A Tale Of Two Spies
Mall Trip Hurt.
*Carter's POV*
I scanned over another rack of shimmery clothing lining the dress shop, only halfway listening to Robin's excited chattering in my ear.
"Where were you last night Carter? We were supposed to have a lady's movie night!!" She whined, tugging my arm.
"Ahhhhh. You know, allergy bug. I just retired to the bedroom with a glassful of Benadryl and my teddy bear." The lie easily slithered off of my tongue, and I almost felt bad that I didn't make me feel guilty deceiving my best friend. She nodded, accepting my sorry ass apology. We left the store shortly after, toting our heavy shopping bags on our wrists.
"Ooohhh! Let's stop for a smoothie! I'm pooped!" Robin cried, pointing to a smoothie stand not to far away. We were halfway there when she stopped abruptly and I slammed into the back of her. She grabbed my shoulders and turned me around.
"Hmmm...maybe not a smoothie. Let's get a pretzel instead, yeah?" Her tone made caused me to grow suspicious, and I turned back around to the smoothie stop, heart freezing when I saw Zayn.
His arms wrapped around the girl from the banquet's, Danicka I think it was, skinny waist as she peppered his face with kisses, her blonde locks draping over them. My feet decided to grow roots,and I stood there, mouth agape as he sucked on her neck.
I felt Robin's fingers intertwine with mine as she began to tug me away.
"He's an asshole Carter. Let's just go."
"Yeah." I mumbled, turning slowly away as Robin began to fill the tense air with hollow sentences about pretzels and milkshakes.
I looked over my shoulder one last time, my eyes connecting with Zayn's wide arrogant ones. We stared at eachother for a while before he sent me a smirk and heatedly pressed his lips to the whore's.
"Screw you Zayn Malik." I muttered, flinging my bag over my shoulder and stalking off with Robin.
