Jana’s POV
I knock on Niall’s front door. It was almost midnight, I worked double shifts today. Niall tells me all the time to stop working, but I refuse to let my life waste away by just sitting around all day. I’d rather be pushed around than be lazy.

The door opens and I hear Harry and Niall’s combined laughter. He turns to face the door and his smile fades away. He rolls his lips in slightly and I can hear him gulp, gently, but it was loud to me.

‘’May I help you?’’ He asks, casually.

‘’I came to get them,’’ I mumble, trying to avoiding his gaze on me, so I just stare at his feet.

‘’Oh really? You could have called, you know. Told me you were gonna be late. I called your little boyfriend, he had to tell me. That’s a shame, huh?’’ He asks, sarcasm and a little sass in his voice. He’s very mad, but he refuses to show it.

‘’I.. I was busy all day. I didn’t have any breaks.’’ He say, trying to fix this before something explodes from it.

‘’You didn’t have a break.. all day.. but yet, you called him and told him. Instead of me?’’ Niall raises his eyebrows as he stares at me when those amazing blue eyes he’s got.

The eyes I wish I looked into all the time… but unfortunately, I don’t anymore.

“Can I just.. get the kids, please?’’ I ask, crossing my arms on my chest. He does the same thing, mocking me.

‘’Why? I was too busy.. I didn’t have any breaks to call and say they’ve been asleep for hours.’’ He cocks his head slightly as he lets his arms fall slowly to his sides.

‘’Please.. Niall. Just, don’t.. do this.. to me.’’ I sigh out.

‘’Don’t do what to you? Don’t let you see that I’m mad? Beyond mad. Don’t let you get the same tone of voice thrown back at you, the same bitchy attitude you always have?’’ He says, rolling his eyes slightly.

‘’I-‘’

He cuts me off before I even started my damn sentence.

‘’So, apparently its okay for you to be a bitch to me. But I can’t be a bitch to you? That’s not fair, now is it?’’ He steps back, away from the door.

Before I knew what was going on, he slams the door in my face. I swallow the lump in my throat and sigh lightly.

I take out my phone, checking some messages I’ve received all day. Alex is begging me to hurry and come home, so I can unlock the door. He doesn’t have a key. I only had one spare.

Niall has it..

I don't bother replying to the messages.

But I find myself turning around, my back to Niall’s front door. And I sit down on the step. The cool night air is blowing and hitting me hard in the face, making me shiver.

I hug my knees to my chest as I bury my face in my knees, too. I begin to lightly cry.

What is wrong with me?

Why did I ever do this to myself?

I could be happy.

Right now, I could be getting ready for bed. Cuddling up to Niall under the soft covers of his bed. I could feel the warmth of his body as he held me so close, so close that it took my breath away.

Or I could be sitting on the couch for a session of late night movies with him. The smell of the buttery popcorn and the sweet smell of the candy mixed in the air. The coolness of the air conditioner being blocked off me by the cover. The bright TV screen displaying a movie in which me a Niall usually share a common interest in.

But instead.. I’m sitting on his front step.. crying my eyes out..

Only to blame my self in the end.

Because I will admit, this is all my fault…
