You & I

Leaving was probably the hardest thing I've done in my life. When I watched Dell sank and crumble to the floor, I wanted to run back and give her one last hug. I started to doubt myself as I walked through the street. Mothers with crying babies in strollers, groups of people standing in certain corners, and teenage girls walking out of stores with their hands full of bags.

When I walked into my apartment, my roommate jumped up instantly. "Hi! My name is Lissa, but you can call me Liss. I'm from Norway and I'm 18. I just graduated a couple of days ago." She hauled my bags across to the bed from hers. "How about you?" She looked at me for the first time. I became suddenly shy from her confidence. "I'm Olivia. I'm from Florida and I just graduated yesterday." Her eyes widened. "Just yesterday? Wow, my parents would never let me do that." She got a funny look on her face before continuing.

"Anyways, do you have a nickname besides Olivia?" I nodded before I started unpacking. "Via." She was surprised. "Really? I thought it was going to be Liv or something." She shrugged, then turned on the huge flat screen tv on the wall. I smiled to myself. She's exactly like Dove. "So, what do you like to do in your free time?" I asked. "I like to dance." "And listen to One Direction." She said the last part so quietly that I almost didn't catch what she said. I've heard about the band from Dell before, but didn't know much about them.

"Whose your favorite?" I know Dell's is Liam. She blushed before falling back on her bed. "Louis." Then she gasped and jumped over to my bed. "Are you a fan?!" I widened my eyes. "Um, sure..." Then she squealed. "Oh my gosh! Um, would you like to go to their concert with me?" I saw how desperate she was, so I said yes. Not really, more like a "Okay..." She squealed again. "Thank you! I know this is very sudden, but I have a feeling that we're going to become good friends." I agreed.
