Starts With Goodbye
Chapter 11
Niall’s POV
Tori and I were patiently waiting in the room. The doctors should return soon with any test results and all that medical stuff. I thought I would die of a panic attack, but Tori keeps my temper down. My little angel keeps me sane, most of the time.
“Daddy..’’ She mumbles gently.
‘’Yeah babe?’’ I ask.
‘’Where’s Mama?’’ She looks over at me.
‘’Um.. I don’t know..’’ I tell her honestly.
‘’Oh well, can you call her?’’ She asks me sweetly, fluttering her eyelashes at me.
She knows how to get her way, and I’ll give it to her with out any hesitation. I’d do anything to keep my baby happy.
“Yeah, babe.’’ I nod as I take my phone from my pocket and I dial Jana’s number.
I hold the phone to my ear, not wanting Tori to be able to hear it, so I didn’t even dare turn the speaker on. It rings a few times and finally, she answers.
‘’Hello?’’ Jana sighs out.
‘’Hey, Tori wanted me to call you.. and ask you.. where are you at?’’ I tell her.
‘’Me and Harry are with the police.. witnesses I guess.. but tell her I’ll be there soon.’’ Jana says, her voice cracking.
‘’Did they.. get him?’’ I ask, curiously.
‘’Yeah.. instant charges.’’ She tells me.
‘’Good. I’ll let you know if we find out anything before you get here, okay?’’
‘’Okay. Perrie’s on her way, she’s got Taylor. I asked her to drop him off with you. Is that okay?’’ Jana asks me.
‘’Yeah, love. That’s perfectly fine.’’ I assure her.
‘’Okay.. bye Niall.’’
‘’Bye, Jana.’’
She hangs up first. I put my phone on the small table beside the chair I’m in. I take a deep breath and release it as I focus on footsteps and talking outside of the door.
Suddenly, the door opens. The doctor comes in and he smiles at me as he sits on the stool. Sara’s back in here, but just her this time.
“Well, Mr. Horan, we got most of the test results back. And I’m glad to say that Tori hasn’t contracted any sexual transmitted diseases.’’ He says to me.
‘’Thank God..’’ I sigh out to myself as I continue to listen to him talk.
‘’In a few minutes, we’re going to send an Ovarian doctor down here. I figured you would prefer a woman to look at Tori, and the ovarian doctors do the vaginal exams. We’re going to assure you that we’ll take good care of her, and make sure we can do as much as we possibly can.’’ He smiles a little before standing up, leaving me in the room with Sara.
‘’Okay, sweetie. Can I ask you a few questions?’’ She says as she leans against the counter.
Tori nods in response. I try not to look directly at them, but I do listen. Just for Tori’s answers mainly.
‘’Can you show me where you’re hurting the most?’’ Sara asks.
I look at Tori to see for myself. She points to her crotch, and dear God forgive me, but I wanted to kill that fucking bastard.
‘’Okay, what does it feel like? Is it itchy? Burning? Or what, honey.’’ Sara says. She’s a good nurse.
‘’It burns.. and it hurts..’’ Tori mumbles, staring at her fingers.
‘’Okay, thank you sweetie.’’ Sara smiles, getting one in return from Tori.
She walks the short distance to me and leans to my ear.
‘’I really hope everything’s okay..’’ She whispers kindly.
‘’Thank you.’’ I mumble back.
She slightly smiles before exiting the room once again, probably to return later.
