Fool's Gold

Chapter 7

Enola relaxed in my arms. Her breathing was shallow and steady. I looked down at her sleeping face and smiled to myself. I had only ever dreamed of holding a woman so beautiful. I continued to stroke her thigh and running my fingers through her soft blonde hair. I groaned a bit when my phone started to ring. I looked over at it and sighed. I looked at Enola's soft, heavenly face. I didn't want her to wake up but I had to answer. I reached for the phone.
"Hello?" I whispered.
"Hey, Harry, were you sleeping? Did I wake you?" Louis inquired kindly.
"No. No. I was awake." I answered. "What's up?" I was keeping my voice as low as I could without being inaudible to Louis.
"Why are you whispering then?" Louis asked. I could hear him smirking. I could see the smug look on his face in my mind.
"She's asleep, Louis. What do you need?" I was getting a bit testy. I didn't want the woman in my arms to wake for a second.
"Who is sleeping, Harry?" His voice raised in excitement.
"Louis, get on with it. Why did you call so late?"
"Late? Harry, its only after eleven." Louis sounded confused.
"I'm not in London, Louis."
"Oh, I see. Where are you?" Louis tried to sound casual.
I groaned softly, "That's all this was. A ploy to see where I was and who I was with?" I heard Louis begin to laugh. "That's just great." I huffed. Enola shifted in my arms. I shushed her quietly when she made a whimpering sound.
Louis had pride in his voice as he said, "Harry, I did find out that you are with a girl."
"A woman." I corrected him.
"Would this be the woman that you've been daydreaming about for the last six months. The woman you fight with yourself about calling?" Louis enquired.
"Louis, I am hanging up now. She's sleeping. I don't want to wake her. I have to go." I hung up on him. I turned my phone off then tossed it onto the floor. I closed my eyes and tried to easy my own anger. Nosey boys. I loved them like brothers and they loved me but there was something about Enola that made me not want to share with them. She was unique. Special in so many ways. I just didn't know what all of them were yet. But I was determined to know most of them by the end of the week.
