It's complicated

Niall's POV

She was gorgeous, perfect even. When I saw her I froze. I felt like I couldn't breath and couldn't move. She wasn't skinny and that's what made her more perfect. Her body had amazing curves. She didn't have a thy gap and she didn't have a flat stomach. In societies eyes she's the opposite of society but you know what? Society is fucked up. You don't have a flat stomach to be beautiful or a thy gap or anything like that. She was perfect just like that. I wouldn't change her for anything.

I haven't known her for very long but I can tell she's one of the nicest people in the world. She has the biggest heart and always puts herself last. It breaks my heart to know how much shit she has been threw and all the shit she still puts up with. I wish I could make it all better. I wish I could make it all go away but I don't know how.

When we got to her house I could tell that she was really struggling financially as well. I would give her all of my money but I know she would never except it. She not the kind of person who would take anything from anyone even if they didn't need it and she desperately did. She's that kind pf a person, generous, nice, compassionate, beautiful..... I need to stop. I can't do this to Celine. We are getting married in a couple months. I could never cheat on her or have another thought about a woman. I promised her that when I proposed to her.

It took everything in me to get up and go upstairs and leave her down there with him, but he's unconscious. He can't hurt her. Right?

I started throwing everything into a bag so I could go down there. I felt sick when I thought of her getting hurt. When he hurt her I wanted to kill him so bad. I've never been so mad. My breathing was still erratic. I needed to calm down.

There are pictures of Elizabeth when she was a baby and with her mom and dad. I cringe at a picture of Lizzie and Caitlin, but Caitlin has welts on her arm and a bruise that they tried to hide with a scarf. Why did they even bother taking pictures of them? Were they pretending like they were a happy family? Did they send this to people? Maybe they sent it to his family. Probably because apparently she has no contact with hers anymore. That must be hard. Another shitty thing added to the list of shittyness that she has to put up with.

"Niall!" She interrupted my thoughts. I grabbed the bags and ran down the stairs, almost falling.

"What's wrong?" I panicked.

"He got up and moved so I thought he was awake but he laid back down again. Sorry, he scared me." She whispered. She looked distant and sad. Rightfully so. Her daughter is dying and having surgery right now and there's only a 50% chance she'll live. When she looked up at me, her eyes are red and puffy. She looks defeated. I almost started crying at the sight.

"I got her bag. We can go now." I tried to smile. She nodded her head. I put the bag on my shoulder and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around my waist making it easier for me to carry her. I love how comfortable she already was with me. She wrapped her arms around neck. She rested her forehead on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered and almost kissed her forehead but I quickly stopped myself.

"For what?" She asked. Her voice is barely a whisper.

"Everything you have to go threw. I wish I could make it stop." I admitted.

"It's okay." She sighed as I set her down in the passenger seat. I got in on the drivers side. By the time we got on the freeway she was asleep. She looked so troubled. My heart hurt for her.

The drive felt like hours, there was awful traffic. There was some accident. We were stopped in the same place for at least 10 minutes. I got my phone out and started texting Harry.

To Harry:
We are stuck in traffic. She's asleep. When we were at her house her ex-husband and he hurt her and I wanted to kill him.

From Harry:
How'd he hurt her???

To Harry:
He threw a beer bottle at her leg. I got the glass out, but she's gonna need stitches.

From Harry:
That bastard!

To Harry:
Ikr! It took everything in me not to kill him! Her face broke my heart when she saw him. She looked so sad mixed with anger, remorse, and defeat. I felt like I could cry.

From Harry:
Ooooohhhh seems like someone has a crush! Do you like her? She's pretty and seems nice.

To Harry:
I'm engaged to Celine.

From Harry:
That didn't answer my question. Do you like her?

To Harry:
I don't really know. I think I'm just getting nervous about the wedding.

From Harry:
Sure ;)

To Harry:
Shut up

"No! Stop please! Don't let Lizzy see please." Caitlin yelled.

"Caitlin. Caitlin! Wake up!" I shook her. She jumped and looked up at me. Her hair and forehead were drenched in sweat and tears stained her cheeks. "Are you okay?"

She took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah I get them all the time. I'm used to it." She said scooting closer to the door.

"I'm sorry." I didn't know what else to say.

"Please I don't want your pity." She whispered.

Now I really don't know what to say. I think it's best to stay quiet right now.

Sorry it's been a while. Hope you guys like it! Have you guys heard Niall's new song? It's my new favorite song. I've listened to it a million times. It came out when I was at lunch at school and I kinda flipped lol.
