Changing My Life

Amy's POV
It's been 2 years since Liam proposed and all I have been doing is non stop planning, album writing and touring. Emily is in first grade, I remember crying when she was going to her first day, she was so cute with her uniform and backpack. Now she's the class genius. She keeps on getting cuter and cuter.
Today I will no longer be Amy Rodriguez but I will be Amy Payne. I haven't seen Liam since last night and it's killing me. He sent me roses this morning with a card saying 'Morning Beautiful, can't wait to call you Mrs Payne, Lots of love Liam xoxo.' He's so cute, I got my phone and quickly texted him before Ashley or his sisters caught me. 'Thanks for the roses, I can't wait to see you. I'll be the one in white ;) Love you xoxo'.
I set my phone down and went downstairs, I had the mansion to myself along with Emily, my bride's maid, maid of honor, flower girls and my mother and father in law. Gemma, Ruth and Nicola are my bridesmaids, Ashley is my maid of honor whilst Louis's young sisters and Emily where the flower girls. Freddie was the ring bearer and Louis was Liam's best-man.
Downstairs was chaos, everyone was running around getting ready, we had 4 hours till the wedding. I calmly ate some cereal in the kitchen were no one noticed me. When I was done I sucked in a deep breath and made my way to the chaos, the living room. There were a lot of tables and chairs where everyone was seated at, either getting makeup, hair or nails done. Dress bags and Shoe boxes where everywhere up to the fact where you can't see the floor tiles. I cleared my throat and everyone looked at me.
"Mommy" Emily screamed hugging me. "Look at my shoes and my dress and I even have make up like you and even my nails are pink look." I smiled and picked her up. She was so cute when she rambled. "Yes honey, you look beautiful." I said and she continued rambling. "Aunt Lou and Aunt Ash did them." I smiled and set her down.
"Amy, you're up. How are you ?" Ashley asked while hugging me.

"I'm good, anxious but good." They nodded understanding. I made my way to the couch waiting to be given instructions on what to do. I opened my phone and scrolled through some pictures of me, Emily and Liam. I always pictured marrying Liam and having kids with him, I'm just anxious on how life would be from now on.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Karen. She wiped away my tears that I hadn't noticed and smiled sadly at me.
"Hey hun, I know you feel nervous right now. I remember myself having these feelings before marrying Geoff but look where it got me now, at my own son's wedding." We laughed and I hugged her.
"Thanks mom, I love you"
"I love you too sweetie, I couldn't agree with Liam more when he chose you. You are an amazing person, I know you will take care of my Liam and I'm glad to give him away to you, just remember that I'm not getting any younger so I'm expecting more grand-babies." I laughed and hugged her again.
"Thanks mom" We hugged again. Me, Karen and Geoff are very close. They are like parents to me. In fact they will be walking me down the isle.
"Let's get you prettied up for Liam shall we ?" I nodded and took her hand.
3 hours of torture aka getting ready we had the mansion cleaned for pictures and everyone was perfectly dressed.

We took pictures and then eventually I made my way down stairs where everyone was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. Geoff extended his hand for me to take and we took pictures together. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. I opened it and found a teddy bear, with a note. 'Good luck babe I love you, can't wait to see you and make you the future Mrs Payne. Hurry to the alter, love Liam xxx'
I cried as I read the note over and over again and hugged the bear for dear life. Karen and Geoff hugged me when they noticed the note and the bear. I took 15 minutes of alone time in the bathroom to clear my head.
After a while I contained myself and left the room. Ashley approached me and fixed my make up a little and we took off to the car. I rode with Geoff and Karen while the others had separate cars.
We made it to the church and I took deep breaths.
We slowly got out of the car and I interlocked my arms with Geoff and Karen. We made our way to the steps of the church while pictures where constantly being taken. The boys approached me while everyone was lining up. "Amy, you look beautiful" Louis exclaimed. They all hugged me. "Liam is in there sweating and shaking." Niall joked. "I can't wait to see him" I said. I need a hug from him right now. "Alright everyone in positions please." Ashley shouted. They all lined up in couples and the church doors opened. As everyone made their way down the isle, I was smiling at people I knew. My crew, Simon, 5SOS, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran. Then I met Liam's beautiful brown eyes and felt like I was falling in love with him all over again. He was crying which only made me cry too. He looked so handsome, how did I get so lucky to deserve him ? He smiled widely and I blushed while smiling back. We reached Liam and the pastor. Geoff and Karen gave me away to Liam. "Take care of her son" Geoff whispered. Ashley took my bouquet and I hugged Karen and Geoff and Liam took my hand. We hugged and he put my veil over my head and out of my face. He kissed both my cheeks and we made our way to the altar.
"We are gathered here today ......." I tuned out the pastor and gazed into Liam's eyes. He had a huge smile on his face while we were holding hands.
"Liam and Amy have prepared their own vows which they will now share." The pastor gestured for Liam to start and he nodded.
"Amy, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. We have been through so much in the last 3 years, including saving your life and our daughter's. We are so blessed to have Emily and now she is in a better place living with us rather than at that horrid orphanage. Knowing that together we saved a life is what keeps us growing stronger and seeing her living happily with us is what help us to keep on going. As hard as anything in our life may be I promise to be there for you as you partner in life as long as we both shall live. As long as you are with me, you will never question if you are beautiful or feel alone because I will always be there. I love you and I will never stop letting you know that you are beautiful and how lucky I am to be with you. I only hope that our family continues to grow and that we will live a long and happy life together." We were both crying and I so desperately wanted to kiss him right now and hug him. But now it's my turn to tell Liam how I feel.
"Liam, I remember the first time I saw you was on my laptop. I was a huge fan of yours. I was touched by your voice and your amazing, caring eyes. I always felt a connection with you. I always hoped that somehow I would meet you. You helped me go through a lot of things in my life, including my parents death and you still didn't know I existed. When we finally met and I knew you had feelings for me I knew we were meant to be. We adopted our little angel Emily and saved her life together. You helped me keep myself together and stopped me from doing mistakes I would later regret. I am glad to spent the rest of my life with you. I will be forever thankful and grateful towards God for giving me you. You are my hero, my angel and the love of my life. I promise that as long as you are with me you will never be alone and that you will always have a shoulder to cry on and have arms to lift you up when you're down. I will love you with every fiber in my body till death do us part." We cried even more but I managed to get all that out. I could hear everyone crying in the distance but my eyes never left Liam's.
"May I have the rings ?" The pastor asked and Freddie walked up to us with a cushion and two rings.
"I Liam James Payne take you Amy Marie Rodriguez to have and to hold as long as I shall live, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer. With this ring I will promise to be faithful to you for ever and always." Liam said slipping my ring on my finger.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." The pastor said he stepped away and whispered to Liam "You may kiss your bride". And with that we had the most passionate kiss ever. It was only me and him, I put everything I got to show him I love him in that kiss and I could feel that he did the same. When we pulled away for air, I could hear cheering, we turned to face everyone while we made our way towards the exit. We stopped at the entrance and looked at each other. "I love you Mrs Payne" "And I love you Mr Payne" He picked me up bridal style, well I am a bride, but anyways, and took me to the car.
We got in our car and drove to the venue. "Ready to have the time of our lives ?" Liam asked me as we were at the back of our limo. "Hell yeah." We laughed and cuddled up to each other. When we arrived everyone was already there waiting for us outside. They cheered as we approached the venue and we got out. We took lots of pictures at the venue and then made our way to the dance floor.
"Introducing for the first time, Mr and Mrs Payne" The DJ said and we ran to the dance floor. "For their first dance of husband and wife, this is 'Thinking out loud'. Ed Sheeran everyone". Ed started singing and me and Liam danced towards the middle of the song Emily joined our dance and we happily enjoyed our time together as an official family. The Payne's.
After the song we made our way to our table which was kinda royalty style and we sat down and ate. Ashley and Louis stood up after we were done and tapped on their glass of champagne with a fork gathering everyone's attention.
"Hi, I'm Ashley and this is Louis. We are the maid of honor and best man to the most amazing people we have ever known. Amy, when I first met you we became best friends instantly, you are an amazing singer and an amazing best friend. I have known you for 3 years and I don't regret a single moment. You are a beautiful young lady, I would always tell you that you don't need makeup because you are beautiful as you are. But that's my job so I kinda have too." Everyone laughed.
"I remember the first time we met I came to your house and we were talking and after we got ready for the party, you were nervous because you had never sang in front of anyone before and I helped you calm own. Then I asked you if you were impressing anyone that evening and you admitted your love for Liam. That night at our sleep over you told me he asked you out and I remember you were so happy he did. You two are perfect for each other. I love you both and I hope you know that I am here for you anytime." I was crying again, damn Ashley.
"Hi I'm Louis and me and Liam have been best mates for what seems like forever. I don't regret a minute of it. When we entered McDonald's that one day and Liam saw Amy I knew he fell in love. He never looked at any girl like that so I dragged him to her booth. When we all hung out I noticed Amy looking at Liam in the same way he was looking at her so I teased her about it and she blushed so much." Everyone laughed and I blushed.
"Since that day me and Amy texted and one day she sent me a screenshot of her texts with Liam and I remember texting her back saying #Liamy who knew that would be a real thing ?" Everyone laughed again, true. "Liam had told me he liked her and I helped him ask her out and plan their first date, me and Amy are like best friends. We talk about everything. My son Freddie loves her as a mother and so does she. She helped me a lot to raise him. I am forever thankful for your friendship and I am glad that my best mate married my best friend because they are both perfect for each other. I mean come on, she watches 'Toy Story' with him, what more could he ask for ?" Everyone laughed and Liam shot a glare at Louis then laughed.
"Me and the boys along with your family have helped little Emily over here make a video for you, this was right after Liam proposed and Emily wanted to show it to you. You guys are the best parents I have ever met. You saved her life and made her happy. " We watched as a video played of pictures of Emily and all of us. There was the video Liam shot of Emily's birthday when we took her to watch Dory. I was crying on Liam whilst we were hugging Emily and thanking her for doing this. She's a smart one for a five year old. Then the video I haven't seen from 2 Christmases ago after Liam proposed started.
"Okay Emily go." Someone said, it sounded like Ashley.
"Hi mommy and daddy, I so exsited that daddy gonna mawwy mommy. Mommy gonna dwess like a pwincess. Then I get baby sister or bwother. I love mummy and daddy betasue they buy me pwesents and give me food. My uncwes awe cwazy. But I wuv aww of them. Mommy is so happy with daddy because she wuvs him I know it. I hope she can be happy with daddy. Daddy is so nice he pways pwincess with me and mommy cooks dewicous round things fow bwefast. She a good cook and good singwer. I wish I can be as pwetty as mommy one day and find a pwince like daddy. Mommy found hew pwince and he's gonna take hew to a casewl aftew they mawwied. I pwomise to be good evewyday because then the buy me mowe dowws. I wuv Uncwe Lou Lou's scowter its so fun and mommy and daddy got me a pony. Its pink. I wuv uncuwle hawwy's hair but uncwle ni ni's hair is better betause it yellow. Fweddie is vewy cute I his big cousin because I twee. I wike to pway with him but he doesn't pway pwincess betause he's too small. I want to ting like mommy and daddy and become a pwincess." "Tell then you love them sweetie" "I wuv you mommy and daddy fakyuw fow saving me" The video ended and I was sobbing on Liam he was crying too hugging me close while we hugged her closer.
"Thankyou so much honey. We love you so much." I said as we kissed her forehead. "Don't cry mommy, you're too pretty to cry." I chuckled at her using my own words against me. Such a smart one. I bopped her nose as we stood up and hugged Louis and Ashley thanking them.
"Thank you all for coming to celebrate with us on our special day. Thank you for all those who loved and cared for Emily we appreciate it very much. We are so thankful to have you all. Have a great time." Liam said. Everyone clapped and the music started again.
I had my father daughter dance with Geoff and I was thankful for that.
After that they put a chair in the middle of the dance floor, it was time for me to get embarrassed. I sat on the chair as Liam knelt beside me, he lifted slightly my dress and grabbed my garter with his teeth siding it down my leg. When he managed he stood up twirling it then tossing it to the huddled bachelors to see who would get married next. Turns out it was Harry.
Now its time for me to throw the bouquet, Ashley was eyeing it and trying to position herself, obviously wanting to catch it and be the one who marries Harry. Ironically enough, she managed and they both kissed while everyone teased them about there wedding. I went to my bridal suite and got dressed in my going away outfit. With Ashley and Karen's help.
I met Liam again were he was dressed in a nice shirt and pants. The boys carried us on their shoulders to our car where we said our goodbyes.
"Em, be good for your grandparents please, we will see you in a week baby. I love you." I said hugging her. This is my first time without her for so long.
"I love you honey." Liam said kissing her cheek as we hugged.

"I love you too." She replied as Geoff scooped her in his arms. Karen handed me my purse and the boys loaded our luggage then we set off to a surprise destination that Liam still hasn't told me about.
