We go into the lunch room and I stop dead in my tracks when I see who's looking at me with a smirk.
Jace. Standing right there in the lunch room.
I know we have some issues we need to talk about but I'm really happy to see him again. I mean, last night, I was not in my normal state.

I smile brightly and run happily to him. I hug him tightly and ask :

- What are you doing there?!
- You remember how I kind of dropped out of school back in Miami? Well...I'm back! I know you're happy, don't make that face!

I laugh but whispers :

- But Jace...how will you manage the gang?
- Don't worry about that, I've got a wingman, plus I can always skip school, like we used to.

I'm so happy right now, I could cry. He did this for me. My best boy friend chose to go back to school to see me. I chuckle and see that Emily is watching us carefully, along with every single person in the room. I think those people never saw me do anything other than smirk or yell at them.
Oh crap. I forgot. Emily is Quinn's girlfriend so she must be a part of the gang too...
She must know Jace...I mean, he's quite famous in the criminal world.

You're in deep shit right now Nikki...

- Yes you are Nikki...Please, enlighten me...What the heck are you doing with someone who is part of Blackwell's gang, again...?, Jace asks, half-amused, half-angry.

I talked out loud. Again.
He really likes to see me in fucked situations. That asshole.
I flash him a smile and raise my eyebrows.

- You're not my father Jace, are you? So, shut up, I say grinning.
- You sure about that? I mean...you're mom is FINE!, he wiggles his eyebrows.
- Oh shut it! You wouldn't be able to make out with her, I would kill you! Plus, I don't think she's interested in douchebag wannabes...
- Oww, I didn't think Justin was interested in annoying badasses either, and look how it turned!

I slap him playfully on the shoulder and turn to Emily.

- Erm...Jace, can we maybe talk somewhere other than there? People are staring and it's starting to annoy me..., I say loudly so the students can hear it.
- Okay, I know what you can do when you're annoyed...let's get out of there..., he laughs.

Jace, Emily and I enter an empty classroom and I sit cross-legged on the teacher's desk.

- Uh...so...what do you guys want to know...?

They look at each other with distaste and say at the same time :

- What are you doing why him?
-Why are you hanging out with her?

Okay. I'm officially dead.

Okay so guys, I'm really really really sorry I didn't update in like 3 weeks! I had a lot of things to do ( I had my exams but now school is finished in France! Free at last! Thank god! I didn't think I would manage the semester haha! ) and also I started this new story, called the Getaway!
