Chapter 20: On a mission
Harry’s POV
“You do?!” Louis looked a little more surprised than I thought he would be.
“Yea…” I nodded slowly.
“That’s great!” he wrapped his arms around me and I heard him laugh to himself. “I’m happy for you.”
“Thanks. I really need your help finding the perfect engagement ring for her.” I smiled at him as we let go of each other.
“Okay! That’s our mission while we’re up here.” Louis was the most enthusiastic person I’ve ever met, especially when it came to his friends.
“Thank you Louis and keep it to yourself, I haven't told anyone else yet but I will tonight.” I looked around the store and saw that Sage was hanging out with Zayn across the store.
“Okay, I know how to keep quiet.” Louis pretended to zip his lips and throw away the key.
Something touched my butt so I jumped and turned around to see Sage with a smile on her face and her hand in my back pocket. I smiled down at her and lifted my arm to put it around her body, pulling her closer. I looked up at Louis and saw him smile at her and then wink at me.
“Hey Harry, I bought you something.” Niall jogged over with a small brown bag, the kind you get when you buy something. “Here”
He handed the little back to me and stared at me until I opened it. There was a vintage pair of sunglasses; they were brown and black and perfect. I slipped them on my face and pulled out my phone so I could see my reflection.
“I love them!” I shouted letting go of Sage so I could hug him. “They're perfect! Thank you.”
“You're welcome.” He laughed patting my back as we let go of each other.
“Can we go to the beach now?” Zayn asked standing next to Louis.
“Sure.” We all walked outside and to the car.
Sage’s POV
As soon as I could, I got out of the car and opened the trunk. Liam reached for a bag of clothes that was in the trunk. He slipped his shirt off while I leaned against the trunk and took my shoes off. Standing in my socks, I looked up at Liam as he hopped around on one foot trying to take his socks off. I laughed and continued to take my socks off while the rest of the group huddled around the trunk.
“You do know you cant swim here, right?” Louis asked Liam.
“Yes I know that but I don’t want to get a farmers tan.” Liam raised his arms and flexed.
“Oh gosh, stop it Liam.” I laughed out.
“Meanie!” Liam pouted while everyone else continued to change and get ready to go down to the beach.
I rolled my eyes as my hands gripped the bottom of my sweater and tugged it off over my head. Harry’s eyes landed on me while I held my sweater in my hands. My eyes shot down to my chest just to make sure I was wearing a shirt, and I was. I looked up at Harry and shook my head before picking my socks and shoes off the ground. Louis started singing “Hakuna Matata” and dancing around, He’s obviously ready.
“Let’s take all the stuff down there.” Liam was talking to Louis while he reached for the blanket.
Louis nodded and helped him take the stuff down to the beach. Zayn was leaning against the car, fixing his beanie when Harry poked his abs. I laughed while Zayn freaked out and almost fell over. Niall was by my side and laughing too.
“Shut up.” Zayn blushed, walking in the same direction that Liam and Louis went.
“Ready?” Harry asked looking from Niall to me.
“Yup.” We nodded and stepped back so Harry could close the trunk.
I watched my feet as we walked toward the beach, the rocks and gravel were extremely sharp. Niall was running his fingers through his hair when I glanced up at him; he was watching something in front of us but when I looked, I only saw sand. I looked back at the ground while Harry laced our fingers together. When we got down to where Liam and Louis were, we all sat down.
