Lucy's p.o.v

Day three of being sick. How is it possible I feel worse? You're supposed to feel better day three. My fever hasn't gone down and all I do is sleep. Last night I started coughing like hell too. Harry is in here every hour making sure I get some kind of liquid in me so I don't get dehydrated. ''Maybe I should call a doctor? You should be better by now'' Harry looked concerned and I didn't want to worry him. ''It's fine. I think I just need to sleep it off''.

''Harry?'' I tried to yell but my voice wasn't able to. I grabbed my phone and called him instead. ''Lucy?'' he answered ''can you come here?'' I asked and he hung up. He was in our bedroom in two seconds and sat down on the bed. ''Are you feeling better?'' he sounded hopeful. ''A little'' lie. ''What date is it today?'' I asked, ''it's the 13th, why?'' ''fuck. I'm supposed to go to a doctor's appointment with El because Louis is out of town'' I let out a groan. There was no way I could get up from this bed. ''It's fine, I'll go with her'' he kissed my forehead and with that he was gone.

Harry's p.o.v

''I don't know, El. I'm just really worried'' we were sitting in a waiting room waiting for Eleanor's doctor. She was just going to have a routine check up. ''I don't think you should be worried over a cold, Harry'' she smiled trying to calm me, ''thing is you get better within a few days with a cold, she's getting worse'' ''see how she feels tomorrow, if she's not feeling better then you call the doctor. Okay?'' ''okay'' I nodded. ''Eleanor Calder, the doctor is ready to see you now'' a nurse said and El stood up. ''I'll wait out here'' I said, not really comfortable being in an examination room with my best friend's pregnant fiance. I don't know what happens in those rooms. For all I know the doctor might examine her vagina. I'm not gonna..
''Can you come in with me? We're just doing an ultra sound'' I looked up at El with a frown but stood up. ''Of course'' I said and followed her in to the room. ''So Eleanor, how are you feeling? We're in week 25 now aren't we?'' the doctor said ''we are indeed, I'm feeling better now. No morning sickness, my back is killing me though. I have a feeling we're getting a heavy one'' Eleanor smiled. ''That's all normal, dear'' they were talking for a bit about the baby's growth and I couldn't help to imagine Lucy and I being here, looking at our future baby. ''This may be cold, but you're used to it by now'' the doctor spread some liquid on to El's stomach making her flinch. ''You okay?'' I asked her and she nodded with a smile, ''just cold''. A sudden pounding sound filled the room. ''Strong heartbeat for baby Tomlinson today'' the doctor said and I let out a gasp. ''Is that sound the heartbeat?'' I asked, stunned. ''It is, cool huh?'' El said grinning from ear to ear.

''How did it go?'' Lucy asked when I got home, she was still laying in bed. ''It was so cool, I heard the heartbeat and she's growing like she should'' I smiled and lie down beside her.
''How are you feeling? Honest''
''Like absolute death'' she forced a laugh
''I'm sorry, is there anything I can do for you?''
''Well you could let me cuddle with you''
''You don't even have to ask''
I cuddled up behind her and she fell asleep in my embrace. I noticed she was sweating, at least that's a sign of the fever going down. I crawled out of bed without waking her when my phone started ringing. I walked out of the room to answer Niall's call. ''Hey'' I answered, ''hey bro, how's my favorite girl?'' Niall asked, ''dunno, Ni. I'm quite worried, but she's sweating right now so it seems that the fever's going down. I don't know what to do though, I'm not getting her to eat anything she just drinks if I force her'' I let out a sigh. ''Well, you're doing the right thing. We don't want her getting dehydrated. As long as she's drinking I'm sure it's fine. By the way, I'll be flying to London tomorrow'', ''I thought you were coming back Sunday? It's only Friday tomorrow'' ''I know but we all have to be on that meeting tomorrow about your incident at the gym'' ''oh, I'm sorry for ruining your holiday'' ''you're not, don't worry Haz. It's gonna be nice being home again. I gotta go, send Lucy my best. See you tomorrow'' and with that he hung up.

It was Friday morning and I woke up to Lucy getting the chills. ''Baby? You're shaking'' I sat up and she opened her eyes. ''It hurts to breathe'' her voice was so strained. ''Okay, Lucy. I really wanna take you to the doctor now'' she didn't even answer me so I quickly got dressed. I walked over to her, pulled of the covers and helped her up so she was sitting before swinging her legs over the edge. ''Ready to stand?'' I asked and helped her standing but she was so weak I was basically carrying her. ''We need to get to the car'' I mumbled, ''no'' she said ''Harry put me down, I'm gonna pass out'' I put her down in bed again. ''Are you feeling nauseous?'' she shook her head and closed her eyes before taking deep breaths. This really freaked me out. ''I'm gonna call the doctor here instead'' I said and dialed the house doctor that we had had since the beginning of One Direction's career. ''Hi doctor Jacobs, this is Harry Styles'' I said when she answered, ''hello Harry, nice to hear from you'' ''yeah, I was wondering if you could come by the house? Lucy has been having a cold the past week but she hasn't gotten any better, worse actually. And today she has trouble breathing, I tried getting her out of bed to go and see you but she was about to pass out'' ''yes, I'll be there in ten minutes'' she said and hung up.

Doctor Jacobs had been here for half an hour taking tests on Lucy but I wasn't allowed in the room. ''Harry can you come in here?'' she yelled and I stepped inside, ''I want to take her to the clinic and take a blood test'' ''why?'' I asked ''I want to get a second opinion'' she smiled. That's when I knew something was wrong.
