Hey Guys!

So, this is my first review that isn’t on request of the author and is more of an opinion piece that I wanted to do myself, because it’s actually one of my favourite fanfics on this site!

When I first found this story, I was hesitant. Confession: I had kind of gone off of 5 Seconds of Summer and Luke Hemmings over the years that they were on their break and I was reluctant to read it. I read so many other fanfics instead and they were okay but none of them really caught my attention, whereas every time I saw this one it caught my eye. Finally, I gave in and decided to read it… and OH. MY. GOD.

This story literally has me pulling at my hair and crying because I am obsessed with it. Everything about it is absolutely perfect.

Plots in fanfiction is something that a lot of people seem to struggle with (I include myself in this category of people) but this story gets it spot on. It gets the balance between realism and a good story perfectly. I find myself needing more because the characters are relatable, they react to situations as normal people would, and the plot in general is just so well constructed. The pitfall that this story has avoided is having characters that aren’t consistent in their personalities or all the characters blurring into one – even minor characters are distinguishable with different personalities and characteristics that are maintained throughout.

I want to read fanfiction that actually makes me fall in love with the characters and that’s exactly what Exiiliious knows how to do. Fanfics like this are few and far between, and I genuinely think that everyone who comes across this story should take the time to stop and read it, you will not regret it.
