Chapter 19: Har-Bear
Harry’s POV
I walked out of the bathroom with my bag and found Sage sitting on the bed with the guys. Sage stood up and grabbed her purse from next to her and looked at me. I set my pajamas into the bag and slipped my Converse on while everyone got up. Once I was done, I grabbed my phone and followed them to the door. We all walked down the hallway to the elevator and got in while Sage pulled her phone out of her pocket and adjusted her purse. I led the way with Sage by my side to the car. She took the passenger’s seat so I sat in the drivers seat.
When we got to Aunt Susie’s, the driveway and the street were filled with cars. I parked the car next to Aunt Susie’s house and turned off the engine. We all got out and the walked to the front of the car. I looked down at Sage’s outfit and smiled. She’s wearing the sweater and shorts I bought her. FINALLY!
“You look nice Sage.” I leaned down and kissed her cheek.
“Thanks. I love this outfit, I see why you bought it for me.” She reached down and fixed the edges of her ripped shorts.
We interlocked our fingers while we walked toward the house. I recognized a lot of the people standing in Papa Cy’s yard so we headed right for his house. Louis led the way and opened the little gate for all of us. We walked through it and said hello to his family before going toward the porch where Aunt Susie was sitting. Louis and Liam went onto the porch with her while the rest of us stood with some of the family.
“Hi kids.” She smiled at us and stood up.
“Hi, how’s he doing?” Louis asked looking toward the closed front door.
“He’s okay. Actually, I need to talk to everyone.” She looked from Louis and Liam to everyone in the yard. “Hey!” She shouted so everyone would be quiet. “Okay, with the medicine he’s on, he’ll be asleep for most of today. I have no issue with you being here or leaving, it’s up to you but I will be here with him today. I am treating everyone to dinner tonight and besides that, do what you want with today.”
The murmuring started up again as she sat back down. Dennis started talking to Sage and I about going out to Ferndale, a little town only a few miles away.
“It’s a really nice town to shop in or just walk around in. There are a ton of little shops and old cars there.” Dennis was really artistic so when he said something was ‘nice’ I trusted him on it.
“That actually sounds nice and isn't the beach near there?” Sage asked with real interest.
“Yea, you just follow the main road out there.” Dennis nodded and looked at his phone.
I looked to my side when someone touched my arm; it was Niall. He apologized quietly and looked at Jenn as she walked up and stood next to Dennis.
“We should all go out to No Brand for lunch then you guys can hangout in Ferndale.” Jenn offered.
“Yea, and we’ll pay.” Niall was good at calm situations down or raising spirits.
“Hey Lou, can I get some advice on something?” I pulled Louis aside while we stood in an antique store.
“Sure.” He looked confused but followed me away from the group. “What is it?”
“I want to purpose to Sage.” I blurted it out.
