'm not even allowed to say I have a bloody crush on 'er. What if we end up dating? Nothing will change. I will have to lie to every person that asks me."

"I'll tell you what. When we get inside the house, we'll call her. Sound good?" He asks.

I smile,"Yeah. Thanks,Harry."

"Anything for one of my only brothers." He grins, patting my back.

Jennifer's Point of View

"Would you shut up?" I ask Andria who's whispering something to Deliah beside her.

"Oh my God! Don't do it!" My Best friend Lydia screams at the television from beside me.

Let me explain what's going on. I'm having a sleepover with my closest friends and we're currently trying to watch 'The perks of being a Wallflower'. Yes, Trying. Andria and Deliah won't stop talking; Most likely something about Dylan.

Dylan: The complete definition of a douche. But for some unknown reason almost all the girls in my year are melting over how 'perfect' he is. Not a fan, and never will be.

I hear my phone ring from my bedside table and pause the movie, getting up to see who would be calling at ten o'clock at night.

"Hello?" I answer, Everyone's eyes trained on me.

"Um....,"

"Hello?" I say again, the phone pressed against my ear.

I hear two beeps, signaling the call ending and my phone locked. I placed it back on the bedside table, turning it off.

I take my place back between Lydia and Andria, accidentally stepping on the back of Lydia's calf. "Sorry!" I apologise pushing the play button on the remote.

"Who was it?" Amber asks from beside Lydia.

"I don't know. Second time they've called, and then hung up without saying a word." I sigh, pulling out my ipad.

"Who 'd you think it was?"

"Who could it be?" I ask, as if I give everyone in my school my number. Aha, No.

"It could've been Dylan!" Deliah suggests.

"Enough about Dylan!" I say throwing my pillow, landing it perfectly amongst her face.

She frowns,"How do you know though?"

I shrug,"I don't, " A smirk makes its way onto my face as I pop a handful of popcorn in my mouth.

I guess we aren't those popular girls who pile their face with makeup and date the most popular guys in school, or the ones who don't get noticed at all and spend all their time studying. I guess we're in between the two; In-betweeners. Trust me, I can't last more than 20 minutes of studying. I mean, don't get me wrong my grades are good . Sometimes teachers just give us too much work and not enough us time.

"Anybody tired?" I ask. Everyone replies with a lively 'no'.

"I think I know what we can do." Andria says with a smug look on her face.

Dear god.
