Harry's Journal (Book 3 in the No Control series)

Alice wipes away the stray tear from her cheek. She glances out the window, spotting Harry pacing around the garden. Her heart goes out to her friend. Not only is he in love with a woman who is already taken, but she is taken by his friend. Kind hearted Harry, trying so desperately not to hurt anyone, tearing himself apart instead.

Harry strolls through the garden, not yet ready to return inside. He just can’t bare to face his friend and her inevitable questions. He doesn’t need to re-read the journal page from that day. He’ll never forget a detail from the day he told Lizzie he loved her. She was wearing jeans that hugged her curves nicely, with a green blouse that brought out her eyes. Her hair was so soft as he ran his fingers through it. When he kissed her, the taste of her lips overwhelmed him. Later, in his car, he’d looked in the mirror, realizing traces of her lipstick remained on his mouth. He wiped it off, then sat staring at her favorite shade of lipstick, now stained on the white napkin in his hand.
Reaching into his pocket now, Harry pulls out two items. One is the lipstick stained napkin, he carries it with him always. The second is a well worn journal page. This one being far too private to share with Alice. Harry slowly unfolds it and begins to read.

*Journal Page*
Today I’m back in LA. Two days ago I told Lizzie I loved her. I half expected a visit from Liam by now. I’m guessing Lizzie didn’t tell him. I haven’t heard from her either; not that I expected to.
When I kissed Lizzie, I thought it would help me to move on; aid in my getting over her. Instead it’s only fueled my desire for her.
Last night I had the most realistic dream about us. As strange as it may be, I want to write it down here. It hurts, yet I never want to forget a detail.

Lizzie and I were in Northern California. We were staying in a beautiful victorian house, surrounded by vineyards. It was a cold, rainy day. We were sat on the couch, in front of a roaring fire. Lizzie took my hand; entwining her fingers with mine. Then I swear I could literally feel her other hand resting on my cheek, as she moved in for a kiss. We shared sweet, gentle kisses. Then Lizzie moved to straddle me, our kisses becoming more passionate as I pushed her hair back from her beautiful face.
Lizzie removed her shirt, smirking as she caught me admiring her abundant chest. Somewhere in my subconscious, I believed that my hands really were gliding all over her incredible body, as she moved against me.
Lizzie whispered in my ear. “Take me to bed, Harry.”
I grabbed the back of her thighs, lifting her to me as I stood. We continued to kiss as I carried her to the bedroom.
I undressed, climbed into the bed, watching as Lizzie slowly finished undressing.
She’s so beautiful; I began kissing every inch of her. The farther down I went, she began screaming out my name, her body shuddering with pleasure. It thrilled me to see how responsive her body was to my touch.
As I joined us together, Lizzie sucked in a breath, and I paused. Paused...to revel in that moment...Lizzie and I were finally one. Just her and I, connected in the most incredible way. The love I feel for this amazing woman crowding my heart.
She moaned as I began to move inside her. I joined her with breathless versions of her name as she exploded around me.
After, I gathered her in my arms, pulling her close to me, laying skin to skin.

...And then...I woke up...
