Chapter Eight - Dot
She took a deep breath, “Have fun.” She smiled and walked out of the room, Tiger following her out.
I saw Dot and my first thought was that she was gorgeous. Then Jordan said she was our babysitter. Hell no. Not happening. First, I was 21 years old. Second, she the one that’s insane, not us. And third, I can't hit on my ‘babysitter’, can I?
“We don't need a babysitter.” I hated Jordan for even thinking we needed one.
Why did Jordan have to win? I mean there were billions of other people that entered the online contest. Why did she, the one teenage girl that doesn't like us, have to win? I don't know. I mean seriously. At least Dot was cute. I’m hoping she was a Louis girl. Did I just say that? Shit, I think I just did. I mean, I could flirt with her right? I'm single. I did meet this one girl, Eleanor, but we only went one date. It's not serious, right? Yeah. I'm single. I can flirt with Dot.
I felt something brush against my knee and snapped out of my thoughts. I quickly glanced around and noticed that Jordan had left, and by the looks of it, Tiger had gone with her. Then I looked at Dot. She was sitting right next to Harry. She was looking him, she is a Harry's girl. For sure. Damn it! Why does he get all the girls! Why is Harry even letting her do that? I thought we were going to start researching Joran in an interview, that was his idea! Wait. We should interrogate Dot, to find out more on her and Jordan.
“So…” Way to make it awkward Dot, “What do you kids want to do while mommys working?” Great more sarcasm, like we didn't get our daily dose of it from Jordan already.
“Funny,” I rolled my eyes, “What about twenty questions? So we can get to know you a bit better.”
“Sounds great!" Dot was so cheerful. How could her and Jordan be friends? They were so different.
"I'll go first!" Was she always smiling?
"Alright," Liam looked her in the eyes, as if he was studying her, "what's your favorite artist or band?"
"TLC!" She covered her mouth right after she shouted it out, it was like she thought we would get offended. I snickered at the idea of us being offended. I think she thought I was laughing at her answer. Damn it Louis, why are you so bad at this?
"What's so funny?" She was so cute. Focus!
"Nothing," why was I blushing? "Just lost in thought."
"Next question!" Niall seemed to match with Dot's energy, "what does TLC stand -"
“It's stands for their names T-Boz, Chilli, and Left Eye. R.I.P.” She whispered the last part under her breath. “But it can also mean Tender Loving Care, or it could mean Total Lost Cause. Depends on how you use it.” This girl knows her stuff. I also have a feeling that Jordan thinks of us like the last version of TLC.
“How long have you and Jordan been friends?” Maybe she will tell us a little bit about Jordan too.
“We've been friends ever since I moved in across the street. I mean, she had no one left and I hated seeing her depressed, so one day I came over with ice cream and we just kinda been friends since then.” Wait Jordan was depressed? That explains the pills and a lot more.
“Are you a fan of One Direction?” Zayn, I love you buddy, but that was a stupid question.
“Of course!” Well at least she was, “Didn't you guys not hear me freaking out?”
“Nope, but I think we’re starting to go deaf from the crowds.” Liam said matter-of-factly.
“I think that just in your head, but you never know.” Okay then…
“Next question. Out of us five,” Niall is wearing a mischievous smirk, this isn't good, “who would you go out with?” Fuck you Niall. Fuck. You.
“Uh…” Great she was hesitant, she probably thought we were a bunch of snobby weirdos, “None of you.” The fuck. “I just met all of you, so I don't know what your personality is like, or what common interest we share, so I wouldn't date any of you.” Yes. I have a chance. For once Harry won't get the girl.
I glanced at Harry. He was flabbergasted. I don't think a girl has ever not wanted him. Ever. Sucker. Wait what was I saying? Harry is my best mate, I'm not going to let some girl ruin our friendship. Bros before hoes, that is.
I had been to lost in my own thoughts to notice that the boys had asked Dot the rest of the question. I had just snapped out in time to hear Dot say,
“Alright, Louis it's your turn.” Oh god, nothing too bad please, “What is your favorite punk rock band?”
Now some people might think this question was easy and has no harm. That is true. The only problem is I don't listen to any “punk rock” bands.
“Um…” How to put this nicely, “I don't really listen to punk rock.”
Her expression turned to a mix of disappointment, shock, and confusion.
“Then what the hell do you listen to?”
“Whatever's on the radio, I guess.”
She stood up and left Some babysitter.
