Hey guys!

This has been a long time coming, but this is my review of Intoxicated by cheskastyles:

Summary:
The summary is short, sweet and simple which is never a bad thing. It gives you a taste of what to expect without without giving much of the possible plot away, which I personally always think is a good thing as it gives you a chance to develop your ideas and make alterations as you go (I learnt this the hard way when 60 chapters into my own main story, I have COMPLETELY gone off track and the summary doesn't make much sense to the plot...)
I love the use of the hashtag and the warning at the end of the summary as well. #downwiththetimes

Characters:
Okay, so I want to start by saying I love Harry in this story. I like the harsh exterior that's then contrasted with the way he is with Claire, it shows him as a two dimensional character which isn't always the case with characters in fan fiction - this can be said for Louis and Claire as well. Blair is the only character that I have struggled to really connect to because she doesn't seem to have a solid personality and sometimes it can feel like I am reading a different character and I have to read it twice to remind myself. Another little minor thing that I sometimes struggle with is the similar names of Blair and Claire (but you address that in the notes as something you didn't even notice initially) but that's just probably me being pedantic since I speed read and then have to go back haha.
I really like the complexity of the relationships between the characters in this story. It really helps to keep readers engaged with the story since theres unexpected ways that characters engage and build and damage their relationships - the best part about the characters for me, has to be the way that they sometimes react in a way that I don't expect, but I love this because it keeps me on my toes and makes me feel as though I am getting to know the characters on another level. #yourcharactersarelikeonions

Grammar and Layout:
I have to say, the grammar and layout was a little hard to understand in places in the earlier chapters, but as the story has progressed, it's gotten so much better and easier to understand. Note: This story was amazing enough for me not to care that sometimes it seemed a little difficult to read when I first started <3 #levelupwritingskills

Plot:
I love the plot of this story, its very Gossip Girl-esque and keeps you entertained for chapter after chapter. There is nice progression from each event and it flows smoothly which is important and not always something that you get in a lot of fan fiction. I am eager to see where this story ends up. #xoxoCheskaStyles

Overall comments:
I love that you have little tasters for the next chapter in the notes section of each chapter, it really gets me excited for what's in store. I think you really have a grasp on what people want from a story and you serve it with drama and garnish it with romance. #alwaysontheedgeofmyseat

Would I recommend this story to someone else: If you miss Gossip Girl and you need a slice of romance, drama, secrets and Chuck Bass-esque Harry Styles alter ego in your life, then this should definitely be the next story you read!
