Starts With Goodbye
Chapter 12
Jana’s POV
I stood quietly beside Harry outside the apartment complex. We were talking with the police about all of this stupid shit.
‘’So, Jana, did you see any evidence of sexual abuse towards the little girl?’’ The officer asks me.
‘’I mean, I didn’t personally. But her dad did. He’s at the hospital with her right now..’’ I sigh a little.
‘’Niall said.. it was horrible.’’ Harry throws in.
‘’Really? Okay, I’m not saying I don’t believe you, I just have to have a statement.’’ The man says.
‘’Can I ask you something, Sir?’’ I say.
‘’Yes Mam, what it is?’’ He asks.
‘’Can we not have a case? Because.. I just.. I don’t want to go through that. Can we just charge him and get it over with as quickly as possible?’’ I ask him.
‘’Yes, we can. You don’t have to do a trial . Child molestation is very serious, and we do not to want to hold it off any longer than it needs to be.’’ He assures me with a kind smile.
“Harry.’’ I mumble gently as I sit in the passenger seat of his Range Rover.
I see him look over at me quickly, ‘’Yeah Love?’’
‘’Is.. Tori.. gonna.. be okay?’’ I ask him, acting as if he knew the answer.
‘’I’m sure she will.. But don’t worry, she’s in good hands either way.’’ He sighs out.
‘’What about Niall? Do you think.. he’ll disown me forever now? Is this all my fault Harry? Oh my god, I don’t what the fuck to do!” I cover my face with my hands, hoping this is just all a dream, even though I know its not.
‘’Hey, Jana.. love.. please don’t.. cry. Its okay, I promise it’ll be okay. Niall loves you.. no matter what, and I’m sure he knows none of this is your fault, don’t blame yourself.. it wasn’t your fault.’’ Harry says.
I feel his hand on my wrist. He pulls my hands down and takes a hold of my left one. He holds it tight, squeezing the life out of me. But I didn’t care right now. Harry’s one of my best friends, and his support is just enough to keep me alive.
Quickly, me and Harry rush into the ER. We run up to the counter and Harry was out of breath, but me, I was nervous as Hell.
‘’Please, my Daughter… Tori Horan.’’ I sigh out, not too sure what to say.
‘’Yes, Mam. Let me get the room number real quick.’’ She nods as she stands up and rushes over to a computer.
I watch as she types in some stuff before quickly returning to me and Harry.
‘’I’ll have a nurse escort you.’’ She tells.
A lady takes me and Harry through a door and down a few hall ways. We go into an elevator and go up one floor. It wasn’t long until she had lead us to a door with a sticker that read Horan, Tori.
A wave off relief hit me like a bitch and I was so happy to be able to see my daughter. She opens the door, but my heart breaks a tad and my worry rises.
‘’Where’s she at?’’ Harry asks the woman as notices Niall, Tori, and Taylor’s absence. I think Perrie got here already with the baby, but I wasn’t sure.
‘’Oh, she’s in an ultrasound.’’ She tells us.
‘’What the fuck, why didn’t you fucking tell us!’’ Harry asks.
‘’Harry.. calm down..’’ I say, grabbing his hand.
He nods as a tear rolls down his cheek.
We sit and wait for them to return. My little girl could be sick and I wouldn’t know because of that stupid nurse. She didn’t even tell me why she was in the ultra sound.
Just calm down Jana, calm down.. you can do this. Its okay. She’s okay. She’s going to be okay.. Niall’s with her, she’s not alone. She’s okay…
