Chapter 14
I laid in my bed and stared at the ceiling, waiting on the reply to my good morning text. I had decided to go see her today, but I wanted to wait until I was sure that she was awake. I could hear the guys starting to move around, all but the little snores coming from somewhere else in the flat. I, however, just continued to stare at the ceiling and let my mind wonder.
“When you’re out touring the world, don’t you forget me.” I could hear her voice in my head as my mind flashed back. I was on a laptop, video chatting with Sarah. She had recently moved into her flat and was doing well. I had just been signed with One Direction by Simon after we had lost on the X-Factor. I had called her to give her the news.
“I can’t believe it.” She had smiled, “Now don’t you let that go to head, you hear me? I don’t want one of those famous jackasses as my best friend.”
I laughed at her, “Don’t worry, this is a jackass free zone.” I had made a little square in front of my face. Sarah laughed at it.
“Good,” she smiled.
We had been talking for a while before the others started to get curious of my absence. I had snuck away to my room so that I could talk to Sarah in private. She laughed as she could hear them yelling for me, especially Louis’s crazy comments. That was when she had said it.
“When you’re out touring the world, don’t you forget me.”
I turned back to the computer screen and looked at her. I could tell that she was being serious. I gave her a soft smile.
“I couldn’t forget you,” I had told her. I had been telling her the truth. There was no way that I could ever forget Sarah, she had been the best friend I could have ever asked for since I was six.
“Good,” she replied as her smile came back to her face. “Well, I guess I’ll let you get back with the other guys.”
“Yeah,” I said. I really didn’t want to end our chat, but I knew she was right. I just missed being able to hang out with my best friend.
“Let’s talk again soon,” I smiled at her.
She smiled back, “Yeah. I like that. Later, Harry.”
“Later, Sarah.”
And just like that, our conversation had ended. It was only moments later that the guys found me and came barging into the room. They started asking me twenty questions about what I had been doing and why I hadn’t answered them, but I never answered them.
“Hey, you awake?”
I snapped out of my thoughts to see Liam’s head peeking into my room. I blinked a few times as I turned to him. “Yeah.”
“Well, the boys and I were wanting to head out for some grub. You want to come with us?”
I shook my head, “No thanks. I’m going to go over to Sarah’s in a while.”
“Oh okay,” Liam said as he started back out of my room. I could hear him going out into the living room as he told the others that I wasn’t going with them.
Another head suddenly popped into my room, “Behave while we’re gone.” They chuckled as they ran away. I felt my face redden as everyone started laughing.
“Niall!” I yelled after him as I jumped out of bed to get him back.

“I couldn’t forget you,” I had told her. I had been telling her the truth. There was no way that I could ever forget Sarah, she had been the best friend I could have ever asked for since I was six.
“Good,” she replied as her smile came back to her face. “Well, I guess I’ll let you get back with the other guys.”
“Yeah,” I said. I really didn’t want to end our chat, but I knew she was right. I just missed being able to hang out with my best friend.
“Let’s talk again soon,” I smiled at her.
She smiled back, “Yeah. I like that. Later, Harry.”
“Later, Sarah.”
And just like that, our conversation had ended. It was only moments later that the guys found me and came barging into the room. They started asking me twenty questions about what I had been doing and why I hadn’t answered them, but I never answered them.

“Well, the boys and I were wanting to head out for some grub. You want to come with us?”
I shook my head, “No thanks. I’m going to go over to Sarah’s in a while.”
“Oh okay,” Liam said as he started back out of my room. I could hear him going out into the living room as he told the others that I wasn’t going with them.
Another head suddenly popped into my room, “Behave while we’re gone.” They chuckled as they ran away. I felt my face redden as everyone started laughing.
