Chapter 19
She couldn’t be gone, but she was. I could felt the other boys trying to snap me out of my sobs, but they couldn’t. I just continued to scream and cry as I sat on the floor next to the hospital bed. I felt the hand that was on mine give it a little squeeze. The squeeze was so gentle that I almost didn’t feel it, but I had. It was a squeeze that was way too weak to belong to any of the guys.
I slowly lifted my gaze until it landed on my hand. A small hand was placed on it. I turned to look up and I felt my heart skip a beat. Sarah was lying there, looking down at me. I now realized that the guys were yelling at me that she was alive and I needed to look up.
Sarah was alive. She had just been dead moments ago, but now she was alive. I felt a smile come to my face as I threw my arms around her. She giggled a little.
“Doctor!” I heard Zayn shouting in the hallway, “Doctor! She’s alive!”
The sound of running feet filled the room as the doctor and nurses rushed in. They stared at Sarah in wonder as I continued to hug her.
“It’s a miracle.” The doctor mumbled.
“Yeah,” one of the nursed added in.
As soon as I released Sarah from her hug, the others were over at her side. One by one, they each gave her a long hug. When they were done, her eyes landed on me. I smiled at her and she smiled back. I could not believe that this was happening. Sarah had come back from the dead. It was as the doctor had said, it was a miracle. And it was a miracle that I was thankful for.
