When we arrive to the hospital and ask where Liam has been taken a nurse at the front desk directs us to the surgery waiting area.

“C’mon Bails lets go” I pull her arm as we wind down the long hallways

We find the surgery waiting area where Zayn, Karen and Liam’s sisters are waiting.

“How is he?” Bailey asks staring at Karen

She doesn’t say anything just glares at Bailey and I.

“Mrs. Payne How’s Liam?” she asks again

Karen doesn’t answer and neither does either of his sisters.

“Bailey, you are technically still his wife so you could just go ask the nurses station yourself” Niall tells me

I turn to look at him and grab hold of his hand as we walk over to the desk together.

“Hi, I am Liam Payne’s wife. I need to know how he is doing, can you please tell me?” I ask the nurse politely

“Mr. Payne, lets see; he is in surgery currently to close the wounds. He lost a lot of blood but he is expected to be in surgery for the next few hours” the lady tells us.

Niall and I go back to the waiting room and sit with Zayn for the next two hours. I call Hendryx and Harry to find out how they are doing with the girls and to see how Annie is feeling as well, she is due to have the twins in just two short months and after tonight’s events I can only imagine how stressed out she is.

After two hours the doctor finally comes out to speak with us all.

“Mrs. Payne can I have a word please?” the tall dark haired man says

Karen and I both get up and walk over to the doctor.

“Oh I’m sorry I’m looking for Mr. Payne’s wife, I need to speak with her alone for just a moment” he says

I raise my hand “That would be me” I say

I follow the doctor to a small room and he shuts the door behind us.

“Take a seat Mrs. Payne. My name is Dr. Becker” he sticks his hand out for me to shake

“I’d like to let you know that Mr. Payne is in recovery right now but the next 48 hours will be very crucial. He lost a lot of blood and he cut through a major artery in his neck but we got it repaired and he has a lot of stitches so he will be extremely sore for the next day or so”

I sit in silence so I can process everything that the doctor is telling me.

“Ok, but he is going to be alright though?” I ask

“Yes, he should make a full recovery but like I said the next 48 hours are going to be the most critical.”

Relief washes over me as I get up and say thank you to Dr. Becker and go back out to the waiting area. I motion for Zayn and Niall to follow me while Liam’s mom and sisters go in to speak with the doctor now.

“well what did the doctor say?” Zayn asks

I told them both everything the doctor told me and told them that we could go home so his mom and sisters could have time with him. I’ll come up with the rest of the boys tomorrow to visit. When we get back to the hotel Zayn, Niall and I go up to our rooms. I go to check on the girls but they are fast asleep on the pull out in Harry and Hendryx’s room.

“It’s ok Bails you can leave them here for tonight, go get some rest yeah” Harry hugs me

“Thank you H. I’ll be down in the morning with Niall to get the girls” I tell him

“Ok sounds good, see you in the morning” Harry hugs me goodnight

I go back to mine and Liam’s room and walk into what looks like the set of a Freddy Krueger movie. There is blood all over the floors and walls. Bloody towels strewn all over the bathroom and the red, blood filled water in the jacuzzi.

I get Hadleigh’s suit case along with mine and go up to the 35th floor and find my way to Niall’s room. I knock lightly as I feel a single tear fall down my cheek. Niall opens the door wearing nothing but a pair of grey boxers. He grabs me and pulls me close to him hugging me hard. When he pushes me away he grabs my face in his hands and kisses me with enough passion to last a life time. I drop the suitcases I was holding and put my arms around his neck, twisting my fingers into his hair. After a minute or so we break apart and I follow him into his room. I drop the cases beside the door and follow Niall to the bathroom.

“I had a feeling you would come up here so I filled up the jacuzzi and put on your favorite jazz music and found those rose scented candles you love so much” Niall tells me
I turn to look at him “Thank you”

Niall moves closer to me and grabs the hem of the shirt I’m wearing and pulls it up over my head. He lets it fall to the floor before reaching behind me and unclasping my bra; that too he lets fall to the floor. I stand there with my top half naked and cold. Niall places small kisses down my neck, across my throat, down the front of my chest until he reaches right about my navel. He gently peels down the sweat pants I’m wearing along with the red lace underwear as well. He stands back up and presses his lips to mine feverishly, teasing me.

“Get in the tub” his voice is husky

I do what he asks and climb into the nice hot jacuzzi, I let the water and bubbles splash over my naked body.

“Hey, your turn” I say

Niall looks at me confused.

“My turn for what?” he raises a brow

“Get in”
