Where Do Broken Hearts Go (Sequel to You and I)

Niall’s POV

We finally landed off the plane. New Years’ Eve was tomorrow, so the boys and I had the entire day to explore New York. Although, that was likely not going to happen because Sophia, Eleanor, Perrie and Bernice were here. However, Emily was flying to New York as well to visit her family. I was going to pick her up from the airport later in the evening. When we were in the airport, fans and paparazzi were swarming us.It was so loud and everyone was shouting.

“I love you Harry!” said a fan.

“Can I take a picture with you guys?!” said another fan.

“Niall, who’s the mystery girl? How does Connie feel about this?” A paparazzi said.

My fist clenched. Why do they need to know everything about my life?

We got to the car and headed to our hotel. We were going to meet the girls at the hotels since they were staying in the same one.

When we got to the hotel lobby, the girls were already there. Of course, the boys went running.

The boys and I got to our hotel room. The girls soon later joined us and we were just having some small conversations.

“Hey Bernice, when is Connie coming? I can’t wait to see her!” Eleanor said.

I looked up really fast at Bernice. I didn’t know Connie was coming to New York.

“She’s probably off the plane right now with Evan.I’ll go call her.” Bernice said.

“Great! Tell her to come to dinner with us!” Sophia said.

I got up and pulled Bernice to the kitchen.

“You didn’t tell me Connie was coming?!” I said.

“Well, she’s coming with Evan because it was Evan’s Christmas present to her.” Bernice said.

This is going to be so awkward because Emily was coming too. I don’t know why but I’m feeling a bit nervous. I’m trying to move on and seeing Connie won’t help. It’s confusing because I think I have feelings for Emily, but something’s stopping me. We both went back to the rest of them.I had to pick Emily from the airport, so I headed out the door.

Paul came with me as well and we headed to the airport.

When we got there, we had to wait a bit.A plane landed and people started heading out. I was trying to look for Emily until I spotted her.

I smiled really big and went towards her.

“Niall!” She said as she hugged me.

“Emily, it’s great to see you!” I said.

“It’s great to see you too and to be back in New York.” She said.

We talked for a bit and headed out the airport. Paul and I helped her grab her things. I told her about coming to dinner with the rest of us. She was staying in the same hotel as us, so she headed back to her own room to get ready. The boys were ready when I headed back to the hotel room.It doesn’t matter because it only takes five minutes. All of us were meeting downstairs with the girls and I told Emily to as well.

When we took the elevator down, we saw the girls. They were talking to Emily. I guess they already met her.

“You girls look lovely tonight!” Harry said.

I walked up to Emily and said, “You look pretty.”

She laughed. “So do you!”

We all got into the car and drove to a nearby restaurant. When we went into the restaurant, Connie and Evan were already there.

Connie looked beautiful with a black dress with some embellishment on it.

Eleanor didn’t hesitate but to run up to Connie and hug her. They have gotten to become really close friends.

“Connie! I missed you!” She said as she hugged her.

“I missed you too!” She said.

Sophia and Bernice ran to hug her as well.

Connie went towards the boys. Of course, the boys missed her.

“CONNIE! WE HAVEN’T SEEN YOU IN SO LONG!” Louis said as he hugged me tightly.

She laughed.

“Connie, it’s great seeing you!” Perrie said as she hugged her.

Connie came towards my direction.

“It’s good seeing you again Niall.” She said as she hugged me.

I looked at Evan and he did seem happy to see me. I quickly pulled away.

“It’s good seeing you too. This is Emily by the way.” I said.

Connie’s POV

“It’s good seeing you again Niall.” I said as he hugged me.

“It’s good seeing you too.This is Emily by the way.” Niall said.

“Hi, I’m Emily.” Emily said.

“I’m Connie. Nice meeting you.” I said.

So, this was Niall’s mystery girl. Awesome.

We all sat down at our seats. This is going to be an interesting dinner.

Niall’s POV

Dinner wasn’t that bad. We were all just having small conversations here and there. To be honest, I couldn’t stop staring at Connie. She looked great and it was nice seeing her smile.

The boys seemed to have warmed up to Evan, despite the fact that I particularly didn’t like him that much.

“Are you guys going back to school soon?” Liam asked.

“Yeah, in a week.Back to stressing out about assignments and tests again!” Evan said as he laughed.

Connie’s POV

Throughout dinner, I couldn’t help but glance at Niall once in a while. I could’ve sworn that he was glancing at me as well.Emily seemed like a nice girl for him.

Wait, why am I thinking about this? It doesn’t matter to you, Connie.

“Connie, did you hear me?” Zayn asked.

I snapped out of it.

“Pardon?” I said.

“I asked if you wanted some more water.” Zayn said.

“Oh, that would be great.” I said.

I need to stop getting lost in my own thoughts.

Niall’s POV

When we finished dinner, we all headed back to the hotel. Everyone headed to our hotel room to just hang out for a bit. It seemed like everyone was liking Emily. She was talking to the rest of the the group.

Evan and Connie had to go. Evan was saying goodbye to the others when suddenly, someone tapped my on the shoulders.

“Hey Niall.” Connie said.

“Oh, hey Connie.” I said as I smiled.

“I just wanted to to tell you that your brother told me about how you’re going to be the best man.Congratulations.” She said as she smiled.

“Thank you.” I said.

“Could you also tell him congratulations and thank him for inviting me to his wedding?” She asked.

“Oh, no problem.Of course.” I said.

“Thanks.” She said.

I smiled.

“I have to go but good luck performing tomorrow! Evan and I are going to Times Square as well!” She said.

“Alright, see you tomorrow and thank you.” I said.

Soon after, Connie and Evan both headed out the door.
