Harry's P.O.V

''I don't know how to explain this to her, Natalie'' I let out a sigh, ''she'll understand sooner or later, and when she sees this ring she will be blown away'' Natalie smiled as she wrapped the ring up. I smiled looking down at the ring, the ring that soon hopefully would be placed at Lucy's finger. When I decided I was going to propose to her about a month ago I got so nervous. I can barely talk to her, I'm just so nervous about asking her to marry me. I mean, I haven't been more sure of something my whole life, but the whole thing is just nerve wrecking.

When I got home a day later Lucy was sitting in the living room watching tv. She barely gave me a look when I sat down beside her. ''So this girl Natalie who answered my phone yesterday, I hired her for this thing regarding One Direction's break. Sorry if I freaked you out'' I nudged her arm ''that's okay'' she said, still not looking at me. Something was different, she was acting cold towards me. ''So what did you do last night?'' I tried to ignore the fact that she was acting weird ''uh, I had dinner with Niall. Fell asleep early'' she said quickly. I nodded, ''so we're leaving for tour in two weeks and I was thinking that maybe you could come on tour with us until Uni starts back up in September?'' she finally met my eyes ''I don't think that's a good idea'' she said and stood up ''I'm going to the gym with Eleanor'' and she was out the door. What is going on?

Lucy's P.O.V

Two weeks later

‘’Do we have to have dinner with them though? Stephanie hates me’’ I pouted only making Harry laugh. ‘’I don’t get what you have against Steph, can’t you just try to be nice? For Niall’s sake, he really likes this girl’’ it wasn't only Steph I had a problem with at this point, I still didn't know whether or not I did had sex with Niall. We had kind of been avoiding each other since that night. It hurts, he's my best friend and now we might have ruined everything. Oh, and I might have cheated on my boyfriend. Your life pretty much rocks, Lucy.‘’I didn’t have anything against her in the beginning, she’s the one who hates me’’ I tried, ‘’She doesn’t hate you Luce, and if she were you should be the bigger person. You know what they say, kill em with kindness’’ Harry was right, but it still made me annoyed. ‘’Zip me up’’ I groaned, Harry walked over to me and zipped up my black dress ‘’why are you still wearing dresses these tight? Can you even breathe in these?’’ ‘’I can handle a little pain for a night, don’t get me started on the length of my heals babe’’.

‘’And that’s when I knew I was in love with my Irish little leprechaun’’ Steph said and I almost spit out my drink, she calls him ‘Leprechaun’? That’s my nickname for Niall. ‘’How romantic. Isn’t it, Lucy?’’ Harry nudged my waist ‘’super romantic, so Stephanie are you applying for Uni or..?’’ I gave her a fake smile, come on Lucy be the bigger person. ‘’Oh god no, I don’t do school’’ she laughed at me like it was the most obvious thing in the world. ‘’Oh but do you at least plan on getting a job?’’ ‘’come on Lucy, easy up with the questions here’’ Niall laughed but gave me a ‘seriously-stop-it-look’. ‘’It’s okay honey, she’s just curious. No, Linda I’m just focusing on mine and Niall’s relationship at the moment’’ did she just call me Linda? ‘’Uh, Lucy?’’ I said with a raised eyebrow ‘’huh?’’ she raised her eyebrows as she sipped on her wine. ‘’You called me Linda’’ ‘’isn’t that your name?’’ she smiled, Harry put his hand on my thigh, I bet he felt the anger build up inside me. This bitch really knew how to piss me off, ‘’that’s okay, everyone makes mistakes. Her name is Lucy’’ Harry smiled ‘’and this is Harry, in case you didn’t know that either, we have after all known each other for two months’’ I gave her another fake smile. ‘’Oh that I know, silly’’ she laughed making me even more annoyed. ‘’Is everyone done? I’m gonna do the dishes’’ I stood up and took everyone's plates before walking out to the kitchen. ‘’Okay Lucy, take a deep breath. Be nice, be the nicest person here. Don’t let her get to you’’ I whispered to myself as I started the washing up. ‘’Sorry if I offended you’’ Stephanie walked in the kitchen and jumped up on a counter, ‘’oh don’t worry about it’’ I smiled. Why is she even in here? ‘’Niall suggested I should go and help you, I don’t do dishes but he doesn’t need to know that’’ she laughed. Wow Niall, you really got yourself a diamond here. ‘’So I’m just curious, you’re dating Harry right?’’ where is she going with this? ‘’uh, you know I am’’ ‘’yeah but he’s so cute’’ she laughed. I really hate her laugh. My look must have said it all ‘’I’m kidding. No but I was wondering, if you’re dating Harry - why have you been flirting with my boyfriend ever since I met you?’’ her tone was suddenly hard. A plate slipped between my hands but I managed to grab it before it broke. ‘’Excuse me?’’ I turned to look at her, ‘’you heard me, bitch’’ ‘’I am most certainly not flirting with him, he’s my best friend that’s how we act towards each other’’ if I wasn’t in complete shock from her question, and what she called me, I wouldn’t have acted so defensive. ‘’If you say so, hun’’ she jumped off the counter and was just about to walk out when I opened my damn mouth, ‘’you know you’re just the rebound from Tess, right?’’ and just as I had finished my sentence Niall and Harry showed up in the doorway. Fuck. I met Niall’s eyes and felt my heart sting as I saw the hurt in his eyes. ‘’Steph go wait in the car, please’’ Niall said calm, she nodded and walked out. ‘’Sorry Ni..I’’ I began but he cut me off ‘’what is your problem?’’ I opened my mouth in shock, his tone was hard and he had never spoken to me like that before. ‘’Nothing...I...I’’m just’’ ‘’you’re just what? Angry that I got a new girlfriend? You know damn well Tess broke MY heart, not the other way around. I thought you wanted me to be happy’’ I jumped at every word he spoke, he sounded so hurt and mad. Before I knew it he was out the door. ‘’Are you gonna yell at me too?’’ I looked at Harry as a single tear escaped my eye, ‘’no, but that was very immature of you to say to Steph. You’ve got some apologizing to do, babe’’ he crossed his arms. No I wasn't only on bad terms with one, but two of the most important boys in my life.

‘’I just don’t get why it has to be that girl, she’s not nice at all’’ I said as Harry jumped in bed beside me, ‘’Lucy, this isn’t about Steph. I think you’re still not over what happened between Tess and Niall’’ I just looked at him, not really knowing how to respond. ‘’I just can’t believe she just left’’ I whispered, ‘’Tess needed to get out of that relationship and she only did what was best for her, I’m not saying she did the right thing by leaving but you can’t blame her’’ his words made sense but it didn’t change anything. ‘’She didn’t just leave Niall, she left us too. Her friends, with no explanation. How could she do that?’’ I breathed, ‘’I don’t know baby, I don’t know’’ he said before starting to rub my back. This was the first deep conversation we had been having in weeks. But I couldn't feel good about it, not when I didn't know if I had cheated or not.
