Two weeks later

Well it’s been two weeks since the ultrasound and we’re all packed up and the moving guys are progressively getting everything moved from my apartment and Niall’s house to our new house in Oxford, England. Not too far from London but far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

“Ms. Payne where would you like up to set the chaise lounge?” one of the movers ask me

“That will go in Niall’s office, down the hall and to the right. Third door on the left.” I tell him

Penny our designer is here today too finishing up on the nursery. She’s been locked in there for hours. I have to say if what she is doing with the nursery is anything like what she had done with Hadleigh and Everlee’s rooms it will look amazing.

Penny went above and beyond anything I would have expected for all of the bedrooms in the house. Hadleigh’s room is a princess theme; The walls are painted a lavender with baby pink curtains, and a baby pink canopy over her Cinderella inspired bed frame. It’s in the shape of the carriage the pumpkin turns into. Penny put a super cute victorian style vanity set in her room along with a mini chandelier and accent wall hangings to set the mood. The ceiling is painted a darker purple so when the lights are turned off it looks like a starry night sky.

For Everlee’s room Penny went with a chic cowgirl kind of theme i think. She has a little rustic four poster bed with pink and purple horse bedding. The walls are painted like a country scene, rolling grassy hills and in one of the corners there’s a big tree with a tire swing. The ceiling has a shelf that goes all the way around with little ceramic horses on it, it also has a back lighting with a dimmer switch. Her ceiling is painted like a normal blue sky with some fluffy white clouds but when the lights are shut off it’s the same as Haddie’s room it turns into a starry night sky but the clouds glow in the dark. The best part about Everlee’s room is the little playhouse that’s built like a little horse stall, equipped with a life size stuffed pony and everything you would need to take care of it.

Niall’s office/ recording studio has been sound proofed and set to the nines with everything he needs to record and write for his album. Our bedroom is my favorite though, Penny took out the small window facing the woods and made a whole half rounded wall nothing but a huge window. We have gorgeous cherry wood flooring with a small step up to where the window is. In the circular area of the window Penny has put a giant round bed with huge pillars on each side with built in shelves. The shading for the window is an electric sheer curtain. Our walls are a dark red and our bed has a lucious black silk bed sheets and a black and red lace comforter. It’s a very romantic setting. Enough with our bedrooms though. Tonight is the revel party and Penny is going to show us the nursery she has been working on for weeks now.

Niall and my parents come to town and all of the guys come over with the kids and we all have dinner. Annie and Z didn’t make it though because she is too sick to leave the house. After dinner we give a tour of the new house.

“This is my room nanny.” Hadleigh says to my mum

“Wow baby this looks amazing” she says to her

“Look at you climbing the ladder of success.” Summer whispers into my ear

She’s been studying abroad in Italy this past year. I can’t believe how grown up she has gotten these past five years.

“The nursery is ready!” Everyone hears Penny shout

Everyone makes their way to the end of the hallway upstairs where our room is but gather in front of the door across from ours, Niall and I in front.

“Ok i’ve been working really hard on this room and I hope you really love it” Penny says before moving to the side.

We all walk into the room; the walls are painted a sandlewood beige color with a white trim It’s a rustic theme so there are little arrows on the wall and a small tee pee in the corner. and two solid oak cribs side by side one with green checkered bedding and the other with blue checkered bedding. In another corner is a rocking chair and a diaper changing table sits along the left wall. In the middle of between the two cribs is a fake bear skin rug.

“OH MY GOD!” I shout covering my mouth

I look to my right and see two ultrasound pictures blown up that say I’m a boy. Niall grabs me and hugs me tightly, while everyone else is congratulating us.

“Penny, why… why are there two cribs?” I ask still crying

“That’s the second surprise, You my dear are having identical twin boys” she says

I stand there in shock, having one boy is miracle enough for me but two, I can’t believe it. I look to my side but Niall isn’t there so I turn around to face everyone else who is crying just as much as I am.

“Where’s Niall?” I stutter

Everyone parts to one side and Niall is on one knee in the hallway, my heart jumps into my throat.

“Niall what are you doing?” I say

“Bailey i’ve loved you for so long, We’ve been through hell and back. I love Haddie like she is my own, and now that we are going to be bringing two baby boys into the world I only think it’s right for all of us to have the same last name. Bailey will you marry me?” He asks me

I stand there in awe before shaking my head violently yes.

“Yes! Absolutley, I’ve waited for this day for so long” I cry into his shoulder as we hug each other tightly.

“How are we all going to have the same last name? Hadleigh is Liam’s and she has his last name.” I say


“I took care of that myself, see Liam doesn’t care about you and he has barely made an effort to see her.” He hands me an affidavit for adoption and another paper for parental rights termination with Liam’s signature on it.

“Liam signed away his rights to Hadleigh and now I want to adopt her. She deserves to be a Horan just as much as you. So If you’ll let me I’d like to adopt Hadleigh” Niall says to me

I look up to him ugly crying by this point and kiss him fiercely.

“Lets ask her” I say

“Haddie come her baby.” I motion for her to come

“Yeah mummy?” she says

“How would you like Niall to adopt you and be your daddy forever and ever?” I ask her

She hesitates for a second before answering me.

“But daddy Niall has always been my daddy mummy.” I start to bawl when she says that.

“I take that as a yes then” I look up to him.

“Mummy, does that mean that I won’t see daddy and Karlea anymore then too?” Hadleigh asks me

“If you want to see them you can, nobody is going to stop you from seeing them if you’d like” I tell her

“No, I don’t want to, he was mean to you and he was mean to me. I don’t like him” she tells me

“So it’s set then we will officially be the Horan’s” Niall tells everyone
