Alex’s POV

"Sure, I'd love to spend a day with him while I'm here." I nodded and looked down at Taylor. "Alright bug, I gotta go."

"Why?" He frowned.

"I have plans with someone." His arms wrapped around my neck again.

"Take me with you." He pulled himself a little closer.

"I can't bug but guess what?" I asked rubbing his back. "I'm gonna come back and spend a whole day with you in a few days."

He gasped and leaned back with a smile. I couldn't help but smile because he looked so happy about it.

"Okay. You can go then." He hugged me again. "I love you Ria."

"Love you too bug." I turned my head to kiss his temple before he leaned back.

"It was nice to meet you." Dave shook Louis's hand again as I handed Taylor back to my mom.

"You too." Louis mumbled while my mom set Taylor in his playpen.

"I can't wait to come back and see you guys again." I hugged Dave lightly and then looked at my mom.

"I love you honey." She smiled pulling me into a tight hug.

"I love you too mom." I whispered next to her ear.

When we let go of each other, I stepped back and felt Louis wrap his arm around my waist. I looked down at Taylor as he waved at me with a teddy bear in his hand.

"Bye bug." I waved back. "Bye guys."

"Bye Ria!" Taylor yelled over them saying bye.

We walked out of the door and toward the car hand in hand. I climbed into the driver's seat while Louis sat in the passenger's seat. After buckling up, I turned the car on and drove away from my moms house.

"Do you feel better now that you saw her and cleared the air?" Louis asked setting his hand on my thigh.

"Yea, I'm glad I finally got to say how I felt about it. I've been holding that in for way too long." I hand both hands on the steering wheel and my eyes on the road.

"That's good, you seem happier." He moved his hand up my thigh a little bit. "You're great with kids."

"Honestly, I usually feel kind of scared around them because they get hurt so easily and cry a lot but not with him. I've never been like that before."

"It's because he's your little brother." He sounded like a know-it-all but he was right. "He looks like you well actually like your mom but you look just like her."

"How? He has intensely green eyes, they kinda remind me of Harry's."

"Me too. But he has a brown spot in his eyes in the same spot you have you green one, those high cheek bones and you laugh is the same as his." I guess when you look at it like that, we do look similar.

"True." I shrugged nearing my dad’s house.

"You okay?" He asked, as my breathing got a little sporadic.

"We really got into it before I left." I remembered our last argument as I turned onto his street.

"It'll all be okay Lex. You two have a lot to talk about and a lot of history but you guys will work through." His words actually did calm me down.

I nodded and put the car in park in the driveway. We both unbuckled after I turned the car off and got out. The yard was kept up and the roses in front of the house looked nice. But when I saw the children's shoes on the porch, my stomach clenched.

"I don't know if I can do this Louis." I stopped on the steps and looked at him with tears burning my eyes.

"You can Alex, I know you can." He wrapped his arms around me and held me to his chest. "You're here because you want to fix what happened and move on."

I nodded and pulled back to look into his eyes as his thumbs wiped away my tears. He leaned forward and kissed my lips softly while one of his hands landed on my waist. I touched his cheek and leaned back.

"Thanks boo." I smiled and he nodded before I continued walking up the steps to the door.

I knocked on the door and heard footsteps from inside as the door opened and revealed a boy who looked about 14 with his phone in hand. He turned around as a woman stood behind him.

"You're Alex right?" The boy asked with an English accent.

"Yes." I nodded as Louis slipped his hand into mine.

"Hi, I'm Joey and this is my mom Georgie." He pointed to the woman with a bright smile.

"Please come in." The both stepped back and let us in. "Your dad will be right down."

"Alright. Oh this is Louis." I introduced Louis while he smiled shyly.

"Nice to meet you." Georgie smiled as a "thud" came from the top of the stairs. "Boys come down here please."

The three boys at the top of the stairs ran down the stairs, pushing and shoving each other until they were next to their mom. She lined them up and then looked at us.

"This is John" she paused at the oldest boy besides Joey, "Davie" the middle boy with brown hair, "and Patrick" the littlest boy with dark brown eyes. "Boys say hi, this is your sister Alex and her boyfriend Louis."

"Hi." They all mumbled with the tone of confusion.

"Hey." We both smiled at them.

"How are you our sister?" Patrick asked as Joey pushed him.

"You don't ask that." He scolded the little boy.

"No, it's okay.” I said to Joey and then looked at Patrick. “We have the same dad." It bugged me to say that because they were all conceived while my parents were still married but it was true and it wasn't their fault.

“Ohhh.” Patrick nodded as my dad walked down the stairs with a little girl in his arms.

“Hey Lexi.” He said as the little girl in his arms waved at me. “Oh, hey Louis.

“Hey.” I nodded at him and then smiled at the little girl while Louis mumbled a “Hello”.

“This is Lexi, Anniemae.” He said to the little girl. “Say “hi” sissy.”

“Anniemae?” Louis asked as if he chocked on his words.

“Yea.” Georgie nodded taking her from my dad’s arms.

“Sissy?!” He used to fucking call ME that when I was little. I used to be his little girl, he used to tell me to say hi like that. I came up with that name when I was little, I named every single one of my dolls that because I wanted that to be my name. This is going to be a long day. I had to act like it didn't affect me so I just smiled down at her.

“Hi.” She said quietly as I kneeled down.

“Hello, how old are you sweetie?” I asked trying to ignore my anger.

“Four.” She answered holding up 4 fingers. “How old are you?”

“Nineteen.” I smiled as her jaw dropped.

“Why don’t we all go sit down?” Georgie asked leading us into the huge living room.

I sat down on the bench seat next to Louis that was against one of the walls. My dad and Georgie sat on the love seat while the boys all climbed on the couch and Anniemae walked over to me. She reached up to me so I picked her up and set her on my lap facing Louis.

“Are you two together?” She asked looking at Louis.

“Yes.” He answered with a smile I could tell was involuntary.

“You are?!” My dad asked in a shocked tone.

“Yea.” I smiled up at Louis and then looked at my dad, he didn't look too happy about it but I ignored it for a little bit.

“So are you two living together?” My dad asked with attitude.

“In a way. I’m on the road with them so we stay in hotels.” I answered with the same tone.

“You're boobear!” Anniemae almost yelled pointing at him.

“Yes, I am.” He laughed looking at me as a smile crept onto my face.

“That’s why you look so familiar. You're from One Direction.” Joey looked a little bit more relaxed as if he was racking his brain for it.

“Yea, I am.” He laughed in a way that told me that he didn't know what else to say to him.

“Oh yea, congrats on that.” My dad obviously didn't mean it.

“Joey, John, will you take the boys and sis somewhere for a little bit so they can catch up?” Georgie asked in a rushed tone. “Please.”

“Sure.” Joey stood up and rounded up the kids before coming over to me and picking Anniemae up off my lap. “Lets go to the park.”

They all walked outside and closed the door while Georgie got up and walked to the kitchen. I could tell she wasn’t comfortable and I was sort of upset at her but mainly with my dad.

“Do you want anything to drink?” She asked with a shaky voice.

“Sure, I’ll help you.” I offered standing up and then I looked down at Louis. “Want something?”

“Yes please.” He smiled up at me.

I walked to the kitchen and helped Georgie get drinks. She was deifinitely feeling weird with me but I was trying to be nice to her. We both stopped at the island and looked at each other.

“Alex, I’m sorry. I know that it’s partly my fault your parents split up and I want you to know that I feel really back about all of that.” Her voice was extremely shaky and she had tears in her eyes.

“I forgive you, please don’t cry. I’m not really angry about that anymore, they are better apart.” I touched her hand gently. “And I was never really mad at you, I was mad at my dad more.”

“Oh.” She sighed a little bit.

We finished the drinks and brought them back into the living room. I sat down next to Louis again and looked at my dad.

“He’s not happy about us.” He whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek.

I smiled politely and looked across the room. My dad looked mad and he sucked at hiding it. With a sigh, I tried to breath out my anger but it wasn’t working.

“Can we talk for a minute alone dad?” I asked looking at him.

“Louis, let me give you a tour of the house.” Georgie stood up and gestured Louis to follow her.

Louis smiled and follower her out of the room while my dad looked around the room. I crossed my legs and took my jacket off.

“Why’re you made at me?” I finally just asked.

“Why am I mad? The last thing you said to me was “I hate you” so of course I’m mad.” He moved forward and clenched his jaw.

“I only said that because you cheated on mom and had kids with her, gave up on me the one time I did something wrong and put me in the middle of you two.” My ears were burning as I spoke.

“I gave up because you stopped trying!”

“Yea, because I was put between you two. I couldn’t focus at school because I couldn’t sleep and I couldn’t sleep because of the arguing and constant crying.” I was so mad that I couldn’t shut up. “You cheated on mom with Georgie and had all those kids, who I love because they're family but I wish that you hadn’t done it. And you named her Anniemae?! Are you kidding me? The only reason you even though about that name is because of me! I came up with it but you used it for your new daughter.”

He was speechless and tears were running down my cheeks. I wiped my cheeks and sniffled as he stood up and walked over to sit next to me. He leaned down on his elbows and dropped his head.

“I’m sorry sissy. I didn't mean to do any of that. I’m sorry that I did all of that to you.” He said quietly. “I haven't gone a day without thinking about you. I love you Alex.”

“I love you too dad and I forgive you.” I mumbled to him.

He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me toward him. I leaned in and hugged him back with a smile.

“Can I ask you something?” I asked quietly.

“Sure.” He nodded pulling back.

“Why don’t you like Louis and I being together?” That had been bugging me a lot.

“No dad wants to see their little girl dating someone.” He was being honest with me. “I trust Louis because he’s always been there for you but I don’t want you to grow up.”

“I am grown up dad, I’m 19.” I looked at him.

“I know but I don’t know, I feel like you being in a serious relationship means you wont need me anymore.” He shrugged.

“In one way or another, I’ll always need you.” I smiled up at him.
