The Hipsters and The Girl
Holy crap, Louis hurry up!
Alex’s POV
“~She said, “I love this song, I’ve heard it before and it stole my heart I know every word,"
She’s gonna dance all night, night, til it hurts
Singing the best song ever, best song ever
So give me your hand
Give me your hand She said this is the best song ever, best song ever~” I sang out while I drove to my moms house with Louis sitting next to me.
His eyes were glued to his phone so I wasn’t worried that my singing would bug him and I was too excited to care. We were going to pick Taylor up from my mom so we could spend the day with him. I was so happy to see my moms house when I turned on to her street. I put the car in park in front of her house and quickly turned it off and got out.
“Holy crap, Louis hurry up!” I almost yelled running up to the front door.
I heard him laugh and chase after me. We both stood on the porch and rang the doorbell, laughing. Dave answered the door with a smile.
“Hey guys, you're early.” He stepped back and let us in.
“Sorry, it’s all her fault. She was super excited to come and get Taylor.” Louis laughed at me.
“I’m sorry that I wanted to come get my little brother.” I looked at him with fake attitude and then looked at Dave. “So how are you today?”
“I’m good, how are you guys?”
“Great!” I smiled looking over to the figure in the doorway.
“Ria!” Taylor’s voice rang out as he started running to me.
“Bug!” I laughed walking over to him and picking him up. “How are you little man?”
“Good.” He smiled before leaning forward to hug me.
“Are the kids here?” My moms voice called out from upstairs before I saw her walk out of room. “Oh hi guys.”
“Hi mom.” I smiled up at her as she trotted down the stairs toward us with a smile.
“You guys ready to take him for the day?” She asked while she put in her earrings.
“Yup.” I smiled looking at Taylor and then at my mom. “What’re you guys doing today?”
“We’re planning events for the concert we’re doing in Illinois. We have a ton of work to do today since we haven't really down much.” Dave rolled his eyes and then looked at my mom while she cleared her throat like “excuse me?” which kind of scared him. “I mean, it’s a really complicated process so it takes a bunch of work.”
“Nice save.” I laughed quietly and then caught my moms death glare. “I mean…Nevermind I don’t care about saving myself.”
She scoffed while Louis and Dave chuckled quietly. Dave high-fived me and my mom finally broke; she laughed too.
“You definitely get your attitude from your dad.” My mom sighed.
“I wouldn’t call that attitude as much as a comeback.” Dave was on my side which bugged my mom.
“Whatever.” She waved us off.
“When should we bring him home?” Louis asked quietly.
“You're staying at your mom’s right?” My mom asked while she brushed out her eyelashes and he nodded. “We can come by tonight around 8:00 if that works for you guys?”
“Uhm?” Louis asked looking at me.
“Actually, we can just keep in touch with you guys because I don’t know what we’re doing today.” I was rambling trying to think of a sentence.
“Alright.” Dave shrugged and handed me a diaper bag. “Here are some of his toys, a change of clothes his animal book and his favorite blanket.”
“Thanks.” I mumbled as I adjusted Taylor and put it on my shoulder. “Are you ready to go little man?”
“Yea!” He clapped in excitement.
“Okay, let’s go then.” I smiled at Louis and he reached his hand out toward the bag so I handed it to him.
“You guys are life savers.” My mom said happily as she kissed my cheek and then hugged Louis.
“Well, we’ll have a good day with little man here while you two have a ‘fun’ day at work.” I side hugged Dave while I said that.
Louis grabbed the carseat and led the way to the car. I played with Taylor’s hands while I walked behind him. He unlocked the car and put Tay’s seat in the middle seat in the back. We buckled him in, made sure he was okay and got into the front seats.
