Niall’s POV
I felt movement beside me in the bed. I wasn’t stupid. It was Tori. I heard her little groans and whines as I begin to focus on her and open my eyes up. I lean to the bedside table and turn the lamp on. I roll over onto my side so that I’m facing her.

‘’Baby, are you okay?’’ I mumble to her as she rubs her eyes with her fists.

‘’No..’’ She whines out some.

‘’What’s wrong, love?’’ I ask her.

“My tummy hurts a little.’’ She sighs as she leans up and sits her back against the pillows.

‘’You need to go potty, babe?’’ I ask, a normal question for a parent to ask.

‘’I dunno. I’ll try.’’ She shrugs lightly as she climbs off the bed.

I pull the covers back, preparing to straighten them up since they were messed up some. I catch a glimpse of something on the sheets.

‘’Fuck.’’ I groan as I realize what it was. And about this time, Tori was freaking out big time.

‘’Daddy! Daddy!’’ She from the bathroom.

I quickly get up, ignoring the blood, and I rush to her. I go in and kneel down beside her as she sits on the toilet.

‘’Daddy… there’s.. blood in the potty.’’ She whispers softly to me.

‘’I know.’’ I whisper back.

‘’Am I okay?’’ She asks, raising her eyebrows.

‘’Yeah, baby. You’re okay. Its just a little blood.’’ I assure her, hoping this will all be okay.

“What happened?’’ She sighs gently to me.

‘’Its.. hard to explain, Love. But Daddy’s going to fix it, trust me.’’ I kiss the top of her head as

I stand up and go over to the sink. I open the cabinet, above the sink, and I grab something I’d never thought I’d have to use on my daughter.

I had remembered that the doctor said she wouldn’t have a heavy period, so that’s a good thing. I literally bought the thinnest, smallest pads I could find, with Jana’s help of course, though.

I grab the box and take one out. I roll in my lips as I open it, nervous and afraid at the same time.

‘’Daddy.. what’s that?’’ Tori asks me.

‘’Um, it’s just something to help the bleeding, okay. Its not gonna hurt. I promise.’’ I sigh out.

Jana said to get the Always brand, because that’s what she uses and she said they worked good and all that other stuff.

‘’Okay, I’m gonna go get you some new clothes. I’ll be right back, don’t move.’’ I instruct and she nods, understandingly.

It didn’t take me long to go into her room and get her some fresh pajamas and panties. My poor baby don’t even know what’s going on. Fuck. This shit is getting on my nervous already.

It was a little after 3 at this point. Tori was sleeping peacefully upstairs in my bed, after I changed the sheets. But me, I was downstairs on the couch. I sent Jana a message, but she never replied. I assume she’s asleep.

But I just couldn’t sit up there and know that she’s in pain. She’s confused. How could this happen to her? Of all people? I’ll say one thing, I don’t wish this on any other parents.

I really don’t. I wouldn’t wish death to someone, but I think this is worse than death. She’s so young and

I find myself with my fingers interlaced as I prop my elbows on my knees, my chin on my hands. I close my eyes, sighing slightly. I haven’t done this in a while, and it probably wasn’t the best time to say this. But yet, I continue on.

‘’Forgive me, God, but how could you do this to me?” I whisper aloud.

He’s not here, but he can hear me.

‘’I’d do anything… if you’d just take this away from her. Anything.’’ I sigh.

‘’I’m sorry for.. all the.. things I’ve done.. and I know.. that one day.. I’ll need people praying over me, but I don’t care about myself. I just want my daughter to be safe. And I know as long as this is going on, she isn’t safe. So please, can you do me a huge favor? Can you just.. help us?"
