Love is an Act of War
Chapter Eighteen.
I finish packing my back pack full of shit when Calum walks in the room.
"Hey." He says, stuffing his hands in his black pockets.
"Hi." I reply flatly, slinging the backpack over my shoulder.
"So.. You're leaving?" He asks.
"I wanted you to come too." I sigh.
"But. You're leaving with Luke.. What, are you guys a thing now." He asks, shrugging.
"No, no we aren't a thing." I say, walking over to him, "WE'RE a thing. I don't understand why you can't trust me on this." I say, my eyes wandering all over his body.
"I do trust you. But I can't leave the rest of them." He says. I nod slightly.
"Okay. I get it." I smile weakly, "See ya, Calum."
"See ya A." He says quietly. I don't kiss him goodbye or anything. Like I said a while ago, I'm not that touchy feel-y. I just walk out with Luke.
And that was that, I guess.
I see Michael and Ashton walking up the to door and I turn around, "What are you doing?" I ask.
"Getting revenge." Ashton smirks. My eyes widen and I look at Luke.
"Calum." I run after them into the house, where Ashton is holding a fucking gun to Calum. "Let him go, Ashton." I say. Don't. Don't do this. Dammit it's not Calum's fucking fault!
"Why should I?" He smiles, waiting for an answer. But I just stand there like an idiot. His grip tightens on the trigger, and without thinking about anything but Calum, I jump in front of him.
Bang.
