So far the story is moving at the perfect pace, so no correction there. Maybe a plot twist soon to come, like a trustworthy friend or co-worker betrays them but they don't find out until later. Like it can start off with the person throwing them off by giving false information about the case. Idk it's just an idea, you can PM me if you have ideas and you need help putting them together. I'm not very creative.
