Starts With Goodbye
Chapter 1
||May 22nd||
Niall's POV
I hold Tori’s hand as we walk into the café. We’re supposed to be meeting Tori’s teacher here. Its sorta weird, really.
The girl is gonna come to Jana’s, or my place, depending on where Tori is, during the week and she’s gonna help her with school stuff. And she’ll also be Tori’s homeschooling teacher, so we’ll be seeing her a lot.
Tori knows her ABC’s, she knows how to spell her name. But she can’t write all the letters. She knows her colors, shapes, and all that stuff. I just want her to get the education she needs.
And that’s exactly what’s gonna happen soon.
As soon as I sit down in the chair, Tori begins to climb onto my lap, as always, but it never bothers me. Jana’s got Taylor sitting on her knee, mumbling to him as he blabs that baby talk back. I sometimes forget he’s growing up on me.
Jana’s got him eating “people” food. Not too much though, just stuff like jello and icecream. The soft and easier stuff.
He’s drinking apple juice and other types in that matter. Its very touching to see him try at all the stuff he does. If you frown, and he sees you, he’ll do it too. And if you smile or laugh, he’ll also do that.
Tori snaps me from my thoughts as she pokes the palm of my hand a few times, looking up at me.
‘’Yeah babe?’’ I ask as I look down at her pretty little face.
‘’Mama’s talking to you.’’ She says. I look over at Jana, she’s looking right at me.
‘’Sorry.. I was.. zoned out.’’ I say.
‘’Its fine, I was saying that she texted me and said that she was almost here.’’ Jana says.
‘’Okay.’’ I nod a little as Tori fumbles with my fingers, she’s always done that. She’s growing up too.
She’s got to where she wants to do things with the girls. And she likes going places with Jana, Perrie, and Sophia. We hardly ever see Eleanor any more, well I don’t. I think Jana might, though. I dunno.
The door opens and I look over my shoulder to see a tall, blonde girl. She smiles happily as she quickly walks over to us, sitting next to Jana after giving her a side hug.
‘’Its nice to meet you again, Jana.’’ She says with a bright smile.
‘’Oh, well I don’t think I’ve met you, you’re such a cute little baby!’’ She squeals as she looks at Taylor, he just smiles back. He’s such a copy cat.
‘’Daddy, that’s my teacher!’’ Tori tells me.
‘’I know.’’ I inform her and she smiles a little, she’s so hyper at times.
“You must be Niall,’’ She says with a smile, ‘’I’m Dana.’’ She holds her hand out over the table and I shake it, she lets go first.
‘’So, I wanted to get everything situated before I begin my visits.’’ She as she reaches into her tote bag and pulls out a folder full of papers.
‘’I just need Niall’s signature, I have yours.’’ She says to Jana as she slides the paper and a pen over to me. I find the line I need to sign and I sign my name.
‘’Thank you,'' She says as I give it back to her, ‘’So, basically, I will start Monday. And how this works is that I will come over and spend as much time as you guys want me to, and I will start with the simple stuff. Nothing hard. By the end of the summer, Tori will be able to write the alphabet and her numbers. Its going to be a very productive process.’’ Dana smiles, sweetly and kindly at each of us.
‘’Well as long as she’s learning.’’ Jana says with a light smile as she glances over at me.
‘’So, I will call you both Sunday morning and check in on the timings and all, I would very much like if you guys would get the stuff on this list.’’ Dana says as she slides a folded piece of paper over to me. I look over it, not too surprised at all the simple schooling stuff.

“The backpack is just to keep up with all her stuff.’’ She mumbles as I look over the list, soon handing it to Jana for her to review also.
She nods once she reads all of it. I sigh lightly as I sit my chin softly on the top of Tori’s head.
She’s very tired, I can tell because she’s not even saying anything or asking any random questions.
“Niall.’’ Jana says, I’ve always loved the way she said my name.. I always will.
‘’Yeah?’’ I ask, casually, as I look over at her.
‘’Can you take the kids back to my place, they’re both sleepy.’’ She asks me kindly.
‘’Yeah.’’ I nod, glad to do anything for her.
There’s times when I realize that being separated can kill me. The time apart is dreadful.
But then I notice when I’m with her. Its amazing. The times we’re together is wonderful, cherishable, and amazing.

So, this is the first real chapter of the story. Every one needs to calm down about the whole situation, its going to get better, I promise. It will just take a LOT OF TIME. Anyways...
