Niall’s POV
I lean silently against the kitchen counter as I watch Tori and Dana talk through some coloring sheet.

It’s the first day of Tori’s schooling and I would have to say so myself that Dana is a kind person.

She’s helpful and explained everything step by step to me. Its good to know I can have some one I can trust.

I hear knocking on the door, which spooked me because no one was supposed to come over today.

I exit the kitchen, sure to not disturb the girls. I go to the door and I open it. There he stands. The bastard that I hate with everything inside of me.

Alex.

And he’s holding my child.

What the fuck is wrong with Jana’s mind right now? This fucker shouldn’t be at my door step with my baby in his arms.

I raise my eyebrows at him, shocked and confused.

‘’Jana was running late for work.. she asked if I would bring him over..’’ He mumbles, not too sure what to say.

I don’t respond, I just take Taylor away from him, ‘’Good bye.’’ I say as I go to shut the door, but he stops me by holding his hands out.

‘’Wait, I-‘’ I sigh, cutting him off.

‘’Get the hell away from my house. And if I ever see you touch my damn kid again, I’ll beat the fuck out of you.’’ I say, calmly. Not raising my voice. Not even giving him a dirty look.

‘’I was-‘’

‘’Go.’’ I say, annoyed a little by now. He nods as he walks away from me and to his car. I slam the door, hoping to make my point peacefully.

“Hi there, bubs.’’ I smile happily as I hold Taylor up so I can see his adorable little face. He just smiles at me, giggles a little too.

He reaches out to touch my mouth. He does that all the time. He grabs my bottom lip and slightly pulls on it, it sorta hurt.

But I don’t care. Its cute. And he’s enjoying it. So its perfectly fine with me.

“Lets go call Mommy and see why that idiot touched you, yeah?’’ I say once he let my lip go. He smiles, slobber all over his lips. I just smile and laugh lightly as I hold in my arms and walk upstairs, hoping to solve these fucked up problems.

I sit Taylor on the ground, he automatically gets in his crawling position. And before I even walked away from him, he was on his exploration of the bedroom floor, it wasn’t his first time though.

I take my phone from my pocket and dial Jana’s number, anxious to see the reason why she trusted that son of a bitch with my baby. Because if he does it again, I will get a fucking restraining order on him if I have to.. just saying.

She answers with little delay, thankfully. I sigh before I even begin to talk, ‘’Hello?’’ She says.

‘’Hey.. um, I have a very important question to ask you.’’ I say, watching Taylor crawl around.

‘’What is it?’’ She says, concerned.

‘’Why in the hell… would you let that bastard.. Better yet, why in the fuck would you allow that mother fucker to pull in my driveway. And why the fuck would you let him touch my baby?’’ I say, making sure to make my thoughts on this very clear, based on my word choice that is.

‘’Niall, calm down. He was doing me a favor, that’s all. He’s hardly around Taylor anyways..’’ Jana says, trying to make me “calm”. Yeah, right.

‘’I don’t give a shit, Jana. Taylor’s my kid. I have a saying in who he can be around. And I don’t want either of them around him. Ever.’’ I pinch the bridge of my nose, annoyed and pissed off at her, but still trying to keep my voice down.

‘’Niall, they aren’t, barely at all! When he comes over, I usually sent Tori to her room and Taylor’s already asleep. And he only comes over when they’re at your house, anyways.’’ She says, her voice getting higher. She only does that when she’s mad, but she doesn’t want to yell or show it.

‘’I don’t care Jana. I’m sick of this.’’ I tell her.

‘’Why though? What did he ever do to you, Niall?’’ Jana asks. Damn, miss the way she gets mad at me. Shit, I just miss her completely.

‘’He.. He..’’ I stop myself, knowing that it would be embarrassing for me to admit this to her. But yet, something inside of me just wants to let it all out, and just tell her already.

‘’He what? I’m waiting.’’ She says with a short sigh.

‘’He took you away from me, that’s what.’’ I huff, not wanting to do this right now. Not over the phone.

‘’Niall, that’s so childish.’’ She says, I know she just rolled her eyes. I just know it.

‘’No its not. I love you Jana, I do. With all my heart. We were fucking engaged.. and he.. he.. he fucking.. he.’’ I stop as I fear an unexpected tear trickle down my cheek.

I don’t wipe it off,

I just let it roll off and hit the hardwood floor.

‘’He what?’’ She asks, her voice cracking. I know her too well. Her voice cracks when she’s either nervous, or upset.

‘’He ruined it. Jana.. he ruined my life.. so why should I care for his, if he ruined mine?’’ I ask her, seriously.

I don’t get a response, I just hear her breathing and her light sighs. I decide to speak up, just to end this now.

‘’I have to go. Taylor’s gonna get into something if I don’t.’’ I say.

‘’Bye..’’ She mumbles lightly. I don’t say it back, I just hang up.
