DREAM**

I walked into mine and Harry’s shared bathroom to go check the pregnancy test. I was frightened; I wasn’t ready for a baby yet. I went on my tipsy-toes and glanced over where the pregnancy stick was. There were 2 pink/red lines showing which meant I was pregnant. “This can’t be happening” I whispered to myself. “This is wrong, I’m sure of it” I gasped.

I woke up sweaty and clammy. I remembered what I was just dreaming about. “Is it a sign” I said to myself. I walked downstairs into the kitchen and breakfast was just being served. “Morning mum” “Morning sweety how was your sleep” “It was alright I had a strange dream though” “What was it about” “Oh don’t worry” I shut up. I shouldn’t have said anything. Mum would just annoy me and tell me that I’m too young and I really wasn’t in the mood to be spoken too. “Do you want to eat before you go to school today Nicole” “I’m not that hungry, I’ll probably just drink a smoothie at school or something” “Just have a little bit please darling” “No thanks, I said I wasn’t hungry” I said raising my tone. “Don’t raise your tone at me young lady” “I can do whatever I want, I’m 19 not 10” I said then stormed out the front door. I decided to walk to school today as I didn’t feel like driving. I got to the ally way near the school and I saw Harry there making out with some blonde girl. I felt a bit jealous inside but I didn’t show it. I walked past them and then I felt a tug on my left arm. “Hey Nicole” “I have to go I’m almost late for my first class” “Don’t go stay with me” “Harry I’m not irresponsible, I actually want to get far with my life unlike you” “Why are you the only girl that doesn’t want to have sex with me” He mumbled quietly but I could still hear. “Because I don’t do that stuff Harry, I like you as a friend but nothing more. Nothing is ever going to happen between us” “I had a dream about you last night” He changed the subject. “Cool I don’t really care, I have to go bye” I walked away from Harry. “What the hell, is that a coincident or something” I whispered. “What is happening” I said. I walked into my first class, luckily I wasn’t late. “Hey Nicole Dave just messaged me and told me you said you’re going to tutor him” Allison winked. I laughed “Nothing more that tutoring him Allison, I’m not that kind of girl” “I can tell he likes you more than a friend, the way he looks at you” “He looks at me the same as he looks at you” “No he’s eyes spark when he looks at you it’s weird and hard to explain but it does” “Oh okay, I don’t see it and plus I wouldn’t go for him he is just a nice friend that needs a tutor and that tutor would happen to be myself” “Oh why not you two would be a really cute couple” “I don’t look at him that way” I said. “You will soon” She winked. We both laughed in unison. My phone vibrated which gave me a shock. “Wow what was that for” “My phone just vibrated and gave me a shock that’s all” Allison simply just laughed. “You’re a funny girl” “I try to” I winked. “Very”. I looked at my phone and looked at the message. ‘Nicole can we please talk, it’s kind of urgent xx Love Harry’ it was from Harry. I think he guessed I didn’t save his number on my phone. I replied back instantly saying ‘You want to talk so you can try touch me again, no thanks not falling for this one again. I know I told you I forgave you but inside it still kills me knowing you tried to almost rape me. I’m sorry but I can’t come talk to you’ It was a couple minutes later and I still didn’t get a reply from Harry. ‘Please I’m sorry for what I did that night, I’m deeply sorry. Can you just meet me somewhere after school in a public area so you know I won’t try touch you again. I need to tell you something’ He replied back. ‘Starbucks at 4 sharp don’t be late’ I replied. ‘Okay thank you’.

I was scared what might happen if I actually turn up again. Would he get his gang and make them kidnap me or who knows what. But I always had this feeling like inside he was actually a nice guy. By the time school was over I quickly ran home and got changed into something appropriate. I heard a knock on my door and heard mum get it. It was my auntie and uncle that I haven’t seen in forever. I went outside and went to say hello to them. “Hey I haven’t seen you in ages how are use going” I said while hugging them both. “Aw you’ve grown up so much, you’re beautiful now. We’ve been good, Jacks here” They said. Jack was their son; he was the sweetest little boy. I remember one time a couple of years ago he would put flowers into my bed and write a note saying ‘You’re Beautiful’ which I found really cute. “Are you saying I was ugly before” I laughed. “No silly you’ve been beautiful your whole life, go and say hi to Jack” “Okay, JACCCCKK!” I yelled. He came running up to me and hugging me tightly. “How are you I haven’t seen you in ages, how old are you now” “I’m 6 now, im big boy” He laughed. “Well I have to go meet someone at Starbucks but I will be back soon” “Can I cwome” “Sorry Jack but you can’t” “Ow” He started walking away I felt so bad for him. “Jack if your mum lets you then you can come” “Ok” He ran away excited and asked his mum. “She said yes” “Okay well let’s go” I said. I forgot to tell Harry so I quickly texted him in the car. ‘Harry my cousin is coming too so if you are planning to do something crazy or anything I wouldn’t do it’ ‘Okay Nicole, I wasn’t planning anything like that I just need to tell you something xx’ ‘Yeah whatever’ I texted back. Jack and I were blasting the music until we saw a big red truck coming towards us. The truck hit us and made the car tumble. After the strong impact of the truck hitting us everything went dark.

I woke up with a massive headache. I opened my eyes and saw bright white lights. I looked around the room squinting, since the lights were hurting my eyes and making my headache worst. I had no idea were I was. A lady came into the room with papers in her hand. She was a nurse. “You’re awake, how are you feeling” She asked nicely while writing stuff down onto the piece of paper she was holding onto. “I have a headache but that’s about it, can you please turn the lights off they’re hurting my eyes” “Sure” She walked to the light switched and turned all of them off except for one. “So I am your nurse for today, You were in a car accident, do you remember that at all” “I-I was in a car accident” I asked. I honestly had no idea what was going on. I don’t remember being in a car at all last. “Yes you were, and a little boy named Jack was in the car as well” My cousin Jack. Oh my god. “Jack, my little cousin Jack, is he okay, oh my god” “Nicole calm down, he’s in a stable condition just bruises and his leg is sprained but that’s about it” “Can I go seem him please” I asked. “No sorry you can’t get out of your bed, you need to get some rest” “Please” I begged. “I’m sorry but you can’t, your not in a stable condition yet, and we will need to run some more tests since I think you’ve lost your memory” “I haven’t lost my memory I just don’t remember the car accident” I snapped. “I’m just trying to help Nicole” “Sorry, I’ve got a really bad headache, and I’m confused. Can I please have some panadol” “Sure I’ll be back, did you want any food since I’m going out” “Yes please” I replied. “By the way do you know where my parents are” “They’re at work they called and said they will try and get it off early to come and see you” “Okay thank you” “That’s fine, now try get some rest”

I looked at my phone that was on the side of the table. I noticed there were flowers, balloons, and a teddy bear on the table. I grabbed the bear and looked at the note that was placed onto the bear’s arm. It wrote ’ I hope you get better xx Harry.’ “Who the hell is Harry” I said aloud. I put the bear back to were it was placed and went to grab my phone. I unlocked my phone and saw 23 text messages from Allison and Harry. ‘Hey Nicole, I heard what happened I hope you’re okay, I’ll come visit you today sometime, I love you. xx Allison’ another one saying ‘I hope you’re okay, I bought you a bear and put a note on the bear’s arm, It’s all my fault you got into the car accident. I made you come and see me but you got into a car crash instead. I’m sorry. I will make it up to you I promise xx Harry.’ After reading that text message my nurse came back in with food and water. “Here you go Nicole, Take these they’re very strong so your headache will go away straight away” “Oh thank you, can I please ask you something” I asked. “Sure what is it” “Who is Harry” “He came in about half an hour ago he said you were friends.” “Oh okay thank you, I don’t know who he is though” “We ran tests before and it was a possibility you would loose your memory” “Okay then” I said stubbornly. I was already sick of this, I didn’t know who anyone was and they said they knew me. I had to find out what happened before this car crash.
