Changing My Life

Amy's POV
I woke up to someone poking me.
"Hey Amy, wake up" I blinked several time but my vision wasn't clear. I reached on the bedside table and grabbed my glasses. It was Louis.
"Oh hey Louis, didn't see you there" I joked and he chuckled noticing what I meant.
"We're going to brunch since everyone slept in, care to join ?" I wasn't ready to face Liam and I think Louis noticed.
"You'll have to face him sooner or later love, come on" He basically dragged me out of bed and I got ready. I went downstairs and found them all waiting.
"You ready ?" Liam asked and I shivered at his voice. I wasn't ready to face him but I nodded and kept myself from having eye contact with him.
In the car I just started a conversation with Niall about the guitar lessons and he said he would teach me when we get back home since we have time to kill before the party. It was 11 am and the party starts at 7 so we had time.
I got a text from Ashley saying she'll be over at 6 and to shower before so she will start with the hair and make up straight away. I wonder what I'm going to wear.
We went to McDonald's drive through and ordered then got home and ate.
Me and Niall immediately went to the music room and started the guitar lessons while Louis took Freddie back to Briana and Liam and Harry were hanging out getting stuff ready for tonight since we were having the party at the house.
After an hour of guitar lessons, I was proud to say that I managed, considering it was my first time.
I glanced at the time and it was 3 so I decided to practice the song. Niall stayed and helped me by giving me tips to calm my nerves down. He kept on saying that 5SOS and Little Mix were cool so no need to be nervous and then there's going to be Simon, the guys and my crew along with some background dancers.
We practiced for an hour and then decided to join the others to see how the decorating was going.
Louis was back and was helping with the lights, Liam was helping with the booze and Harry was setting the stage. I decided to see if I could help but they shooed me off. So I just watched T.V. for a while trying to stay out of everybody's way and kill the time.
After about an hour I went to my room and took a long bath, then there was a knock at my room. I put on my robe and opened the door slightly to find Harry with a cheeky grin.
"Need anything ?" I asked.
"There's someone here for you she had lots of luggage and a rack of clothes, her name is Ashley." He said. I could tell he liked her by the way he said her name.
"Yeah that's my stylist, can you send her up please ?" I said and he nodded and skipped happily downstairs.
A couple of minutes later I had another knock on my door, I opened it to reveal Ashley. Wow, Styles wasn't kidding when he said a lot of luggage. I stood there dumbfounded for a second thinking she unpacked the whole dressing room. I'm surprised she didn't unhook the wall mirror as well. I let her in and she immediately set everything down.
"Okay lets see what to wear then we decide shades and then hairstyles okay ?" she said.
"Yeah sure." She started shuffling through clothes.
"Umm how about this one ?" she said showing me a blue floor length dress. I shook my head no, it was too elegant and not my style. After 5 more dresses which I disapproved she finally showed me one that was my style and which I was happy with.
She started my make up after choosing the perfect shade and then she dried my hair since it was damp because I had just washed it. After styling it I put on the dress and decided on jewelry and shoes along with some finishing touches.
During all this I had gotten to know Ashley and was comfortable with talking to her like the other lads maybe a bit more since she was a girl, I even told her about how I used to cut and she put cover up make up on my scars while she gave me an encouraging speech. When I took a glance in the mirror I was speechless she truly was a miracle worker, she managed to make ME look beautiful !
After a while she spoke up,
"Perfect, now I should get ready" I helped her get ready and repeated the same process with me but she did everything herself I only helped briefly and gave my opinion I was surprised with how she managed, I could never be able to do that.
"Can't wait to hear you sing tonight" She said grinning.
"Yeah I can't wait to embarrass myself" I said sarcastically, I was getting really nervous. I felt like I was gonna pee myself and ruin the whole thing.
"I'm sure you'll do fine" She said trying to help me calm down, probably noticing my shaking hands.
We glanced in the mirror together and took some selfies and uploaded them on social media. Then we started a real personal conversation but I was surprisingly comfortable talking to her about it. Being in London has changed me a lot.
"So, trying to impress someone tonight ? I'm sure everyone will have all eyes on you, I did a good job." She said winking.
"Umm .. sort of. You ?" I said blushing.
"Well .. kinda. I'll spill if you do." she said. It felt like I finally had a best friend, not that the lads aren't but what I mean is a girl best friend and it felt so good.
"Well .. I kinda have a thing for Liam but please don't tell anyone" I said.
"Oh, the one with the quiff ?" I nodded. "He likes you too".
"How so ? Do you know him ?" I asked. She shook her head no.
"No, but when I came here and mentioned your name he blushed and was grinning like an idiot." She said.
I was blushing like mad. But then I remembered what had happened yesterday and I told her starting from what I heard to what Louis said.
"Well you never know for sure. Did he leave the house today ?" Come to think of it no.
"No, he was here all day, I heard him say 'pick you up at 7' maybe he's leaving tonight or bringing her to the party. Louis is bringing Danielle so .. " I started trailing off. She shrugged,
"Well .. we'll see tonight then won't we."
"Yeah I guess, now your turn. Spill" I said giggling.
"I have a soft spot for Harry". She said blushing.
"I knew it. When he came up here to tell me you arrived he was smiling and slightly blushing when he said your name, he even skipped down stairs" I said and she blushed more.
"Really ? or are you just saying that ?" She asked. "No it's true and you look amazing I'm sure he won't leave your side tonight and will give you his number, I bet on it" I said, really happy for her. They would make a cute couple.
She was blushing like crazy. I took out my phone from my purse and saw that it was 7:15.
"Oh my it's past 7 we should go downstairs I don't want a bad impression on Simon or the bands." I said and the panic returned.
"Calm down, deep breaths. You look great and you'll do amazing. Let's go" she said reassuringly.
We took one last glance at our outfits and made our way downstairs.
I took a deep breath and followed the noise to the room were the party was held. All eyes were on me and Ashley, I was so nervous.
After a while of just standing at the door scanning the room, I noticed that everyone was there and I was late. Great.
Simon came up to me and he had a smile on his face, maybe he didn't want to cause a scene about my tardiness.
"Hello Amy you look beautiful." He said hugging me. Wow okay.
"Hi, sorry I'm late, we were talking and didn't notice the time" I said apologizing.
"It's okay love we just got here, come let me introduce you to everyone." Okay calm down, deep breaths. All eyes were on Simon as he made his way to the stage and I stood there with Ashley and the music died down so they could hear him.
"Hello everyone, I'm glad you could make it. The reason for this party is to introduce my newest artist to my label which is Amy Rodriguez. She's an amazing singer and will be performing for you later on. So have fun and can't wait to see your opinion on how she sings". Great now I have like a dozen people judging me on what I hate doing in front of people.
Simon got off the stage and music continued playing in the background. He came up to me again and told me to go set up so I could sing. Oh well better get this over with.
I went next to the stage were the boys were with Ashley beside me.
"Hey Ams, no need to be nervous okay. You look gorgeous" Niall said.
"Yeah kinda hard to do that when I have like a dozen people judging my singing and thanks I owe it all to Ashley here, she's my stylist." I said starting to shake again. I caught Liam's gaze and he came up to me hugging me whispering
"You look beautiful, your voice is amazing, you will do great."
"Thanks" I said and then the others hugged me.
When I got to Harry I had to encourage him to talk to Ashley.
"Hey Harry, take care of Ashley for me while I'm up there peeing myself in front of everyone will ya, she really likes you." He frowned at my first remark then started blushing and grinning like crazy after realizing I mentioned Ashley and that she likes him.
"You will do great and I will" He said trying to bite his lip to prevent a huge grin but it was still evident.
"Yeah I kinda bet her you will give her your number, so don't let me down kay?" I said winking to him. He chuckled and nodded. Then I heard Simon introduce me and before I knew it I was in front of like 20 people on stage with a mic in my hands.
The music started, thankfully I won't have to introduce myself again. I put my gaze on Liam and got lost in his eyes singing 'In Case', sometimes closing my eyes during the high notes but staring in his eyes again.
Before I knew it I heard cheering and clapping. I opened my eyes, nodded as a sort of bow to thank them and got off stage blushing and grinning like an idiot.
Liam quickly engulfed me in a hug and was praising me, I was just grinning still dumbfounded with how it turned out. Soon enough the boys introduced me to 5SOS and Little Mix I tried to contain my excitement since i'm a fan but soon calmed down and realized how cool they were. Louis introduce me to Danielle, she was so nice and warm.
After what seemed like 2 hours Liam pulled me aside and led me outside to the balcony. We stood there in silence for a while looking at the beautiful night sky until he cleared his throat and I found myself stuck in his gaze again.
"Umm .. Amy would you like to ... go on like a date with me .... tomorrow maybe ?" I was shocked, what happened to Jessica or what's her name?
"Uh ... I thought you asked Jessica out tonight ?" I asked slightly happy he asked but still confused.
"Who ?" He asked, confused "I don't know anyone named Jessica" Okay now I was even more confused, was he stood up and ended up asking me and now is embarrassed to talk about her ?
"I heard you ask her out yesterday, you said you would pick her up today at 7" I said.
"Oh my goodness, you heard that. I'm so embarrassed. I was practicing how to ask you out today I didn't want you to know so I made up a name because I was really nervous" He said blushing. Wow, Liam Payne was nervous to ask me out. He performed a billion times in front of millions of girls why would he be nervous to ask me ?
"So that's why Louis said she doesn't exist" I thought to myself.
"Huh" I'm guessing he heard that. Oh well might as well come clean now. I managed to pull off performing I might as well confess.
"Uh I heard you ask 'Jessica' out and got upset, that's why I locked myself in my room crying, then I texted Louis saying he was wrong of me having a chance of you liking me, he came to my room and said that 'Jessica' doesn't exist" I said putting Jessica in air quotes.
"Oh so that's why he said I messed up and better make it up to you, I'm sorry I upset you. I was so upset seeing you like that yesterday and now I feel worse knowing it was my fault" He said.
"Don't worry about it, you didn't know you were comforting me about yourself. You were right though, that everything would be alright." I said laughing. It's really a funny situation.
He chuckled and shifted on his feet.
"So, umm ... what do you say ?" He asked getting nervous again.
"Yes Liam I'll go out with you" He grinned widely and engulfed me in a hug.
"Great I can't wait" He said pulling away.
"We should get back there, it's kinda my party and I'm ditching it" I said, giggling.
"Yeah come on" He said offering me his hand and I gladly took it.
We went inside only to be greeted by the boys grinning widely. Me and Liam never let go and just stood next to each other holding hands both grinning like crazy.
"So, I'm guessing she said yes ?" Niall asked gesturing to our joint hands.
"Oh Niall, can't you see it written all over their faces" Louis chirped up with his arms around Danielle's waist.
Me and Liam just blushed. Ashley whispered in my ear a 'You were right' and ' I told you so' and a 'We'll talk later'. Simon approached us along with the others.
"So, Liam. What's this ?" He asked gesturing ant our joint hands and looking from me to Liam for an answer. I gulped nervously.
"I asked Amy out and she said yes" Everyone awed and Simon smiled but I could feel a speech coming.
"Be careful of the paps and the fan base and the media, I would advice to announce that you are dating when you get serious. But Congratulations." He said. Wow I thought he was going to forbid it and not let me live with them or something. We nodded and thanked them.
"And Amy I'm proud of you. You really worked on your confidence."He said.
"Thanks, they helped though." Gesturing to the boys.
I was so happy with myself and with my life right now and you can tell. If you knew me before you would say that you wouldn't recognized me because I'm the opposite of what I was. I can talk to people and be more confident. I stopped cutting because I have people who actually care about me. I'm proud of myself for once. I'm doing what I love with the people that I love.
Soon enough everyone left but me and Liam never left each other, we were still holding hands. I told him I was going to crash so he led me to my room, when we reached the door he kissed my cheek and hugged me with one hand as if he didn't want to let go. But eventually he did and left for his room.
I got out of my clothes and into some comfy ones. I plopped on the bed and texted Ashley all about how he asked me and I asked her about her about Harry. She said she would come tomorrow and help me get ready for my date and she told me that she's going to hang out with Harry while we're away.
Then I got a text from Liam causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach.

I was so happy I can't wait for tomorrow. I surely slept happily that night.
Liam's POV
When I got to my room I changed and plopped on my bed thinking about all that had happened. I couldn't stop smiling. I was nervous from the minute I woke up till she said yes. That's when all my worry went away. And how she confessed about how she felt about me asking a girl out. I felt sad that I cause her being upset but happy at the same time that she likes me. I didn't mean to hurt her and I didn't know she was listening. When she explained, Louis's words made sense.
I was so nervous all day. When her stylist arrived and I heard her name I was like a maniac, grinning and blushing but also shaking due to being nervous to ask her out. When she entered the room at the party I couldn't stop staring she looked absolutely beautiful and when she sang, I was out of breath. We kept looking in each other's eyes. She sang so beautifully, it was so powerful.
And then when we held hands all night, I felt so happy, like I just had concurred the world. I didn't want to let go but I had to. I wanted to cuddle with her and have her fall asleep in my arms. I can't help but imagine what it would be like.
I'm going to text her. I'm too hyped up to stop myself, I'm just too happy and it would make my night just to have her text me back even with a simple goodnight.

I pressed send and sighed. Literally 2 seconds later she texted back. It was like she was waiting for me to text her. Maybe that could be our thing.

Yeah that definitely made my night. I drifted off to sleep with the image of her saying yes and me grinning widely.
