Chapter 13
Yesterday could have been a better day. It hadn’t taken Niall ten minutes to come down with food poisoning and force us to go back to our place. We were all upset that we had to leave, but we knew it wasn’t a good idea to leave him there, so we all loaded him in the van and the others headed back. I walked over to my car, turning back to see Sarah in the door way.
“Are you sure you don’t need me to run to the store for you?” I called over to her.
She smiled and waved, “I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so,” I waved back as I slid into my car. “I’ll see you later.”
She smiled as I pulled my car up in front of her. I leaned over toward her, “Love you.”
She leaned into my car, “Love you too.”
Then I pulled away from the curb and headed after the others. It seemed as if there were no red lights at all now. It aggravated me about how many caught me this morning on my way to see Sarah, but on my way home I was home free.
My phone began to go off again. I debated for a moment whether to answer it or not, but decided that I should.
“Hello?”
“Hey, where you at?”
I sighed, “On my way. Calm down Louis.”
“Okay,” he said, “Cause Niall is in the bathroom right now and he is blowing chunks. He is really bad. Can you stop on the way over and grab him some soup or something to eat when his stomach settles some?”
I nodded, “Yeah, I can do that.”
I flipped on my blinker as I switched lanes to head to the store. “I’ll see you guys when I get there.”
“Oh,” Louis cut in before I could hang up, “Liam said we need some milk too.”
I sighed, “Fine. Later.” and I hung up before they could all start reading off a list of things that they wanted me to get at the store. They had done that to me too many times for me to fall for it again.
It took me about twenty minutes to get the soup and milk before I made it back to our flat. Niall was still in the bathroom and from what I could hear, he still wasn’t doing that great.
My phone started to go off again. “Hello?”
“Hey did you get back okay?”
“Yeah,” I leaned forward in my seat, “Sorry, the guys had me pick up some things before I got back.
“It’s okay,” she started, “I was just starting to worry about you is all.”
“Well, I’m okay sweetie.”
I could hear her smile, “Okay, tell the others I say later and hope Niall gets better.”
“Okay, I will. Love you.” I smiled.
“Love you too.” I heard my phone go off as she hung up. I smiled at my phone before pushing it back into my pocket.
“Sweetie?”
I looked up to see the guys all looking at me with funny faces. They were all trying not to laugh at me. I could feel my face redden a little as their laughter broke. Oh, this was going to be fun.
