Changing My Life

I got a call from my manager saying we need to talk about tours. It's been 1 month since the X factor, meaning 8 months since me and Liam got together. Wow time flies by fast.
"Hey Amy." My manager Alex greeted me as I stepped in his office.
"Hey Alex, what's up?" I said.
"So, tour will start in September meaning in a few weeks. You will tour America and finish in Australia. It will be 6 months long. You have a month break from 15th December till 15th January where you can fly home then you will resume the tour which will finally end in March."
"Okay, so when does it start exactly ?"
"1st of September"
"Oh okay" I said frowning.
"Problem ?" He asked.
"Not really, it's my birthday that's all." I said. I never bothered celebrating my birthday and knowing the woman who gave birth to me and the people who raised me are dead doesn't encourage me to celebrate it. But it kinda sucks since I have my own little family now.
"Oh, so sorry. I didn't know. That's okay I will fix it and we'll leave 3rd of September. Giving you a day after your birthday as well. How does that sound ?" I was shocked he would change the whole tour for me.
"You don't have to. It's just a stupid birthday. I don't want to ruin rehearsals or anything."
"No it's totally fine, I'll inform Simon and I will confirm the changes. I'm sure he will be fine with it"
"Thanks Alex, it's totally fine if he can't change it though." He nodded and smiled. "I have to ask you a question though" He gave me a look saying 'go on'. "What about Emily ?" He smiled.
"She'll be joining you of course, even Freddie. We have arranged spaces on the bus for their stuff. It's totally organised." Wow.
"Thanks a lot." I hugged him and made my way home. I opened the door and heard the boys talking. They didn't seem happy.
"Why would they move the tour, it's stupid. This has been planned from the beginning of the Hiatus. I hate disappointing fans." Harry said.
"It must be some stupid reason, why would they change it 2 weeks before." Niall said.
I gulped knowing it's my fault. I guess while I was in the limo, Alex informed Simon, he agreed and told the boys. They're gonna hate me.
"Uh hi." I said awkwardly.
"Hey Ams, can you believe they moved the tour date ? Ugh why are they so stupid ?!" Niall exclaimed whilst plopping on the sofa with his head in his hands.
"Uh yeah I know and it's totally my fault, I'm sorry." They all looked at me confused.
"Why is it your fault babe ?" Liam asked as I sat on the couch between Louis and him.
"Uh, I had a meeting with Alex today and he told me the tour starts on the 1st of September, he saw me slightly frowning and asked why. I swear I told him not to change it. I don't mind at all that they clashed. I never cared especially since my family's dead. But I guessed since I had you guys it would be different this year..."I kept rambling.
"Hey, hey it's alright. What's on the 1st of September ?" Louis asked. I took a deep breath realizing how stupid this is gonna sound. It's only my 19th birthday.
"My birthday" I said in a silent tone. They all gasped and started apologizing together. It was all a fuss.
"Relax I don't even mind, it's just another year. I'll speak with Alex and we'll change it back."
"What ? No ! It's your birthday, you are not going to spend your birthday on a plane and then end up being jet legged. We understand." Louis said.
"Yeah management always try to avoid our birthdays so that we celebrate it properly." Niall said.
"I'm such an asshole, I forgot it was your birthday that day. Otherwise I would have protested myself." Liam said looking ashamed. "I knew there was something weird when I heard 1st of September, how could I forget ?"
"Hey calm down, I seriously don't mind" I love seeing them all care about me but it's going too far. It's just another birthday. But this one is the first without my other family and the first with my new family. So it's kinda special I guess.
"I promise I will make it perfect." Liam said and they all nodded.
"Being with all of you is enough, now where's my princess ?" Trying to stop being the center of attention. I hate that.
"Taking a nap" Liam said.
"Oh okay, I'm going to make dinner." I stood up and made some chicken. Liam came next to me in the kitchen.
"Umm ... babe can I ask you a personal stupid question ?" He asked. Okay this is weird.
"Uh, sure" I said confused.
"This is totally stupid but we've been living together for 8 months now and I never heard you complain about a stomach ache or had any mood swings or add any tampons to the grocery list. You don't have to be embarrassed you know. We understand." My eyes widened realizing what he's asking me.
"Uh, that's because I'm a little girl" I said trying to not say it in exact words but he looked confused "Huh ?" I sighed.
"I never got my period, ever." I said ashamed. I always thought that I wasn't normal. I mean I'm a 19 year old who never got her period.
"Oh, isn't that a bad thing ?" He asked concerned.
"Yeah but I never told anyone." I said.
"Well, now you told me and I'm going to take you to a specialist." He said with a serious look on his face.
"It's okay Liam. I don't think I want to go-" I left the room before I could burst to tears. I don't want to go because then they'll tell me that I can't have kids or something and Liam will break up with me. I went to my room, not mine and Liam's room and locked it. I slid down the door and sobbed.
Why did he have to ask ? I have to talk to someone. Who would I feel comfortable talking about with this ? Niall ? no. Harry ? no. Louis ? maybe. I'll text him.

Sure enough in 5 minutes someone knocked on my door. I couldn't open it, what if it was Liam ? I can't talk to him right now. I need advice first.
"Amy, it's Louis. Open up." I sighed and opened the door.
"Hey what's up ?" He said hugging me once he saw me sobbing.
"Um.. I need to talk about something to someone." I said, trying to pull myself together.
"Sure, is it something to do with Liam ?"
"Sorta, how'd you know ?"
"Well, you asked to talk to me instead of him. So I sorta thought so." I gave him an 'oh' face and continued.
"Liam, asked me why he never saw me having stomach aches and mood swings. And why I never asked you guys to buy me tampons. I told him because I have never gotten my period. Now he wants to take me to a doctor. I don't want to go. There might be a chance that I can't have kids then he'll break up with me. We talked about kids, he wants a family. What if I can't give that to him ?" I started crying again. He rubbed my back and shushed me.
"Listen to me, Liam loves you. If I were you I would warn him about this. That there is a chance that the doctor might say that. But I highly doubt he'll break up with you over that. The guy's crazy about you. Hell, he adopted a kid with you. I know it sucks but things don't always turn out how you want. Besides you're not sure if you can't have kids yet. Go and find out with him, he loves you I swear. Even blind people can see that." I chuckled a bit.
"Thanks Louis, I will be crushed though if I can't have kids, cause I want to know how it feels like to be pregnant. I always imagined it."
"I know love, but first you have to be sure before you give up. I know you're scared to find out but you have to. So you can assure yourself first. Besides there are many treatments you can do nowadays."
"Yeah you're right, thanks Louis." I said hugging him.
"Now, go talk to Liam and tell me how it goes. If Liam doesn't want to come with you or something tell me and I'll come with you. But I highly doubt that." He said smiling at me.
I nodded and smiled at him. "Now go" He kissed my forehead and I kissed his cheek thanking him again, then I went to face Liam.
I found him in the living room, with his head in his hands and Niall and Harry were rubbing his back.
"Liam ?" I croaked out. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. Niall and Harry stood up leaving us alone. I couldn't stand seeing him like his. I hugged him tightening my grip around his torso and he did the same. We cried on each other's shoulder. After a while I said 'I'm sorry Liam, I really am.' He pulled away and looked at me dead in the eye.
"No, don't apologize. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked."
"You were only looking out for me. I'm sorry I ran away but I'm scared."
"I will be there with you, no need to be scared."
"What if I can't have kids, Liam ? I'm pretty sure you need to be having your period to have kids. I can't even give you that, you have to find someone who can."
"No, I will never find anyone else. I don't care if you can't have kids, we'll adopt."
"I want to know what it feels like to be pregnant but I don't think I will ever experience that. I'm sorry that I can't even give you that." I sobbed harder. I feel like I disappointed him.
"Listen to me, there are various ways which we can try. I promise you that we'll try everything. But you can't assume the worst when we don't know exactly what's going on. I know you're scared to find out but I will be there with you." He said kissing my forehead.
"Thanks Liam." I chocked out. "Of course love. I'm always here for you."
"I love you"
"I love you too Amy" He kissed me and hugged me. We stayed there cuddling until I felt better.
------ 2 days later ------
We are currently at the specialist to see what's wrong with me. I'm really nervous, the boys and Emily came to support me. They are going to wait in the waiting room until the appointment's finished. Liam will be with me the whole time.
"Amy Rodriguez ?" A nurse asked. We stood up and followed her into the office after hugging the boys and Emily.
"Hello I'm doctor Rivers, you must be Amy." We shook hands and introduced ourselves.
"What seems to be the problem ?"
"Well I'm going to be 19 soon and I have never had my period yet. I would like to know why." I said shaking.
"Lay down over here and we will do an ultrasound." She said. I did as I was told and pulled up my shirt. She hovered around my lower stomach with a wand after putting gel on the area to see what's wrong.
"Everything seems normal. It could be that you will soon have your first period actually. I will schedule you an appointment for 4 months and we can go from there. But from the looks of it you will soon have your first period. No need to worry about anything." She said cleaning my lower stomach.
"Thanks" I said relieved. She scheduled an appointment for the 17th of December, perfect because we will be back from tour. We left and the boys cheered and hugged me when we told them.
------ 2 weeks later -----
Mine and Liam's birthday's were amazing. They threw me a surprise party like the one I did for Liam. It was the best birthday ever. Liam got me a charm bracelet with 3 charms, one of them was a heart with an A, the other had and L and the other had and E which was from Emily.The boys did the same with their names. I had never taken off the necklace that Liam gave me when he asked me to be his girlfriend and I'm not planning on taking this one off either. Except for showering.
We are currently at the airport waiting for a plane to take us to America, we are starting in L.A. by recording some stuff and have a couple of concerts. Emily was so excited when we told her we were going on tour.
I will be homeschooling her on the bus. She has tried writing her name and succeeded with my help. She picks up rather fast, I think she will do good in school.
"Mommy can I dwaw pweese ?" She loves coloring so much.
"Not now sweetie maybe later, we are going on the plane soon." She cheered. It's her first plane ride.
"Flight 183 now boarding" Some intercom said.
"Let's go princess." I picked her up and gave the air hostess the tickets. The boys following with Freddie.
We settled down and after take off everyone fell asleep. An hour before landing we ate and then by 4pm we were all settled in our hotel room. Since we will be recording for a few days. The concert is on Saturday and today's Monday, we have time off on Thursday and Friday and rehearses Saturday morning. Today is a free day and I'm glad because we're exhausted.
Everyone fell asleep then we met for dinner and then watched some movies until drifting off to sleep.
This morning I got Emily and I ready and we all went to the studio. Me and the boys took turns watching Emily and Freddie while one of us was recording. In the afternoon we went to Nando's and then went to the hotel. Me, Emily and Liam went to the pool for some family time. I dressed Emily in one of her Dora swimsuits that she got for her birthday and I wore a lime bikini.
"You look hot in that babe" Liam whispered in my ear. I blushed red cause I'm very insecure.
"You don't look too bad yourself." I said. We kissed then went to the pool.
"Mummy, mummy, wimming" She's so cute. It's her first time swimming. She has frozen armbands to help her float.
"Okay okay, calm down. Let's go." Liam picked her up and we went to the edge. Before I could reach the stairs Liam pushed me. He stood there laughing. I was struggling to keep to the surface. I guess he forgot that I can't swim.
"Oh god Amy." That's when he started panicking. I reached the railing and held on to it. He bombarded me with questions.
"I'm fine Liam. Just don't do that again, I can't swim remember ?" I said reassuring him. I took Emily from him so he could jump in. Once he did he came up to me.
"Are you sure you're okay ?" He's so caring.
"Yes I'm fine" I placed Emily in the water holding her with one hand while holding onto the rail with the other. She started giggling and splashing in the water.
"Here hold on to me" I gripped on Liam's bicep and he took Emily.It was like all three of us were cuddling in the water. He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder.
"Someone likes swimming" I said poking Emily's nose. She splashed more and we laughed. Liam kissed me.
"I love you and I'm sorry I did that. I'm such a jerk. First I forgot your birthday then I almost drowned you."
"Stop beating yourself up Liam, I love you too." We kissed again until Emily splashed water in our face yelling 'PDA'. I wonder were she got that from.
"Someone has been spending too much time with Uncle Louis" I said as me and Liam laughed.
We played for a while with Emily in the pool and then went back to our room and took showers to wash the chlorine off. We then joined the boys and went out to dinner.
When we got back I put Emily to sleep since tomorrow is another day at the studio.
