VALERIE’S POV

I wake up with Sandy’s alarm clock and see her getting ready to go to college. She has already been half an hour inside her bathroom when I get up to get ready to work. I don’t have to do my makeup or anything since the makeup artists are doing my makeup at set so it’s quite quick for me. I kiss Sandy’s cheek before getting out of my house.

Harry slept at his place yesterday. We were both tired and I thought it was healthy for us to stop making love for once and to be somewhat apart especially considering we have to say goodbye in a few days. That breaks me down inside every time I think about it. I really wish I could go on tour with him or he could come to Brazil with me, but we can’t. I need to stop thinking about that.

We have this boring day of reshooting different scenes we have already shot and everything at work. Then it’s all about paperwork and shit. Louis and I take pictures here and there and have fun basically laughing our asses out. We throw food to people in the crew and hide ourselves behind the furniture on set. We also update our Instagram account and make fun of the press.

He talks about Eleanor and about the tour and asks me things about the future press conference for Bonnie and Clyde which is really far away but I answer nonetheless. That is going to be fun and that could mean seeing Harry.

-Before you guys go, we need to talk about the press conference tour. So I have been talking to the One Direction’s crew and we have made the Europe leg of the tour and the Europe press conferences match. I have talked to Sheridan too, Val, and we are going to be in Europe when you are filming in Dublin.

Louis smiles at me when David talks about Jim Sheridan. I remember when I told Louis about Ella. He was almost as excited as I was myself and right then I felt how close of friends we have become. I was sort of down and insecure about my long distance friendship with Louis a few weeks ago but now not anymore. I know we are keeping up with each other for certain.

When we finish working, I go to Louis’ to spend some time with Harry before I have to go to David Letterman’s show tonight. Harry leads me to his bedroom and I lay on his bed, exhausted from work. He sits next to me and caresses my belly as he has done plenty of times.

-So when are you starting with the shooting of that new movie of yours? – His thick accent is like music.

-I don’t know really. All I know is that I need to meet the tiger first.

-The tiger? What the hell? – Harry laughs while I smile at him. – You never got to tell me about the movie. What is it about?

-So it is called Ella, right? Well, Ella is a female who lives in the jungle on her own. She was the daughter of two investigators who died because of a disease. She was raised by a tiger and hence her kind of friends is the tigers, particularly one who is like her best friend. The thing is she is this wild girl and then a group of British investigators, joined by a group of Australian investigators or animal trainers arrive to her jungle and they find her. There is this Australian psychologist who studies her and might fall for her and there is this English young biologist who just tries to teach her things and learn things for her and might or might not fall for her too. Who would she choose though?

-Wow. That sounds cool but you have to deal with real tigers?

-Yes, that is the coolest part actually. – I tell him smiling.

-Be careful though, love.

-I would. To be honest that’s the most exciting part of everything and the fact that it is going to be filmed on a jungle with pure nature and everything. I’m so excited.

-I can tell. – Harry chuckles. – And... do you know the rest of the cast already or not?

-Not the whole cast but Roger told me there’s Robert Downey Jr who plays Mr Rigg who is kind of the boss of the British investigators, there’s also Liam Hemsworth who is gonna play this Australian psychologist, there’s also gonna be Barbra Streisand who I’m so excited to work with and... – I avoid telling him about Douglas since I don’t know how he is going to react. – And... Pretty much that’s all I know.

-Wow. That’s impressive, babe. You are impressive. – Harry smiles.

We kiss and chat for a while until I have to go to Letterman’s studio. As I walk through the door I realize I didn’t even read the email Roger sent me about the questions they would most likely ask me. I guess I’ll have to improvise.

Harry’s POV

Louis and I are watching Valerie’s interview on our TV since Louis says it is most likely going to be fun. I am so proud of myself because I am able to say I get to kiss that glorious creature that is going to be sitting on the sofa. David Letterman appears on the telly and then there is like a resume of Valerie’s professional career and her latest successes. They talk about As I turn brown, Live for me and Plot. She is brilliant.

-Our next guest is a twenty year old actress crazily talented, funny and beautiful. She is right now presenting her new movie Plot which is on cinemas at the moment. Ladies and gentlemen, do us a favour, we are so happy to see her, please welcome America’s favourite Spaniard, Valerie Veneel.

Valerie walks in with her hair worn up in a ponytail, in a high waist black short jumpsuit and red high heels. She is wearing her red lipstick and she is looking astonishing as usual.

-Jesus, Valerie is hot. – Louis says earning that Eleanor throws a pillow at his head. – You are hotter, babe. – He lies.

-Hello everyone. Thank you! – Valerie smiles at the camera and at the audience. – Hello, David, it’s so good to see you!

-You look gorgeous, Valerie. – David tells her sincerely.

-So do you, David. – She smiles at him and Jesus, she really is beautiful.

-Well, first of all, congratulations on your nomination for the MTV Movie Awards Best Female Performance for Live for me.

-Thank you.

-You were brilliant and you totally deserve to win. The best of the lucks, Valerie. What sensation do you keep from such a harsh movie?

-Thank you so much. Well, the process of making that movie was really really hard since I had to build this complex character and go through that awful moment and stuff but I’m so glad I got to do it because I got to spend a lot of quality time with people who were worth it as heaven and who taught me a lot of things so I keep a lot of lessons from the movie but especially one: Enjoy life. – Valerie says all serious.

I love that version of Valerie. Valerie is funny and crazy but she is passionate about her job and whenever she is talking to you about acting or about a movie, she turns all serious and professional and her face shines as bright as a diamond. She really loves what she does and she is great at it.

-I’m glad you did because I’m sure I can speak for any bystander when I say you made people feel the movie and get emotional and cry and grow with you and that was... well, you know, fantastic. You utterly get out of the cinema thinking you are an idiot.

-Well – she laughs– sorry about that but I’m glad you felt the movie with me.

-So is it still exciting to be nominated for a MTV Movie Award or you don’t care anymore?

-It is always exciting; it’s not something you get used to at all. It is always good that people recognize your effort too and you are always grateful of that.

-And, before we talk about your fantastic movie Plot, let’s talk about your last shooting experience.

Valerie moves her head to one side confused.

-So you have been working with Louis Tomlinson from One Direction...

Pictures of Instagram and Twitter of Louis and Val appear on the screen they have in the show and Val laughs.

-I have been lucky enough to work with Louis, yes. He is... He is a wonderful thing. – She says smiling.

-And you guys are really close to each other...

-We are. He is a good friend of mine.

-Just friends though. Isn’t there any physical attraction?

-Of course, David, can’t you feel the sexual tension in there? – She points out at a picture of Louis dressed up as Bonnie and Valerie dressed up as Clyde and everyone laughs.

-So you are great friends and you love him. – Val nods grinning. – Do you guys ever get sick of each other? I mean you spend a lot of time together... What does Louis do that bothers you? – David says smiling.

-Puff... – Valerie seems to be thinking hard about one thing. – There are so many things.... – Everyone laughs, Louis included. – Oh, there is this thing he does all the time. He would never throw his plastic plate to the plastic bin when we have lunch at work. He is so disgusting in that way I want to kill him sometimes. I love him though. – She says smiling charmingly and David laughs.

-And what have you guys been doing?

-Well, we are working in a movie which is going to be on cinemas probably at the beginning of next year and all I can tell by now it’s that it’s some sort of comedy about Bonnie’s and Clyde’s story. It’s full of love, laughter, adventure and also a bit of drama of course.

-Wow, that sounds great. And you have met the rest of One Direction, haven’t you?

-I have. They are all sweet guys, very well mannered and with their feet on the ground, you know.

-And you have grown so close to them, well, let me say, especially to one of them – Oh boy, a picture of Valerie and I holding hands getting out of a restaurant appears on the show – what is going on between Harry Styles and you, Veneel?

She laughs and looks at the picture which is at her back.

-We look good, don’t we? – She laughs slightly shaking her head and blushing. She is beautiful. – He is a... – She clearly doesn’t know what to say. – He is a very sweet guy and he is fun. – Am I? – Actually – she laughs – there was this time when he, well all the guys from 1D, met Will Smith from Plot at a party and we, you know, we messed with them and it was fun. Will Smith is hilarious by the way, you know him, right? – Valerie asks charmingly.

-Sweet. – Louis laughs. – Have you seen how she has changed the subject? She is smart! – I laugh along. She really is smart.

-I do. I do know him. – David says. – Oh, I see, so you introduce your boyfriend to Will Smith... So it seems to be serious. Did they get along?

Valerie stares smiling at him and then she shakes her head smiling. That was good too. She looks to the audience shaking her head looking for support and then she looks back to David.

-So about Plot, what do you think, David? Have you watched the movie?

She smiles and it drives me crazy. I am never going to be able to watch her on TV anymore without smiling like an idiot.

-I have watched it and it was fantastic. You were absolutely amazing as usual.

They chat a bit about the filming of the movie and the action scenes and stuff and then Louis and I are both with our mouths open.

-You are crazily talented, Valerie, and not only do you act as you do but you are also a song writer yourself. – David tells Valerie and she shakes her head smiling.

-Well, I like to write and I have written a few songs if that’s what you mean.

-In fact, you wrote Where does the good go? which is played by Tegan and Sara and which is included in the soundtrack of this movie Plot.

-I did. – Valerie nods. Did she?

-And you also wrote Mamma knows best for Jesse J...

-Well, I wrote the lyrics and she gave them music. I can play the guitar and I love it and usually the songs I write are just these acoustic songs with the guitar and then my friends’ music producers do their magic and... There you go with your song.

-Right, right, so you’re into acoustic music and stuff... I guess that’s why you are so close with James Bay who is going to be coming on Friday, by the way.

They then talk a bit about James Bay and about Val’s old life in London and then the show ends and Louis and I turn off the TV and talk about Valerie. So she writes songs. Would she have written a song about us?
